Check in was horrible. First off, this was our second time at the Sands, our 7th time to Cancun. Now back to our story. Our flight got cancelled and rescheduled twice before our trip due to weather issues. In the end we were going to arrive early to our hotel. Our four kids got up at 3 am to make our flight, it was brutal. I called ahead to the hotel and told them our situation and asked if we were able to at least get our wrist bands and eat while our room became ready since our kids were going to be so tired and we had paid for 10 days, in a 2 room all-inclusive suite. I was assured that they would take care of us. When we got there, my youngest daughter felt sick. She was not feeling well at all. The check in lady said we could not get our wrist bands since we were 40 mins early from their normal check in time and that we would have to pay for lunch. I told her that I had called ahead and was assured they would take care of us. She could not care even a little. I told her my daughter wasn’t feeling well. Again, she could care less. We told her we paid $10k for 10 days and asked if she was being serious? She could care less. It was beyond frustrating. And honestly, I will never go back for the simple reason that you do not treat your customers like they are asking for a hand out when you should be overwhelming them with great customer service. She literally made us wait 40 mins to get our wrist bands. It was horrible. We will never be back.
