We feel very lucky to have found the Relais Borgo Campello. The setting, high on a hillside looking across a wide valley with hilltop towns in the distance, is stunning. The building is a refurbished former monastery, with thick walls, beautifully furnished sitting and reading rooms, and tree-shaded terraces. We loved sitting outside in the gentle breeze, listening to the birds, and gazing at the panorama unfolding below us. The staff was always kind and attentive with us non-Italian-speakers. A lavish buffet beakfast, with fresh croissants and cakes and superb local cold meats, was free for the guests. The restaurant served excellent regional cuisine, prepared by the on-site chef. Local truffles and saffron and wild boar featured prominently. The prices are quite modest by our American standards. We have enjoyed our stay here enormously and feel refreshed and rejuvenated. A special bonus is the electric car charger just outside the front door.

Visited here as part of a walking tour. Arrived walking from trevi and then left walking to spoleto both also great routes on the st. Francis way. Very special place to stay. My room was in the fortress with its own front door. A cross between a hotel room and a mini studio apartment. Very atmospheric and great to feel like really within the walled fortress. No panoramic view from the room but short walk down the street and a perfect bench to sit on and admire the spectacular views. Used the spa and would highly recommend if you have the chance. Sole use of sauna and hydrotherapy pool with jets and bubbles etc. Situated in a fortress cellar access down some stairs from terrace. Had my meals in the converted convent. Outside the walls and down the hill a bit. Its another very special building. There was a bit of walking between the different elements which i really enjoyed but back up the hill after dinner did feel pretty steep maybe not for someone with mobility concerns. Food was great. Sous vide pork especially delicious. There were only two tables at breakfast and they did us personal buffet spreads on our tables and good coffee. Service was great.

We had such a wonderful stay at Relais Borgo Campello! We stayed in one of the suites in the Castello, which included a lovely patio and a small kitchen. The decor was a perfect blend of modern comfort with classic Italian style. Everything had been updated recently. The bed was great, with wonderful linens and we slept so well! We enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet every morning and dinner in the restaurant most evenings. Such delicious regional Italian specialties that we were so happy to try! But the best part was the warm welcome we received from Daniela, Valentina and the other members of the team. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, we really felt at home. We recommend this special spot where you feel like you are on top of the world!

Amazing stay in a castle! Perfect scenery, beautiful property and room, private Spa and super friendly and helpful owners and staff. As I understand they plan to make a swimming pool. That would make it even more perfect. Dinner was certainly good but with the perfect view during dinner the menu could maybe be a bit more haute cuisine (but that’s just my opinion) Highly recommended!

We decided at last minute to spend a night at this Relais with our family (16 people from over 70’s to 1 yr old). Daniela and Enzo have been very flexible to find the best solution for each of us depending on the different needs (age, etc) All the rooms are extremely clean, cozy and seem to have been recently renovated. The cherry on the cake has been the dinner with several authentic and delicious local dishes. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try the private spa which I would highly recommend to do if you plan to go there.

Abbiamo soggiornato tre notti in questo splendido relais composto da due strutture separate (convento e castello) ristrutturate perfettamente. La nostra camera al castello era confortevole, tutto nuovo e molto pulito, il castello è delizioso, una vera oasi di pace, ottimi i servizi e anche il ristorante, personale gentilissimo e preparato, vista mozzafiato e tanti bei luoghi da visitare nei paraggi... Consigliatissimo!

Bellissimo soggiorno per il ponte del 25 aprile, location immersa nella pace e serenità! Tutto li staff si è mostrato super disponibile, ottima colazione e possibilità di cena in loco apprezzatissima. La spa ad uso esclusivo è un plus che consiglio anche in rapporto qualità prezzo. Sembra di tornare indietro di un secolo, in questo borgo medievale dove sono stati ricavati degli alloggi confortevoli, ma senza alterare l'aspetto delle antiche strutture abitative. Passeggiare tra quei viali in pietra nel silenzio della natura non ha prezzo. Complimenti ai gestori, che sono riusciti a sfruttare un bene ereditato dal passato e a farlo apprezzare nel presente
