What a valuable staff member to have with the team She made our trip very special as the kids enjoyed the popcorn at the movies and the strawberries at bfast We loved the pool, It was our favourite and why we chose to stay there! The rooms could be a bit bigger, but pretty good for just a couple of nights. If you were doing a long trip with the family, it probably wouldn’t be ideal having some apartment style buildings would be a big bonus for somewhere with such great facilities and location.

Wir haben 4 Nächte in diesem Double Tree Hotel verbracht und heute abchecken. Im allgemeinen ist das Hotel sehr grundlegende nicht meine Erwartungen erfüllt - - Frühstück ist so grundlegende und müde, nicht viel Sorte - Zimmer ist Standard - haben um eine Aufwache angefordert die Hotelrezeptor wurde vergessen - Glück, dass wir nicht spät für den frühen Flug sind - Rezeption auch vergessen, den Taxi zu buchen Die Lage ist gut Ich empfehle es nicht für meine Familien und Freunde.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und das Zimmer ist sehr sauber. Vom Balkon aus kann man das Meer sehen und zum Pier sind es nur zehn Minuten zu Fuß. Diesmal fiel es zufällig mit dem Sturm in Queensland zusammen. Der Flughafen und die Straßen waren gesperrt, und die Touristenattraktionen waren mehrere Tage lang geschlossen. Glücklicherweise war es ein gutes Gefühl, am dritten Tag an einem sonnigen Tag durch die Stadt zu schlendern. und schließlich konnte ich auf Green Island schnorcheln und schwimmen gehen.

Für uns war dieses Hotel das beste im Preis, Leistungsverhältnis und Ausstattung in Australien Unser Zimmer war aussergewöhnlich gross und sehr sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und die City von Cairns ist per Fuss bequem und schnell zu erreichen. Das gesamte Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich, wir fühlten uns sehr gut betreut. negativ ist das WLAN - wie in sehr vielen Hotels in Australien - sehr schlecht, vor allem die Geschwindigkeit ist langsam und könnte verbessert werden.

Ich hatte Deluxe Meerblick Doppelzimmer.Sehr schöner Blick.Die beste Lage, der Küstenbrettwalk ist nur neben dem Hotel(kann auf meinem Balkon sehen).Ich habe Bewertungen gelesen, die sagen, es ist alt, aber in der Tat wird es in akzeptabler Weise gepflegt.Verwartet nicht luxuriöse 5Sterne Design ,es ist mehr wie Resort-Stil hotel.Der Pool ist groß,mit einem kleinen beheizten Pool.Gym ist klein, aber ausreichend,immer leer.Die Zimmer sind sauber, täglich gefärbt.Seien Sie vorsichtig die Badewanne hat nur die Hälfte Glas abgedeckt, keine Überschwemmung würde passieren, wenn Sie vorsichtig sein. Sehr schönes Zimmer. Hilfsbereit und schönes Front Desk Personal. Sehr gut für den Wert.

Built on the pier right next to the cruises and tourist centre. Many dinning options down the ground floor. The hotel is old but under good maintenance

Great food and friendly helpful staff. Although this building is quite old it has been reasonably well renovated and is very comfortable to stay at. I had to leave VERY early to catch a bus and was supplied with a box breakfast, most welcome at 5am. On my return from my trip to Karumba we found that my booking had been made incorrectly a week further ahead.on arrival at 7pm , very tired,I was very grateful that the duty manager was able to put me into a very nice room for the night, and I was able to have a delightful meal and catch up with the gorgeous Shoni who welcomed me back even though I looked and smelt like Robinson Caruso, would definitely go there again.

Ich war hier für 3 Nächte. Ich kam mit einem Morgenflug an und der Check-in war um 14:00 Uhr, sodass ich bis dahin ohne Pläne zum Hotel ging und eine Dusche für den Pool mieten konnte, was sehr hilfreich war. Auch das Personal war sehr nett und begrüßte uns mit einem Lächeln. Allerdings befindet sich der Fön nur im Zimmer, seien Sie also vorsichtig. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool, einen Sportplatz und sogar eine Tischtennisplatte sowie eine Vielzahl von Pflanzen, sodass Sie auch einen kurzen Spaziergang genießen können. Ich übernachtete ohne Mahlzeiten, aber das Restaurant war morgens geöffnet, sodass ich das Frühstück genießen und die Aussicht bewundern konnte. Was den Zugang angeht, habe ich ihn immer mit Uber erreicht, da ich mit dem Taxi vom Flughafen oder vom Stadtzentrum von Cairns weniger als 10 Minuten brauche. Wenn Sie in Cairns spielen, ist es am besten, in einem Hotel in der Stadt zu übernachten, aber ich dachte, dieses Hotel sei eine gute Wahl, da es viel Grün gibt.

Thoroughly enjoyed out time at Blue Lagoon Resort. Booking and checkin was easy. The reception staff where friendly, attentive and professional. Our one bedroom unit was well equipped, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Bed was super comfy. Although we had no trouble it was on the second floor up four flights of stairs with no elevator, some may find this difficult. The resort has two pools, one heated, that are also clean and well maintained. Location is great with several restaurants in easy walking distance. Have breakfast in the onsite restaurant. The eggs benedict was delicious and the servings are generous. The price was reasonable and cheaper than most other options around the northern beaches of Cairns.

The good: • Located on a quiet street, super quiet stretch of beach and feels “tucked away” • Contactless check in and out, instructions were clear and emailed in advance • Pool area was great. Good size heated pool (not too hot which was nice), kids loved the space which was lovely with well kept gardens and there was even a trunk of pool toys for them to use. The steps/getting in area was wide enough for my daughter to use it as a bit of a kiddie pool space • We liked having our parking space literally right outside our door which made it easy with the kids • Hearing the waves from the unit was great • The unit had everything you needed, enough towels, kitchen stuff etc and especially important enough garbage bags for one per day • Beds were comfortable • Smithfield is close for groceries and restaurants • Good food from the Thai restaurant and fast delivery The not so good: • It’s a little too quiet if you were to have kids older than ours. Ours are little (3 and 4) and we can make anything fun - older kids would be bored. More suited to older couples • No restaurants around except the one they recommend and not really kid friendly • So many things in the unit we had was broken or damaged in some way. The washing machine was rusted with broken buttons, the dryer handle (and the dryer is on the patio which is odd and detracts from the patio area as you don’t want to sit there with the dryer going), the clothes drying rack, the dimmer switches, the patio doors didn’t latch closed, plastic shutters in the master bedroom, broken toaster lever - all broken. The painting was also damaged from the leaky air conditioner. • The couch is the worst my husband and I have ever sat on. It’s lumpy and just needs to go. Please do this for the sake of future guests. We gave up even trying to sit on it and watched tv on the tv in the second bedroom. • The master bedroom is at the back facing onto the car park. Why isn’t the master that great front room with the sound of the waves and the view? • No water jug to use for the fridge • Black mould in the bathroom definitely needs addressing The biggest issue we had was that it’s not child friendly. There is no chain/privacy latch on the door and kids can just open it and get out (or anyone can come in with the code). The patio doors also don’t have a key or high latch lock and there’s no glass surrounding the patio garden space so not secure for little kids. All up it was ok but it’s obvious the units are individually owned - some have residents that live there - and that made it a little awkward on occasion with our kids in the pool when much older residents just wanted a quiet swim. It also means the quality, upkeep etc of the units vary which is a downside for us. Lovely location, but we wouldn’t stay again.
