AAlexeyExcellent option to stay in general and even better value-for-money. The location is right between the passenger sea terminal and the main train station but it nevertheless somehow manages to remain a relatively quiet place (probably, because it is located in an isolated residential apartment building). Easy reach to the train station through the overground pass. The check-in is fully automated but little bit complicated (especially when arriving by car) but they send extensive instructions beforehand. We nevertheless got some warning at the parking, because the parking lot we used was not supposed for our type of vehicles. The answer from the management was simply ”to look around for our type of vehicle and park nearby”. The apartment itself is very high-tech, but everything is in Korean, so be prepared to use some translation apps to set temperature et al.

GGastnutzerMein Enkelkind kam aus Japan und entschied sich für eine Reise nach Busan.
Als ich im L7 Hotel ankam, herrschte am Eingang etwas Verwirrung, aber als ich nach der Überprüfung der Reservierung zum Check-in-Schalter im 3. Stock ging, wurde meine Nationalität nach einer Weile als Chinesisch oder so aufgeführt Mir wurde ein Zimmer mit Meerblick zugewiesen. Es dauerte einige Zeit.
Erstens ist es großartig, weil es in der Nähe des Strandes liegt. Die Einrichtungen sind auch freundlich.
Allerdings wirkt der Raum etwas eng, aber nicht so ungemütlich.
Wenn ich noch einmal reise, denke ich, dass ich auf jeden Fall wiederkommen werde.

Das Zimmer war sauber und der Service sehr freundlich. Großer Aufenthalt für Menschen, die ein Einzelzimmer/Badezimmer in der Nähe des Stadtzentrums suchen, anstatt Hostels mit gemeinsamen Zimmern!

GGastnutzerDie Lage ist ausgezeichnet, nur 2 Gehminuten vom Ausgang 6 des Bahnhofs Busan entfernt. Ich habe schon einmal im Toyoko Inn in Daegu übernachtet, aber dieses ist etwas kleiner und bietet weniger Buffetoptionen. Im ersten Stock gibt es einen Geldwechselautomaten, was sehr praktisch ist. Leider ist die Toilette nicht gepflegt und auf der Toilettenbrille befindet sich nicht gereinigter Schmutz.
Auch der Gepäckaufbewahrungsservice ist gut. Auf der anderen Straßenseite gibt es vor dem Bahnhof Busan einen separaten Raucherbereich. Im gesamten Hotel ist das Rauchen verboten. Nebenan gibt es einen Supermarkt und ein Starbucks.

Pros:
- Lage. Es liegt an der belebtesten Straße und in Haeundae, sodass die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten in Busan gut zu erreichen sind.
- Platz. Sehr geräumig.
- Gute Klimaanlage
Cons:
- Aussicht. Ich habe extra für ein Zimmer mit „teilweisem Meerblick“ bezahlt und es gab einen großen Unterschied zwischen Bildern und der Realität. Es stellte sich heraus, dass es nur ein Zimmer gibt, das wie auf dem Bild aussieht, und die anderen Zimmer haben auf einer Seite eine Fensterwand, die mit dem Balkon verbunden ist. Die Fensterwand hatte große und klobige Fensterscheiben, die es unmöglich machten, die Aussicht zu genießen. Noch verrückter ist, dass der Balkon eine riesige STEINMAUER hatte, sodass wir nicht einmal eine Aussicht hatten, DIE HÄLFTE VON DEM, WAS WIR SEHEN, WAR NUR EINE MAUER. Wir konnten das Meer nur aus einem ganz bestimmten Winkel an einem winzigen Fleck auf dem Bett sehen. Das lohnt sich nicht und ich bereue, das Zimmer gebucht zu haben.
- Lärm. Die Straßenmusiker singen am Wochenende bis spät. Da wir direkt über dem Straßenmusikplatz untergebracht waren, konnten wir bei geschlossenen Fenstern jedes Wort der Texte hören und uns nicht wirklich unterhalten, ohne unsere Stimme zu erheben. Wir konnten unsere eigenen Gedanken nicht hören.
- Mangelnde Liebe zum Detail. Unbequem. Die Dusche ist nicht richtig gebaut und das Wasser tropft nicht, es fließt aus der Dusche heraus. Kein Bidet. Der Haartrockner ist schwach und riecht alt.
- Total unterbesetzt. Wir checkten um 10:45 Uhr aus, 15 Minuten vor der Check-out-Zeit und normalerweise die geschäftigste Zeit an der Rezeption. Ein Mitarbeiter kümmert sich um Telefonanrufe, organisiert Taxifahrten und überwacht/verwaltet die Gepäckaufbewahrung. Wir fühlten uns wirklich nicht sicher, als wir unser Gepäck in der Lobby aufbewahrten, da das Personal so abgelenkt war und physisch nicht sehen konnte, was mit dem Gepäck passierte, obwohl es direkt vor der Rezeption war, versperrte die Warteschlange die Sicht.
Zumindest ist die Option mit teilweisem Meerblick das Geld überhaupt nicht wert. Ich fühle mich betrogen und empfehle dringend andere Optionen in ähnlicher Preisklasse oder Hotels mit Meerblick in der Nähe von Gwangan-li, da Haeundae eine sehr touristische Region ist. Nach zwei Nächten in der Gegend sind Sie erschöpft.

WWBooked a room with ocean view, and the staff is kinda to give me the highest floor (31st floor). The view is breathtaking! Loving the sound of the sea at night and the cool ocean breeze in the day. You can open the door to the balcony to enjoy the ocean view fully.
The room is clean, quiet, and spacious. I like that the hotel is environmentally-conscious, so there’s no disposable amenities like toothpaste, toothbrush, comb etc. it’s good to bring your own for your stay here. The room provides leather slippers and 3 bottles of drinking water. The table is long so there’s plenty of space for working.
The location is fabulous. Downstairs there’s a coffee and a bar. There’s also an olive young shop and a 23-hour pork soup shop about 50m away. Haeundae beach is about 50 m away. It is about 150m from Haeundae station. This street has a lot of shops that open late at night, and several convenience stores.

Located conveniently within the city, the hotel serves as a great base for travelers looking to explore Busan’s vibrant neighborhoods, beaches, and culinary spots. From check-in to check-out, my stay was smooth, and I found the hotel to be a solid mix of comfort, cleanliness, and character.
Check-in & First Impressions:
Upon arrival, I was greeted by courteous front desk staff who spoke basic English and were very accommodating. The check-in process was fast and efficient, with minimal hassle. The lobby itself was tastefully decorated—nothing extravagant, but definitely welcoming. It had a quirky charm that felt a bit more boutique than your average budget hotel.
Room:
I stayed in a standard double room, which was surprisingly spacious. The decor was modern and minimalist, with a few unique touches that gave it personality. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean, crisp linens. I appreciated the small details like a well-lit vanity area, USB charging ports, and a mini-fridge. The room also had good soundproofing, which meant I could rest peacefully even though the hotel is near a busy area.
The bathroom was spotless, equipped with a full set of toiletries, and had a surprisingly luxurious rainfall shower. Water pressure was excellent, and hot water was consistent throughout my stay. Some rooms also offer jacuzzis or bathtubs, depending on the tier you book, which I thought was a great value.
Amenities & Services:
While Hotel Elephant isn’t a full-service luxury property, it offers everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There’s a vending machine area, complimentary bottled water, and in-room amenities like a kettle, coffee, and tea. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, even during peak hours. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or gym, but there are plenty of cafes and convenience stores nearby to make up for it.
Housekeeping was thorough and respectful. My room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished without needing to request anything.
Location:
This is arguably one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s just a short walk from a nearby subway station, which made commuting to places like Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangalli very easy. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops within walking distance. Whether you’re into street food or want to try Busan’s famous seafood, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re into nightlife, there’s also plenty happening in the area, but thankfully, the hotel itself remains peaceful at night.
Staff & Hospitality:
Every staff member I interacted with was polite and eager to help. While not everyone was fluent in English, they made an effort to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even helping me book a cab using local apps. Their hospitality made the stay feel much warmer and more personal than I expected.
Overall Impression:
Hotel Elephant may not be a five-star hotel, but it delivers more than what you’d expect from its price point. It’s clean, cozy, and well-located—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even friends on a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re visiting Busan and want a reliable place to stay that offers good value without compromising on comfort, this hotel is a solid pick. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Busan.

GGastnutzerThe location is good as it is very close walking distance to shopping streets and the price is affordable. Room is equipped with a smart TV. I did not need to use my travel adaptor as well. Basic toiletries available. However, the bath towel is in face towel size. Clothes hanging area is on top/in front of the dresser. Things to note if staying here. Hotel is located upslope from the streets. (relatively steep) Most of the times (like a 9 out of 10), I was unable to book a taxi from my hotel due to the kakao taxi app prompting that cars cannot enter my area (they will outline the roads on the app to show the roads that cars cannot enter).I had to walk some distance out to another place to book a taxi. However, there was no restrictions to drop off at this address but many times, the driver will also drop me somewhere further away to walk in. Both the guy & lady (seems like lady boss) receptionists seems enthusiastic for a normal conversation but can become rude when we enquire or request for help. I had difficulty switching on the aircon when I first checked in and called for help. They refused to come and help and the instructions was vague as all I can understand was ”the switch is below the TV”. I later found out that it is common for aircon switch to be on the TV remote controller in Korea after I checked in to another hotel. It was after the third call when we flared up that someone came to help. But the help was of course also a rude one. Another thing to note is that they only give one access card and this access card is also the only card that manages the power in the room. If you insert another card in the slot for power, they will switch off your electricity after a while. This means you will not be able to probably sleep/shower in the room if your partner goes out since you will have to be the one to open the door, unless you can stay in the room without any power. You will also not be able to charge your phones/power banks etc while you are out and the refrigeration will also be off. The receptionist have called us via room phone and scolded us for putting a foreign card in. I think this is upsetting as we usually have more than one card in other hotels. The other hotel that I booked in Seoul even had a ready card slotted in for power and we still had 2 cards for access. Another downside: There was some form of leak from toilet bowl area and I cannot make out where its from. There will be a typical pee stench after awhile. Both the automatic bidets and manual bidets did not work in my toilet. I am not sure if this only happens in my room thus this is just for reference. Otherwise my toilet was huge and the water jet was strong. Do note that they allow early check in but it is chargeable. When I reached 2 hours earlier, I was told that their hotel does not have early check in. After asking further, they told me to pay 20,000 won if I want to check in early and I got my room immediately. I would have preferred if they told me from the start that early check in is possible for a fee.
