Just come back from a city break in Budapest and spent 3 nights here. We booked it via Jet2 City Breaks. The hotel is in District 7. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you to the Szechenyl Thermal spa, You can pay on the bus 450 Hungarian forint. However You don't get change . The hotel can book the spa tickets for you; just enquire at reception as we did. So no queuing in the spa to get in. The hotel also offers an airport transfer service. We didn't use this but handy to know. You can also get the hop on hop off bus tickets at the hotel too. Breakfast was fine; European choices; sausages; scrambled eggs; boiled eggs; croissants; cereal; yoghurt. They also cater if you are gluten free so just ask. Staff were friendly & easy to speak to. Hotel room was clean; nice clean white towels & bedding. Air con in the rooms with large windows to open. Tv in the room & hairdryer in the bathroom (low power but does the job); shower gel in the shower too. Room could probably do with a freshener but we only slept here as out all day so didn't matter. A short walk to the metro which allows easy transport to different areas. A single ticket on the metro is 600 Hungarian forint or you can buy return tickets or day passes. Word of warning buy a ticket as tickets are checked regularly on the metro and a fine is 12,000 Hungarian forint which is roughly £25. Don't get caught out. You can get a day ticket for about £4 and have 24 hr unlimited use on the metro, bus & trams. So well worth it. No tea making facilities in the room but there is a bar downstairs. The nearest metro we used to go to is Keleti Palyaudaur.

This hotel suited us. Right from the start we received good welcome from reception and throughout the stay they were cheerful, always acknowledged us when we came in and out and were happy to call us taxis. The place was very clean. Breakfast met all our needs: selection of cheeses/salami/ham, musli, fresh fruit cocktail, bowls of fruit, pastries, yogurt, avocado, breads, bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, beans, salad, peppers, coffee/hot chocolate machine was good, fruit juices etc. I really wanted to use the hot tub/sauna but we ran out of time so can’t comment on that. Our apartment itself (703) was very good. We had 2 floors with 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom had a good tv, nice decor, beds and pillows I found super comfy, had a better night sleep than I do at home. Only negative for me was that the bedroom we had never had a wardrobe, the one next door had a good wardrobe and there was also one downstairs if we were really bothered and wished to hang up and run up and down the stairs, but we never had much clothes for the weekend so were happy to stack jumpers under bedside table and I lay my trousers over the top of my case so wasn’t a huge issue for me. Shower was great! Bathroom modern and clean. Had a hairdryer, shower cap and shower gel and body lotion. Lounge area had a sofa, dining table and kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle, hob and pans/utensils. They provided a tea towel and dish liquid, few sachets of coffee and tea bags but no sugar or milk cartons. The system they used was if you wanted the bedroom cleaning the next day you had to put a sign on door the evening before (before midnight). If you wanted towels changing then had to let reception know. Big plus for us was that the hotel was very quiet, no outside noise to disturb our sleep and that we had 2 bedrooms so our daughter had her own room and a proper bed. This was in preference to 1 hotel room with a sofa bed which I didn’t want. I thought the cost was good. Only other comment is that the hotel is a little out of the centre which we knew when we booked, but chose the hotel based on cost, having the 2 bedrooms and a lounge rather than all in a hotel room, good reviews and the fact that it was quiet as wasn’t in the city centre. There was option to use the nearby public transport but we were happy to walk, or called a taxi when we needed to. Overall I was really happy with the stay.

Am Beginn und zum Ende einer 3- wöchigen Asien-Tour mit Abflug/Ankunft Budapest habe ich im neuen Intercity-Hotel direkt am Keleti-Bahnhof übernachtet. Die Zimmer sind wie bei alle neuen Intercity-Hotel praktisch eingerichtet und man findet auch genügend Platz für das Gepäck. Das Hotel liegt am Baross tèr, 5 Minuten Fussweg vom Keleti-Bahnhof und auch der Metro entfernt. Ideale Lage für Bahnreisende und auch Stadtbesucher. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, ich habe auch einen early check-in bekommen. Das Frühstück war mit mehreren Käse- und Salamisorten und diversen Backwaren sehr vielfältig. Neben dem Hotel befindet sich ein SPAR-Markt, da kann man sich preisgünstig Getränke kaufen.

One of the most budget friendly accommodation in the city! It is in a very strategic location where it is just few meters away from bus stop and metro train station. It is also just few bus stops away from famous tourist destinations. It is near grocery store and vodafone where you can buy a sim card (tip for tourists). Rooms are clean and well maintained. They have self service washing and drying machines, common kitchen and bathrooms, common lounge area, vending machines and many more. This place is wheelchair friendly as well for those who need them. Service wise was great as well. I would commend Thomas from reception for being helpful especially when we arrived from airport at 2AM. Overall, we enjoyed staying here. It is truly a great value for money.

Wir waren im Juli hier mit Freunden. Das Omega Guesthouse haben wir aufgrund des günstigen Preises und der guten Bewertungen ausgewählt. Wie bereits in mehreren Bewertungen erwähnt, ist der Eingangsbereich wenig einladend. Unser Zimmer jedoch- wir hatten ein Apartment mit kleiner Küche - war in Ordnung. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Hof und es war ruhig. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und hat alles, was man so braucht, ohne Schnickschnack. Einfach, funktionell und absolut ausreichend. Mit Handtüchern war man allerdings sehr sparsam. Es gab 1 Duschtuch pro Person. Auf Nachfrage haben wir noch zusätzliche Handtücher erhalten, die aber am nächsten Tag wieder weg waren. Klimaanlage ist vorhanden, kostet aber Gebühr. Wir haben die Nutzung geschenkt bekommen. Frühstück war im Preis enthalten, war aber eher übersichtlich. Es gab 4 verschiedene Varianten zur Auswahl, die am Vortag ausgewählt werden mussten. Es hat gereicht, aber ein Stückchen Obst oder eine zweite Tasse Kaffee ohne Aufpreis wären schön gewesen. Aber für diesen Preis ist das schon ok. Gleich nebenan ist ein Lidl, wo man sich zur Not auch eindecken kann. Metrostation ist auch direkt vor der Türe, zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten zur Donau. Wir können das Omega Guesthouse weiter empfehlen. Preis-Leistung war in unserem Fall unschlagbar.

The Florin hotel in Budapest was excellent as was the location. Area 6 is well located to the Jewish quarter and the bohemian area. The hotel is 10 min walk to St Stephen’s church. Trams stop right outside the hotel and main metro station is less than a 10 min walk. For over 65s public transport is free, but is cheap anyway and so easy to get about. Attila, Balint and Lori at reception were great ambassadors for Budapest and the hotel - helpful and friendly. The rooms spacious with a little kitchenette and good bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The room is clean and spacious. The beds are good. The staff is kind. I would definitely recommend going to this hotel. Only thing is that it’s not one of the closest hotels to the city centre. There is a breakfast bar next to the hotel where you can get some great sandwiches. The WiFi is fast in the hotel. We also did not hear any noise

Es liegt in der Nähe des Stadions, aber das Hotel grenzt an die U-Bahn-Station und ist nur wenige Haltestellen vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Das Praktischste an diesem Hotel ist, dass es ganz in der Nähe des Busbahnhofs liegt diejenigen, die am nächsten Tag den Bus erreichen wollen.

Sauberes Zimmer, soweit modern eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war okay. Lage ist sehr zentral gelegen, man kommt schnell überall hin. Abzüge gibt es für Folgendes: 1) Im Zimmer gibt es eine Abschaltautomatik für den Strom. Soweit okay, kann man verstehen. Aber: Der Strom wird alle 5 (!) Minuten abgeschaltet, wenn man sich nicht bewegt bzw blöd rumfuchtelt um den Sensor zu aktivieren. Heißt: wenn man im Bett liegt und liest oder TV schaut, geht der Strom halt alle 5 min aus. Und entsprechend auch TV. Sehr unpraktisch auch wenn man nachts das Handy laden möchte. Geht halt einfach nicht. Das ist absurd! Und der TV ist dann auch immer wieder neu anzuschalten, man landet immer erst im Hauptmenü...Ich finde, das geht überhaupt nicht. 2) Nach der ersten Reinigung war die Rolle Toilettenpapier weg (war noch lange nicht leer) und eine Ersatzrolle gab es nicht. Sehr uncool. Immerhin gab es noch so ne Box mit Tüchern, aber wie kann das denn bitte sein? Und eine Ersatzrolle gehört da so oder so auch hin! 3) Absolut unmöglich und erst Recht bei der aktuellen Coronalage (aber auch sonst): Beim Frühstück wird, nachdem der Gast den Tisch verlassen hat, nicht das komplette Besteck am Platz entfernt, wo der Gast saß, sondern man legt ggf ein neues Messer auf die schon da liegende Serviette oder legt eine Serviette hin und dann das vorhandene Besteck wieder drauf usw. Dass das Besteck schon angefasst wurde, ggf sogar benutzt und wieder auf die Serviette gelegt (muss ja optisch nicht sichtbar sein, Bsp Löffel bei Obstsalat), stört das Personal nicht. Das ist ein No-Go! Hab danach das Besteck nicht mehr benutzt - das schränkt das mögliche Frühstück aber sehr ein. Ist das eine Sparmaßnahme? Möglich. Aber das geht halt echt nicht. 4) Ich hatte die ersten Tage nur zwei Handtücher (ein großes, ein kleines) und das Tuch zum darauf steigen wenn man aus der Dusche kommt. Ein Handtuch zum Hände abtrocknen, das große nach dem Duschen. Ich bin es gewöhnt noch ein kleines Handtuch zu haben (zum Haare abtrocknen). Überraschenderweise hatte ich dann nach ein paar Tagen ein zweites kleines Handtuch. Also hat das anfangs offenbar gefehlt und wäre schon vorgesehen gewesen. Das führt insgesamt halt zu einigen Abzügen bei dem Punkten.

Wir waren für 4 Nächte im D8 Hotel und haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Die Mitarbeiter sind total freundlich, wenn man ankommt und man bekommt einen Plan für Budapest. Die Zimmer sind zwar etwas klein und es gibt wenig Möglichkeiten Kleidung zu verstauen, jedoch hat es für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt gereicht. Das Frühstück war auch gut. Das Beste ist die zentrale Lage des Hotels. Man benötigt keine Minute und ist mitten im Geschehen (beim Weihnachtsmarkt). Trotzdem war es in den Zimmern ruhig und man konnte gut schlafen.
