This hotel is by far the very very best I have stayed in. Super central, super clean, super comfortable, super friendly staff, everything was super. they also do social events which are a bonus for their welcoming the clients. Whenever I'll be back to Budapest I won't change this hotel for any other.

I have travelled all around Europe staying in hostels.Maverick hostel is the best i have stayed at so far!!!! Everything was excellent! The staff very friendly and helpful,the location is the best you could get,right in the center in walkable distance from just about every sight worth visiting,and if you need public transportation the metro station is right out of your door. The rooms and common areas are stylish and cosy and cleanliness is top!!! Totally recommend this place. Thank you Maverick staff for making my vacation in Budapest so pleasant!!

This is a wonderful hostels for women travelling alone. Tibor, George, Franceles from Brésil, was just wonderful at the reception( sorry for the names that I forgot). They can book where you need to go the Day before, likes for the baths or the musics events. I am leaving this morning afther 8 nights in a woman dormitory. The matress was firm, sheets soft, you have a refrigerator in the room as well than one in the big kitchen where you can cook your meals. They provide Coffee and tea. There is a supermarket at the corner. It is a old palace, maybe you will feel like a princess. Everything is so easy from here, you can walk all the city and use the public transportation also. Take a ticket, mine was expire for 50 min and they make me pay the 12 000. Beside that, Budapest is very safe and easy for woman travelling alone, this hostel is not a party hotel, it is quiet and you can leave your luggages if you need it. They also organised your transportation at the airport if you need it. Great people, Nice place, you can trust Mavrick hostel for a enjoyable stay! I had the best experience at this hostel. Tibor went over and above by preparing a Hungarian dish for us all to try. The hostel was super clean. The staff was all very helpful. It is centrally located and easy to get around. Staff is very helpful with booking excursions and general directions.

The building is fantastic even if it could use some touch up. It is in a great section of town if you love seeing great historic buildings. It was a 'one bedroom' but there was also a loft and a couch that could open out to a bed so the room could hold as many as six people. The room was very large with a full kitchen. We would stay there again. The only negative thing was that the entry to the building was hard to find and once inside, it was hard to find the reception. But keep searching, it is worth it and try not be distracted by the architecture.

There are excellent facilities in this hostel, such as the showers and the comfortable beds, but also the clean and well-equipped kitchen. The communal space is cosy with nice seatings. WiFi worked well. Coffee, tea and apples! included in the price. The location near Deak Ferenc metro station and close to the airport bus stop is as central as can be. A Lidl supermarket is at the corner of the building in which the hostel is housed. I was afraid the acoustics of the historic mansion would be problematic, but the hostel is well renovated and quiet (also no traffic noise). Staff spoke English and was helpful. Well selected and trained, a sign of good management. The price was a bit higher than at other low-budget places, but I did not mind, as you also get (much) more for your money. Would definitely stay here again.

I stay for few days in Maverick hostel in Budapest Centre. 5 minuts walk from direct bus E100 2200F. I chose ticket 72h 5500 F public transport. Fist I took E200 then Metro and I get out in front of the Maverick Hostel. I found signs over the intersection where Hostel is located. A new receptions that started a week eariel had difficult with enterning my details into database. She was so stress out she start a little bit crying because she could not reach a colleague for help. A computer glitch or something. Second call and she managed to reach for help. I am not sure if I could manged this issus as good as she did, probably not. Well done, I was imprest. Check in is at 3pm because my bed was done earlier then they let me in without waiting till 3pm. From cleaners to receptionist all employees committed to work. Stuff was happy and helful throughout my stay. Big rooms with lockers. Kitchen, living room, dinning room, toilets, showers, etc clean daily, no dirt laying about anywhere. I think entire equipment was install no more than a year ago, kitchen cabinets, toilets, tiles, and showers cabins. Everything seems new. There was a signs all over hoster that they are expending I am not supprise, superb standard. No dirty dishes, crockery, place, pots, etc. FREE of charge wine degustation nice to touch to meet people from different parts of the world. Most of them they were European, only few from North America and some from Asia. It was a very nice time to talk to other people who do not look into telephones and listent how they end up to visit Budapest. Staff was excellent, hostel clean and inexpensive. lt was the best hostel I have ever been so for.

Good experience in a local antique apartment in Budapest. The staff are nice and helpful. Our room is little bit small but it’s however cozy and well equipped. Even though there is no air con, the fan makes us feel comfortable and we could sleep well. It would be great if there is lift from ground floor to the reception floor.

Great old property in a great location for getting to Buda and Pest. Was under some construction at the time but overall very nice.

Awesome experience. We had a lovely private ensuite that was clean and bright with comfy beds and plenty of space. The staff was great, our host Tibor was friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. 10/10 would recommend, the location was prime with lots of spots to eat and explore right outside. Can’t wait to come back!
