What we enjoyed: Real question is what is not to enjoy about this hotel?! The moment you enter the hotel, it gives you this royalistic and luxurious feeling as you walk into and within its hallways. Very beautiful and charming interior design! Clean and luxurious feeling! The staff deserves a special notice of their very friendly and polite presence during our whole stay there, always ready to help and serve our needs. We spent our 2 nights on 4th floor and our room was very pleasent with all its features, bed also very comfortable to sleep on and good soundproofing. Upon first enter, we were pleasently surprised by the dessert serving, that was provided for us as a welcoming gesture from hotel! Cakes don't lie. Breakfast was good and delicious and widely provided! Little bit everything for everyone. We loved the dining area in the hotel's beautiful restaurant hall, where you could enjoy your breakfast meal while admiring the hall's luxurious design. Lastly the spa and gym services provided should be something for everyone to check out. We wanted a spa features for our few days stay in Budapest and Aurea Ana Palace hotel's servings for this need were more than satisfying enough for couple days stay. Sauna was brilliantly realdeal (coming from a finn!) and cold pool, jacuzzi pools were suitable enough for relaxing for couple days. For longer than few days of stay maybe bigger spa facility would be needed. We also took massage service in the hotel, which was provided upon request. Masseuses were very professional and caring during the massage! Gym itself wasn't big deal: 2 treadmills, rowing machine, crosstrainer for some cardio training. Strength training possibilities were very minor due to one only small crosspulley device. What we DID NOT enjoy: Overall, I would say we were fully satisfied and happy of our stay in Aurea Ana Palace hotel. We will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for luxurious experience for few days in the city withoit breaking completely their wallet. We'll be keeping in mind of this pearl for the next time we set foot on Budapest! However, few development ideas to consider for the staff: Spa should be useable also during the earlier day/morning (Spa opens by 13.00). This would give more flexibility and even more richer experience for the guest to enjoy morning bath/sauna before starting their day. Gym could use few more additions for strength training capacities. For example in freeweight section, such as: handweights, bars, etc. Elevator traffic was sometimes too crowded. During our stay one of the two elevators was out of service, which made the hotel's one and only elevator overly congested. The broken elevator was sadly out of service during our whole visit.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, insbesondere an der Rezeption (hilfreich und höflich, hat sich um alle unsere Wünsche gekümmert). Ehrlich gesagt war das Zimmer nicht gerade geräumig, aber die Lage war perfekt👍👌 Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen

Wir waren für 4 Nächte im D8 Hotel und haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Die Mitarbeiter sind total freundlich, wenn man ankommt und man bekommt einen Plan für Budapest. Die Zimmer sind zwar etwas klein und es gibt wenig Möglichkeiten Kleidung zu verstauen, jedoch hat es für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt gereicht. Das Frühstück war auch gut. Das Beste ist die zentrale Lage des Hotels. Man benötigt keine Minute und ist mitten im Geschehen (beim Weihnachtsmarkt). Trotzdem war es in den Zimmern ruhig und man konnte gut schlafen.

Der Standort des Hotel ist gut, abseits aber dennoch in der Stadtmitte.Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer sind sehr schön und gross. Es hat Minibar und Room Service. Was mir sehr gefallen hat, war die Dusche undwie man das Licht regulieren konnte. Leider was das Restaurant Session wegen Bauarbeiten geschlossen. Das Frühstück war an der Bar, aber auch hier war es sehr angenehm..kommen gerne wieder :D. Natürlich ist das Ambiente sehr wichtig und auch hier ist es wie bei HRH gewohnt super gewesen (Musik und Ausstellungsstücke).

Das Hotel befindet sich mitten in Pest, also weit ab von Touristenabzocke. Über die nur 100m entfernte Metrostation M1 kommt man aber in 2 Minuten zum Heldenplatz und Városliget mit all seinen Attraktionen sowie in nur 8 Minuten zum Vörösmártyter und Váci utca, also in die Innenstadt. Das Hotel ist SEHR preisgünstig (inkl. Frühstück), weswegen man jetzt keinen Luxus erwarten darf. Aber es ist oberflächlich sauber (ok- die Fliesen im Bad kleben etwas), Bett ist gut, es gibt freies WLAN, Fernseher und Kühlschrank, selbstverständlich auch Schrank, Tisch und Stühle. Das Frühstück ist zwar jeden Tag gleich, aber es gibt verschiedene Kaffee- und Teesorten, Säfte, Rührei, warme Würstchen, Müsli, 1x Käse- und 3x Wurstaufschnitt, Marmelade, Weißbrot und einen Toaster sowie frische Salatgurke, Tomaten und Paprika. Das ”Roomcleaning” beschränkt sich auf Papierkorbentleerung, ist aber ok- schließlich habe ich den Dreck ja selbst produziert... Das Personal an der Rezeption ist freundlich, die Putzkolonne sowie das Küchenpersonal eher muffig - aber mit denen muss ich ja auch keine Freundschaft schließen. Wer also auf einen ausgerollten roten Teppich und Lachs zum Frühstück verzichten kann, ist hier super und kostengünstig aufgehoben!

The Florin hotel in Budapest was excellent as was the location. Area 6 is well located to the Jewish quarter and the bohemian area. The hotel is 10 min walk to St Stephen’s church. Trams stop right outside the hotel and main metro station is less than a 10 min walk. For over 65s public transport is free, but is cheap anyway and so easy to get about. Attila, Balint and Lori at reception were great ambassadors for Budapest and the hotel - helpful and friendly. The rooms spacious with a little kitchenette and good bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

hier hat einfach alles gepasst. M1 und Busse gleich ums Eck. Zimmer sehr sauber mit viel Platz und äußerst bequemen Betten. Wir waren im 5. Stock untergebracht und hatten daher auch noch einen tollen Ausblick. Service ausgezeichnet, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Werde bei meinem nächsten Budapest-Trip auf jeden Fall wieder ins Up-Hotel einchecken!

Sauberes Zimmer, soweit modern eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war okay. Lage ist sehr zentral gelegen, man kommt schnell überall hin. Abzüge gibt es für Folgendes: 1) Im Zimmer gibt es eine Abschaltautomatik für den Strom. Soweit okay, kann man verstehen. Aber: Der Strom wird alle 5 (!) Minuten abgeschaltet, wenn man sich nicht bewegt bzw blöd rumfuchtelt um den Sensor zu aktivieren. Heißt: wenn man im Bett liegt und liest oder TV schaut, geht der Strom halt alle 5 min aus. Und entsprechend auch TV. Sehr unpraktisch auch wenn man nachts das Handy laden möchte. Geht halt einfach nicht. Das ist absurd! Und der TV ist dann auch immer wieder neu anzuschalten, man landet immer erst im Hauptmenü...Ich finde, das geht überhaupt nicht. 2) Nach der ersten Reinigung war die Rolle Toilettenpapier weg (war noch lange nicht leer) und eine Ersatzrolle gab es nicht. Sehr uncool. Immerhin gab es noch so ne Box mit Tüchern, aber wie kann das denn bitte sein? Und eine Ersatzrolle gehört da so oder so auch hin! 3) Absolut unmöglich und erst Recht bei der aktuellen Coronalage (aber auch sonst): Beim Frühstück wird, nachdem der Gast den Tisch verlassen hat, nicht das komplette Besteck am Platz entfernt, wo der Gast saß, sondern man legt ggf ein neues Messer auf die schon da liegende Serviette oder legt eine Serviette hin und dann das vorhandene Besteck wieder drauf usw. Dass das Besteck schon angefasst wurde, ggf sogar benutzt und wieder auf die Serviette gelegt (muss ja optisch nicht sichtbar sein, Bsp Löffel bei Obstsalat), stört das Personal nicht. Das ist ein No-Go! Hab danach das Besteck nicht mehr benutzt - das schränkt das mögliche Frühstück aber sehr ein. Ist das eine Sparmaßnahme? Möglich. Aber das geht halt echt nicht. 4) Ich hatte die ersten Tage nur zwei Handtücher (ein großes, ein kleines) und das Tuch zum darauf steigen wenn man aus der Dusche kommt. Ein Handtuch zum Hände abtrocknen, das große nach dem Duschen. Ich bin es gewöhnt noch ein kleines Handtuch zu haben (zum Haare abtrocknen). Überraschenderweise hatte ich dann nach ein paar Tagen ein zweites kleines Handtuch. Also hat das anfangs offenbar gefehlt und wäre schon vorgesehen gewesen. Das führt insgesamt halt zu einigen Abzügen bei dem Punkten.

Just come back from a city break in Budapest and spent 3 nights here. We booked it via Jet2 City Breaks. The hotel is in District 7. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you to the Szechenyl Thermal spa, You can pay on the bus 450 Hungarian forint. However You don't get change . The hotel can book the spa tickets for you; just enquire at reception as we did. So no queuing in the spa to get in. The hotel also offers an airport transfer service. We didn't use this but handy to know. You can also get the hop on hop off bus tickets at the hotel too. Breakfast was fine; European choices; sausages; scrambled eggs; boiled eggs; croissants; cereal; yoghurt. They also cater if you are gluten free so just ask. Staff were friendly & easy to speak to. Hotel room was clean; nice clean white towels & bedding. Air con in the rooms with large windows to open. Tv in the room & hairdryer in the bathroom (low power but does the job); shower gel in the shower too. Room could probably do with a freshener but we only slept here as out all day so didn't matter. A short walk to the metro which allows easy transport to different areas. A single ticket on the metro is 600 Hungarian forint or you can buy return tickets or day passes. Word of warning buy a ticket as tickets are checked regularly on the metro and a fine is 12,000 Hungarian forint which is roughly £25. Don't get caught out. You can get a day ticket for about £4 and have 24 hr unlimited use on the metro, bus & trams. So well worth it. No tea making facilities in the room but there is a bar downstairs. The nearest metro we used to go to is Keleti Palyaudaur.

The room is clean and spacious. The beds are good. The staff is kind. I would definitely recommend going to this hotel. Only thing is that it’s not one of the closest hotels to the city centre. There is a breakfast bar next to the hotel where you can get some great sandwiches. The WiFi is fast in the hotel. We also did not hear any noise
