This Queenstown trip involved three nights at different hotels due to tight availability: Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel, Ramada by Wyndham Queenstown Central, and Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa. Park Boutique left the deepest impression. Though not downtown, its location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a 5-minute walk to the town center. The service was exceptionally warm and attentive, with a nightly wine tasting salon. Breakfast featured a partial buffet with main courses ordered à la carte. However, each guest could only order their main course once. Ideally, a second order could be offered for an additional fee, allowing larger groups to sample more dishes. The best part was the practical facilities: a small kitchen, a bathroom with separate wet and dry zones, and a mattress that was perfectly firm and comfortable. Surprisingly, there was even a fireplace, adding warmth to slightly chilly evenings. In short, if you're heading to Queenstown for a relaxing getaway, Park Boutique is the ideal place to stay.

We were thrilled to be the very first guests to leave a review for this stunning new resort! The location is fantastic, just a quick 10-minute drive to town, and our room offered breathtaking views of the Shot River, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. We arrived around 10 PM, and the hotel reception was impeccably prepared, warmly welcoming us and even upgrading our room! It looked exactly like the photos, with a design and interior that perfectly captured the vibe we were seeking. They had welcome drinks waiting for us, and we appreciated that milk was available on request at any time. The breakfast was a delightful a la carte experience, featuring an array of delicious options. The serving staff was not only attentive and kind but also provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants! We also indulged in room service, which exceeded our expectations in both taste and punctuality. Although the fitness room and movie room were still under construction, the small maintenance issue we encountered in the bathroom was addressed swiftly by the staff. Our stay has left us eager to return and see the final results of this new gem. I highly recommend this resort to everyone!

Ich habe im neuen Gebäude übernachtet und das Zimmer war so süß, geräumig und einfach fantastisch! Alle Angestellten waren unglaublich freundlich und ich würde sehr gerne wieder dort übernachten (^^). Der abendliche Aufdeckservice war ebenfalls wunderbar. Außerdem gibt es morgens Brot und Getränke, mittags leichte Snacks wie Käse und Oliven und abends Wein – alles direkt neben der Rezeption, sodass die Gäste ihre Mahlzeiten ganz nach Belieben genießen können. ♩ Die Lage ist auch perfekt, da das Hotel ebenerdig liegt und weniger als 10 Gehminuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt ist (^^).

The room was very spacious and offered a nice view, which was a highlight of the stay. Free parking was also convenient for guests travelling by car. However, the property feels quite dated and could benefit from refurbishment. The cleanliness of the room was below expectations, with some areas not as well maintained as they should be. Another downside was the shower pressure, which was very weak and made showering less enjoyable. The hotel is within walking distance of Queenstown City Centre, but the walk is a bit longer than expected, especially when returning uphill.

Das Hotel war sehr freundlich und erleichtert es, um Queenstown zu erreichen und alles in der Nähe zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war bequem, aber die Hausaufbewahrung war während unseres Aufenthalts enttäuschend. Handtücher wurden nie geändert und das Toilettenpapier wurde nicht wieder gefüllt; es schien, als würde das einzige, was jeden Tag getan wird, das Bett gemacht. Ich habe auch um Hilfe und Beratung bei der Ankunft am Highlands Motorsport Museum gebeten, aber leider waren auch das Personal nicht sehr hilfreich. Das Hotel hat ein gutes Potenzial aufgrund seiner Lage und seiner Zimmer, aber Service und Aufmerksamkeit auf die Details sind definitiv Verbesserungen erforderlich.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this retreat. The place itself is absolutely spectacular — very calming, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by breathtaking views. The deck is stunning, and it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The owners were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and looked after throughout my stay. Their hospitality genuinely stood out. The dogs were lovely and added so much warmth to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, and the variety of teas available was out of this world. As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well cared for, which is something I value highly. The atmosphere is peaceful and nurturing — exactly what you want from a retreat. The only minor downside is that it’s a bit far from the shops (around a one-hour walk). However, this was easily managed as Uber is only a 6-minute drive, and the hosts were also kind enough to offer lifts when possible. Overall, an absolutely stunning place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay

View was more than spectacular..recommend booking a lake view room, was able to sleep with the window open and the view of the lake all day and night was breathtaking.. food in restaurant so/so, easy walk into town to find everything you need

Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, die Ausstattung komplett und funktionierte einwandfrei, und die Bettwäsche war bequem, sodass ich gut schlafen konnte. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet und bietet eine bequeme Anbindung an Verkehrsmittel sowie viele Essens- und Trinkmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung. Der Empfangsservice war herzlich und aufmerksam, Check-in und Check-out verliefen effizient. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut, die Erfahrung war sehr gut, und ich werde dieses Hotel beim nächsten Mal wieder bevorzugen!

The Mercure Queenstown feels quite dated, though that was expected. What disappointed me more was the overall maintenance and poor soundproofing—I could hear loud thumping from the room above. The bathroom has been renovated, but amenities were lacking (barely any soap or shampoo), the shower leaked making everything wet, and the door was stiff and noisy to close. Both the bathroom and the room were cold, as the air conditioning only managed to heat partially. Paid parking for hotel guests is simply absurd. On a positive note, breakfast was acceptable.  The View is although the big PLUS.

Der Ankunftsservice ist schlecht, es ist so schwer, Gepäck ohne Hilfe zu bewegen. Sie müssen durch eine Karte schwer zu verstehen und müssen Gepäck zu vielen Schritten und kein Zeichen zum Gebäude und Zimmer. Das Mädchen am Frontdesk mit einer schlechten Service-Einstellung. Sie ignoriert den Antrag meines Partners auf Hilfe mit Gepäck. Mein Partner ist im Korridor verloren und hat mich um Hilfe gebeten. Keiner soll ihre Hilfe sein. Es ist wirklich ein sehr schlechter Check-in-Service.
