My family & I usually stay in T*ntr*m (been our no 1. option in Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Tangerang for a while), but considering NY traffic, decided hotel next to mall as safer option, and I think Marriott Yogya will be our no 1. option in Yogyakarta now.
PRE-STAY
Staying experience actually starts the second we finished the hotel reservation, maybe its long before we even arrive at the hotel. Most dont really optimize this.
What I will highlight is Marriott really put my requests (birthday decor in specific room, connecting rooms) into the system, where everyone can check. From the one handling the WhatsApp to the receptionist the day we arrive, Ilham. And they execute my request really well.
I've experienced some that forget my request and ended up decorating the wrong room, or not facilitating the request, even though they said they will facilitate.
*see pic 8 - 11. It doesnt have to be expensive, businesses have to calculate the cost and margin. Whats important, for me, is put some effort into it. Its part of making the stay memorable.
STAY
I love it when :
- the moment we arrive, the staff helps us by opening the car door, w/ the smile and greeting. Not from just one person, but every staff did the smile and greeting.
- Ilham texted that the other room is ready. Most just rely on guest will be the one to follow up, but not Marriott.
- we asked the way to mall entrance, the staff took us to the entrance, not just directing w/ hands.
- they put anti-slip mat in shower area (pic 6), such a functional addition for safety. Because aesthetic needs to meet w/ function.
- we went out at 8.30 in the morning for culinary & coffee around Yogyakarta and put the cleaning sign on, but forget to call, just to communicate that we want the room cleaned while we're out. 2,5 hours later when we're back, those 2 rooms are neat & tidy.
Some hotels dont notice the difference those make for guest(s).
These, for me, really help building the memorable staying exp.

GGastnutzerIncredible stay! We booked a night here after a disaster at a neighbouring hotel and our stay was one of the best in Indonesia. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with astonishing hospitality from all the staff members but especially Reza who went above and beyond to ensure that we were welcome and comfortable in the hotel. The facilities are top quality, the room was very clean and extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. The gardens and hotel grounds are extremely well maintained, beautiful, and have lots of space for relaxation or, if you have kids, spaces to keep kids entertained. The hotel has ample options for food/drink and also entertainment and also offers tours of the local area. It was also my girlfriend's birthday and the staff again put in genuine effort to make it a really special day for her, we are extremely grateful for their efforts - 5 star service.
I can strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an escape from the city and to be near mount merapi or who wants a bit of relaxation.

AAnonymer BenutzerDas Zimmer ist gut. Es ist nicht so groß, aber sie stellen das Layout wirklich gut, so dass es immer noch geräumig fühlt. Kein Schrank, nur ein begrenzter offener Raum, um Ihre Kleidung zu hängen.
Ich habe hier 2 Nächte geblieben, und leider habe ich während dieses Aufenthalts viele Probleme:
1. Nach dem Einchecken ging ich sofort in mein Zimmer und zeigte sich, dass es ein super bewölktes Zimmer ist (ein anderer Gast hat gerade ausgecheckt und sie haben es noch nicht gereinigt). So musste ich zurück in die Lobby gehen und um ein anderes Zimmer bitten.
2. In meinem neuen Zimmer wurde die AC leckt und sie ständig zerfallen, solange die AC auf war. Ich musste eine Kehle, einen Container oder was es auch ist. Er sagte dem Personal, er würde folgen. Nichts taten sie bis zum Tag, an dem ich auscheckte.
3. Am zweiten Tag konnte ich die Zimmertür nicht einmal mit meiner eigenen Zimmerkarte öffnen. Sie haben die Karte nur für eine Nacht gesetzt, so musste ich wieder in die Lobby gehen. Sie haben einfach wieder aufgestellt, ohne zu erklären, warum es passiert ist.
Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und freundlich. Nur all diese Probleme haben mich den Eindruck erweckt, dass dieses Hotel nicht professionell genug ist.
Frühstück war gut. Nicht viele Optionen verfügbar, aber gut genug, um Ihren Tummy zu füllen. Lage ist großartig. Zimmer ist sauber. Begrenzte Parkplatz, aber sie hatten Valley Service.

PPutriLindaEhrlich gesagt, ich liebe dieses Hotel. Ich reise immer in der niedrigen Saison, weil ich immer nach Frieden und ruhigen Tagen suche während meiner Mittagsgetaway.
Ich habe Amaranta gewählt, weil es in Jogja kein Hotel mehr gibt, das ich dachte, würde das dienen, was ich brauchte.
Und ich habe die richtige Wahl gemacht!!
Das Zimmer war geräumig mit offenem Bad (kann schließen, wenn Sie wollen). Das Bett und die Betten waren schräg sauber mit frischem weichen entspannenden sauberen Scents. Das Bett und die Kissen waren alle komfortable und sauber.
Der Balkon war geräumig und bietet Prambanan Tempel und Merapi Bergblick.
Der Dachtop war schön, aber ziemlich windig.
Der Pool ist wunderschön bei Nacht, nicht bei Tageszeit.
Die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich und hilfreich zu meinen Nachtanfragen.
Ich werde sicherlich zurück nach Amaranta kommen, wenn ich in Zukunft meine Friedensgestaltung benötigen werde.

Location-wise, ARTOTEL is convenient for exploring Yogyakarta, with easy access to cafes, local eateries, and key attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the pleasant experience.

RRezaTrinHotel yang bagus. Dlu hotel ini namanya primepark deh. Utk bangunan ckup tua, tp masih dipelihara dgn baik. Parkiran luas, ada lapangan tenis dan pool yg luas jg. Utk kamar jg bagus dan luas serta terawat. Karpet. Hanya saja aga sedikit remang. Untuk sarapan banyak variasinya.
Utk staff very helpfull dan ramah2. Bner2 nyaman.
Ada peminjaman sepeda juga.

The bellboy manning the drop off is not that good cos seeing me struggling with my luggage in the rain, he did not even offer to help despite having an umbrella. Did not even help us to open the door. Me and my partner struggle to bring our luggage up the slope, in the rain and drenched. Im not sure why, but for the 4 days 3 night im there, the doorbell didnt even offer to help or assist..
For a top 10 hotel in jogja, the bell boy can do better with service wise.
But the Front desk and concierge is very friendly..

The rest are not up to expectations.
1. Location is far from town and airport.
2. Amenities are very old. A lot of things are spoiled and yet not replaced or repaired.
3. Because everything is old and dated, they look dirty too. Bedsheets are full of stains!
4. Water pressure of shower is very low. Take a long time to bathe.
I booked here just because the event I was going to was hosted in this hotel. Glad that I didn’t extend my stay after the event. I am sorry but I won’t recommend this hotel.

NNenengFür die Lage ist sehr nahe der Lava-Reise touristische Attraktion. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich sauber, aber es gibt einige Einrichtungen, die etwas fehlen, wie das Toilette nicht aktualisiert wurde und es gibt viele Teile des Gebäudes, die möglicherweise repariert werden müssen.
