Hotels in Diniwid, Boracay

We stayed here with my family and my brother's family from March 29, 2003 to April 2, 2003. To tell you quite frankly - as the tile of this review goes - our stay was really a pleasant surprise as after booking, I read up on reviews which were really not that good which made me think if we had made the right decision in booking accommodations from this hotel. Our experience was quite the opposite: the road to the hotel from the jetty port (which according to a review I read was muddy) but no longer was when we went there. The hotel itself, when we arrived, as far as I am concerned looked great and was well maintained. The front desk staff were quite accommodating and cheerful and ably assisted us in our checking in to our rooms. We booked 3 rooms and checking in was a breeze. The hotel staff service was excellent. The rooms that we checked in to were great but it would have been better if it had a view but this is just my preference and does not in any way diminish our experience. The restaurant in the hotel was oftentimes good but can leave you wanting for more. This is a beach front hotel but there was a only a short stretch of sand when we stayed there. We were a bit let down I suppose but this was cleared when one of the locals clarified that it was high tide season during this time was being washed away to sea. To see a wide stretch of sand, the best time to here would be around September, but if the lack of a decent beachfront is no issue to you then anytime except the rainy season would be a good time to visit and you can easily reach Station 1 via a 5-10 minute walk. Since this hotel is on the western side of of the island, I can guarantee that you would experience sunsets like no other. If you prefer the peace and quiet of a homey ambience, nestled in a small nook at the far end of the western side of the island, then this hotel is perfect for you - alone or with your family and friends.

Wir kamen nach einem ganzen Abscheu von Romblon Romblon nach Boracay (Bangka Boot nach Tablas, Van fahren nach Odiongan, Nachtfähre nach Caticlan und schließlich kurze Boot fahren nach Boracay). Wir nahmen einen E-Trick in die Diniview-Zone von thr Insel, die uns 300php kosten und nahmen uns eine gute 15 Minuten, um dort zu kommen. Da wir um 10 Uhr kamen und check in ist um 2 Uhr unsere Villa war natürlich noch nicht bereit. Sie waren so nett, den Prozess zu beschleunigen und uns zu Check-in am Mittag, während wir zu langem überfälligen Frühstück im D'Mall Bereich am Station 2 gingen. Wie wir die schwedische Dame, die das Resort besitzt, ist auch Eigentümer des Limonei Cafés. Und es zeigt, die Einstellungen sind perfekt und das Essen ist so raffiniert. Wir vermieten die Mond Villa, die riesig und einfach ausgestattet ist alle 5 von uns. Wir erhielten auch ein erfreuliches Frühstück für den ersten Tag (Saft, Schalen, Butter, Obst, Perle, Kaffee). Die Villa verfügt über alle Einrichtungen, die Sie für Ihren eigenen Kochen benötigen. Wir gingen gerade für unsere Mahlzeiten aus, da die Optionen wirklich riesig sind auf Boracay. Der Trick ist 250 php pro Weg nach D'mall Bereich oder Sie können nur auf dem Strand gehen, die Sie etwa 45 Minuten pro Weg dauern. Die Villa hat einen schönen Porsche mit Blick auf die Diniview Bereich, zwei Sonnenbetten und ein Hammer. Es hat zwei Badezimmer eins auf jeder Etage, da die beiden Schlafzimmer sind unten. Das Resort hat auch einen Pool, wo unsere Kinder viel Spaß hatten, während wir unsere kalte Bier mit Blick auf die Bucht hatten. Die Lage ist wirklich großartig, da sie von allen Lärm und Husten der Station 2 oder 3 Bereich entfernt ist, so dass Sie sich nach Tagreisen leicht entspannen können. Dieser Ort ist so erstaunlich und einfach zu bewerten, so dass wir es 5 Sterne Hände abgeben.

Pros: Lots of positives about the accommodation. We booked to be collected and that went smoothly. The apartment was spacious and I absolutely loved the view from the balcony, we could certainly see the sea. The air conditioning was the quietest we had in all our holiday in the Philippines and effective and the bed comfortable. We really liked the location, it felt out of the way but easy to get to the centre of Boracay . It is up a hill from DIniwid beach and easy to walk to either Diniwid beach (5/6 minutes) or the shopping centre ( 10 minutes) ( between 09.00 and 18:00p.m. they provide a shuttle on demand) . I was so glad we were there and not in the centre of Boracay as it was very busy whereas it was really quiet at night for us. The staff/owners were lovely and friendly and we ended up booking a couple of trips through them as they seemed competitive. Cons. A couple of tweeks in the accommodation, a new bathroom blind would make it look a bit better, the toilet system wasn't the most effective. However it was the breakfast that I couldn't understand . Our breakfast was included and it seemed strange that someone could have a Filipino breakfast which was more money than the pancake or omelette one but if you wanted some fruit with the pancake it was extra. Coming from the Uk where the tropical fruit is imported I love to go to the far east where it is plentiful and cheap so I couldn't understand the logic. The cons wouldn't be enough to deter me from staying again if I came to Boracay just I feel I couldn't rate it a 5 though the location I felt was so lovely and I would have liked to.

Upon entering our room, it had a funky smell due to it being not cleaned or maintained for a long time. You can clearly see the dirt around the corners and feel the dust on the floor. The toilet was dirty with the bidet broken. There were no basic toiletries. We have to ask a towel which they have only one available (we followed up the second towel a day after). All of these give us the impression of indifference and unpreparedness towards the necessities of their guests. More worryingly, we suspect that the bed is filled with bed fleas/bugs since my partner had increasingly suffered bites as the days go by (we stayed for 3 nights). It is such a shame considering the positive reviews we have read online before and at the beginning of the pandemic. Unfortunately, it seems Chillax has been ”abandoned” and lost its credibility as one of the best hostels in Boracay.

If you want a peaceful environment away from the busy White Beach, this is the perfect place to stay. Station 1 is within walking distance though, maybe 15-20 minute walk. The room I booked always gives a perfect view of the sunset. The owner, Mel, is very welcoming and approachable. Other staff Dave and Jazell are also very friendly and helpful. They also gave me the option to have my breakfast brought to my room every morning. Very convenient! The AC works perfectly well, the hot shower, and they have bidet and hair dryer. Not to mention the fully equipped kitchen and dining area (they have a stove and cooking utensils, and a big fridge). The resident dogs Gia and Winston are adorable. Maybe the only disadvantages I can think of are the flooding in the area going to the hotel (whenever it rains quite heavily even for a short time) and the rampant chicken farm/poultry owners everywhere in the area (the noise can be bothersome in the morning when you are having a good sleep). But nevertheless, this is a great hotel and worth every penny you’ll pay.

Übermäßige Nutzung, keine Übernachtung, ziemlich sauber, Industriestil, Tatami-Feeling, ist ein Doppelbett und ein Einzelbett, der Preis ist besser, aber die Umgebung wird gebaut oder im Bau, das sind die Philippinen Es gibt ein Hotel in die Ruinen, die sehr magisch sind. Das Geräusch einer elektrischen Bohrmaschine am Nachmittag ist etwas nervig. ? Auch der Schallschutz ist besorgniserregend ... Übertrieben, nicht für Dauerwohnen zu empfehlen

Beeindruckend! Was für ein Platz. Wir hatten die unglaublichste Zeit hier über fast zwei Wochen. Das Personal war unglaublich hilfsbereit. Der Manager Ricky war ein Top-Junge und hat immer versucht, Ihre Erfahrung ein bisschen besser zu machen. Die Mädchen an der Rezeption neben all denen in der Küche haben wirklich geholfen. Shoutout an den Sicherheitsmann, dass er auch willkommen ist. Tolle Einrichtungen, aber es wäre besser, wenn die Informationen besser wären, aber ich denke, es ist eine winzige Insel, sodass Sie nur mit dem arbeiten müssen, was Sie haben. Viele besondere Nächte waren draußen, wie das chinesische Neujahrsfest und die Feierlichkeiten zum Australia Day. Es ist direkt neben Mad Monkey, wenn Sie ein paar Bier zum Chillen trinken möchten, dann gehen Sie etwas später dorthin, was ich empfehlen würde, anstatt früh zu MM zu gehen und vor Sonnenuntergang in Ihrem Bett zu liegen. Ich habe dort die verrücktesten und fürsorglichsten Leute getroffen und es war eine wirklich freundliche Umgebung. Kann es nur empfehlen und was die Kosten angeht, war es sehr vernünftig. Ich würde gerne sehen, dass sie ein Kreditsystem an der Bar einführen, damit Sie den Überblick über Ihre Ausgaben behalten können, es aber auch einfacher macht, als einen Zoll kleiner Münzen in der Tasche zu haben. Schöner Ort mit tollen Leuten. Würde zu 100% wiederkommen.

Хостел очень крутой, большущая кровать, движ какой-то периодически, отличная музыка (отдельное спасибо за выбор репертуара), не понравилось дорогое кафе и отсутствие всякого вида кухни для постояльцев, все-таки для снимаюших хостел слишком накладно так тратиться, плюс ещё сервисные проценты берут. Очень огорчило, что перестали менять полотенца, как было заявлено каждые 3 дня, и вообще регулярная путаница с полотенцами, человек уезжает, забирают твоё полотенце, а его полотенце оставляют. Но! в этом хостеле в принципе есть полотенца бесплатные, уже хорошо) если холодно от кондея, можно попросить одеяло, они у них есть;)
