Hotel Mousai - Adults Only

So klassisch. Bravo!! Die Segovias
Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive & Spa

Smooth check in process!
Secrets Vallarta Bay

Enjoyable all-inclusive resort experience right on the beach. Several pools to choose from with a variety of bars and restaurants throughout Secrets as well as on the Dreams side of the resort. Lots of different types of cuisine for different palettes and dietary needs. None of the food was bad but nothing I had really blew me away either. It was nice not having to make reservations at any of the dining places and the longest we had to wait for a table for 2 was maybe 10 minutes at the fancy Italian place. Marketing staff near the front lobby are pretty pushy about adding on spa/dinner/wine packages and make you sit through a spiel at check-in to try to get you to spend more. Concierge was very helpful with questions about logistics around town and the bellhop/valet staff were all friendly and attentive. Bringing a rental car in and out of the hotel was really easy.
The Hacienda at Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta- All Inclusive

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is older and needs some love. It was pretty clean; our room was fine, but the same beer can zip top was on the floor in the hallway for the entire 13 day stay. Towels are an issue. Although we tipped Housekeeping daily, we had to call the front desk for bath towels, hand towels, facecloths, and bath mats nearly every day. One day, we called down for towels and someone brought us a coffee machine instead. The lounge chair parade at the pool and on the beach is a joke. People would come down at 5:30 AM to claim chairs and tables by putting towels on them, and then leaving….sometimes never to return that day. The staff generally ignored these, and when we complained about one particular group daily claiming 7 or 8 loungers, we were told that ‘those chairs were reserved’. No process in place for anyone to reserve these, but I suppose cash tips helped…. The food at the buffet was generally good. There was lots of variety, and lots of staff to keep an eye on things. The Italian a la carte restaurant was good, great food and attentive staff. The French restaurant, however, was 1/10. Our orders were dropped off; the steak and gravy were ice cold, and were served with instant mashed potatoes! Our server never once came back to check on us or our drinks / food. When the gentleman came by to pick up our dishes, he asked how everything was. When we said that it hadn’t been very good, he thought we were kidding. I explained to him that we were not. Oh…and avoid the Welcome Breakfast at all costs. ‘We are not a time share’…….Lily was very nice, and explained that all they wanted was a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer as she presented the ‘membership’ program. The presentation involved triangles and chicken scratches on a piece of scrap paper. I’m a numbers guy, and to me, the presentation was intentionally made confusing. A laptop with a simple spread sheet would have made so much more sense. When we listened and said ‘No!’, it was escalated twice to other people who tried to increase the pressure on us. Eventually, we ended up speaking to an older lady who was supposedly checking to see if Lily had done a good job. That wasn’t what it was about at all. She ended up being very rude to us, and asked us, ‘Why did you bother coming to this presentation?’…..uh…..we thought it was a welcome breakfast to familiarize us with the resort. The entertainment was great. Johnny and Corky work hard for very long days to put it all together. The Michael Jackson show was outstanding. The staff was all so cheerful and always smiling. Will we come back? Yes, I think so.

We had the best time and the best stay. The bed was so comfortable and we had a hot tub on our balcony! The food and drinks were fantastic and the beach was so relaxing. Miguel at the bar was great and Lucy helped us with everything we needed. I highly recommend!
Casa Velas Adults Only All Inclusive

My husband and I spent 9/13 nights of our honeymoon as Casa Velas. We chose this hotel because of its great reviews, and it was one of only a few adults only ‘highly rated’ hotels. We had a wonderful time, which, in most didn’t disappoint. Pros The location of this hotel is near the marina, you can walk there within 5 to 10 minutes. The area is very safe, it feels very secure and everyone in and around the hotel was very very very friendly. The staff are by far this hotels biggest and best asset. So friendly, accommodating (within what they can do). Ramon and Ulrise worked non stop all day. The rooms are beautiful and are set within ground surrounded by lush trees, flowers and many iguana’s The cocktails were amazing and are exceptional value under the all inclusive, they would make almost anything, even if this wasn’t on the main menu The pool, reception, entrance, gardens and restaurants are immaculate and are constantly being cleaned and tidied. Also some friendly coy carp and turtles (which you can feed) Room for improvement The menu options are limiting, especially if you are staying longer than 4 days. Whilst the food was delicious, we have had some even more amazing food outside of the resort, a more diverse menu would be great for those staying a little longer. Before you travel be sure to check whether there are any events or weddings on during your stay, this was the largest downside by far. When guests arrived for the wedding/event that lasted about five days, our experience was negatively impacted by having to have buffet options for food… the calm, peaceful ambience was also affected. It very much felt like as soon as the wedding parties arrived, other guests were left to experience someone else’s holiday/vacation. Tipping Maybe it is because we are Europeans, and expected tipping isn’t something that we are used to… but considering this is a high end hotel that included tips, it felt strange to then we having to sign for drinks and food and tipping. Not saying that the staff do not deserve to be rewarded for their hard work, this isn’t in question at all, but it did feel a bit off. Whilst we would 100% recommend this hotel to any friends or family staying. We would make the recommendation of a shorter stay as the menu got very repetitive and there’s so many amazing things to see in at around Puerto Vallarta. Value for money 8/10
