DONT believe all you read, as it's not written inn Stone. The first time staying at the hotel, after reading reviews, was a bit sceptical, say the least. But with Gym,Sauna&pool all onsite & brekkie included. I was sold & booked it. It's a huge hotel with vast corridors & stairs. Our room was clean &tidy, everything set out as should be. Staff are very friendly & willing to help with whatever they can. Last perk OUT OF CITY CENTRE & mins from the ocean. Will stay again.

Excellent breakfast and food great staff very reasonable prices

no bath towels in our room and the hygiene of the room and bathroom was critical...so dirty hotel... The whole hotel, from the lobby to the room, there was rubbish everywhere...disappeared...in the corridors shouting, running and no one cares what time is it!..... The bed was so strange and not comfortable I will say that our ribs and back hurt from the springs of the mattress...I will definitely not go back again!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised that the room was clean after reading some reviews. Overall, the hotel is clean in some areas in need of some tlc and updating.

Only booked for pool Pool not working no roof Waited two hours to check in room was absolutely terrible cold and very very dirty from coffee stains dirty glasses beds lights never worked doors didn’t close very loud an full of drunken people police attempted on stay to take quests away

This hotel is the most vile, unclean and has the rudest staffs. Avoid at all cost. The room are dirty and it smells. Check in was at 3pm but instead we had to wait 2hrs to receive our key,. Don't waste your time or money coming to this hotel. Absolutely dreadful.

Good value for money, average hotel , great breakfast and dinner ,clean and tidy lovely staff.

A hidden gem of a hotel, great swimming pool and tram stop at its door. This also a important historic hotel, it needs restoration work, but that only going to happen when people recognize it importance. The hotel built like theatre scenery, emulating a castle.

The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you, but the hotel was filthy, and stunk of damp. Each area had a different kind of smell. The first room I was given, was meant to be upgraded, as I was at a large weekend event. The wet room I was given, had years of grime on the tiles. The carpet was filthy. I had paid for a double and had got a twin. I said I wouldn’t stay in that one. The next one was better, but had paint peeling off the wall. The bathroom, you had to shuffle to the side of the toilet, to use the sink and shower. I had to make do. I was accosted by a man demanding I pay for him on my card, and he was going to give me cash, because he had no ID. None of the security came to help. They eventually did remove him. There was an incident which I have decided not to report to the police, of a man with strange behaviour towards me. The food was often cold but no-one was taking theirs back, so I didn’t. The ceiling collapsed by the bar, and it was lucky, in a busy hotel that no-one was underneath it. The rooms were cold, and although I got a heater, many didn’t. The rumour was that the head office turned it off as it was warm, but it wasn’t warm, it was cold. I stayed one day with trip.com, the next 4 days/3 nights was with the people running the weekend.
