The Waldorf - Near Pleasure Beach & Sandcastle

We spent a Friday to Monday at the Waldorf and were really happy woth our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is what I would consider central to the attractions of blackpool, next to pleasure beach and just a 5 minute tram ride to the center of everything (the tower, madame tausauds and town.) The owner was very friendly and was always there to greet us on us returning to the hotel in the evenings or night. Wpuld definitely stay again.

Worst hotel I ever stayed in disgusting from door entrance mosty smell in reception broken window . Sweety door out side room kept awake rattling radiortioirs rock hard beds bang if doors constantly. Rotten roof out of windows. Doctor for 1970s .no fridge........owner was ok an helpfull but place was a dump

To our surprise we were greeted by the owner (Steve) upon arrival, We were slightly skeptical when we arrived but after chatting with Steve he honesty made us feel at home literally. He gave us all the information we needed to try save a bit of money, the rooms were ideal comfy. Steve was highly professional and always greeted us upon our arrival. Honestly , I cannot recommend this place enough we will definitely be back, Thank you Steve for a great few days stay again, we can’t wait to come back ! James & Kirsty

No rooms available at our usual place for out yearly weekend illumination visit so stayed here this year which is a stones throw from where we usually stop. Nice and quiet at the south end of promenade past the pleasure beach and close to a tram stop. Hotel looks dated but it was warm, clean and dry which is what you want and a sea view a bonus! Manager was friendly and welcoming. Will be back.

Just stayed 3 days in the Waldorf, lovely hotel we were in room 101 which is a side room with a bay window so we had a great sea view as well, The bathroom was a good size and even had a bidet, nice and clean as well. Steve the owner couldn't have been nicer and nothing seemed too much trouble for him next time we stay in Blackpool we will definately go back to the waldorf

Just okay,, i can tell they are trying to do the best with what they have, clean beds, good quality bedding and towels, shower room was very dated and grubby, shower was very poor. Room small and dusty around lights and ledges, i always take wipes so i gave it all a wipe down,, smart tv was modern. Check in easy, friendly and helpful staff member on reception. In dire need of an upgrade but i understand its a work in progress, that has been delayed due to covid. Hotel is in a Good location for pleasure beach and south pier, no breakfast option but plenty of places to eat. Would be good to see this accommodation when refurbishment is done as it has plenty of potential

we had recently stayed at this hotel and for the amount we where charged we felt we had overpaid quite a bit.The bed was uncomfortable , The room was small with mould on the carpet , the walls where stained yellow , our mirror light in the toilet was not working , the shower pressure was poor and couldn’t get a nice temperature to shower without it being freezing or burning ourself. The sink was dirty and the light was also mouldy too. We had no clean towels even though we had stayed a few days and it said on the description we would get room cleaning. The location is great as it’s right next to the pleasure Beach And next to the tram station. The guy who owened the hotel was very helpful and very welcoming telling us any events that had been on but the rooms are over priced. Would recommend booking if you had intentions to just sleep in the room and not spend any time in it. Also no breakfast available either and have to park a few streets away otherwise you have to pay 12 pound per night.

Where do I start? Me and my two children and my daughters friend arrived at 11.45 Friday morning the cleaners was very friendly, we couldn’t check in until after 3pm so we left our luggage in the lobby. We went back and checked in around 4pm. The man at first was really nice. Checked into our hotel room and it was two single beds. My friend and her son was supposed to be coming with us at first but we booked it on my *********** and looked like I deleted the wrong room. When I went and had a drink in the bar downstairs I said to the man when he served me, It’s looks like I booked ( cancelled ) the wrong room but we will make do with it for tonight. He said that’s fine I will put you in a family room tomorrow night. I thought fab I said to my daughter and her friend did you both hear that? And they was both happy to do that. So after that we went out onto the pier got some food went back to the hotel to be told we had to leave this is at 10.30 pm at night. I have a 4 year old and two 11 year olds with me. The man was very rude he even said he was going to call the police on me my 4 year old daughter was that scared she had an accident. My daughter and her friend was crying there eyes out. Then for the man to say to me in front of someone else that he didn’t say those things to me at the bar is just disgusting I felt so frustrated that it was my word against he’s. Luckily my daughter and her friend was there to witness it all. He was also very aggressive towards me the other man had to take him away from me and take him back downstairs. I didn’t no what to do knowing I was on my own with three children. I looked on *********** and seen another hotel the only hotel was was left on the site I had to take it and pay it. I asked for my money back at the Waldorf and he wouldn’t give it me back knowing we didn’t even stay one night. I even called the hotel up yesterday just to apologise when really I had nothing to apologise for. But that’s the type of person I am I suppose. He didn’t even apologise back to me or even ask if the kids was okay or even to see if I found us a hotel. Hotel in its self is very old fashioned. Not very clean. Cracked windows Smells like ****. Dirty windows Stains on carpet Stains on bedsheets Dirty shower Dirty hallways

My wife and I are both disabled so our main search is for places that have a shower and the Waldorf fitted the bill. I can't fault the place as we were looking for a couple of nights stay and what we got did the trick. It was nothing fancy, the bed was great because we slept in for breakfast twice, it's a stones throw from the tram stop, and of course the shower. People have different expectations, for me if the place is clean, the bed is comfortable and the price is right then you have won a watch.
