We were put in a room at the corner of the property, and as we walked up we could see piles of what appeared to be construction material in the parking lot and upper hallways. Oh well, as long as they're not working while I'm trying to sleep! Midnight: I hear Drilling by the wall. Drilling! 12:15: I hear men yelling back and forth, and I can only assume they were workers. 12:30: boombox, from the same direction. After that, we didn't hear anything, which is good. My husband warned me about the sink faucet: they seem to have Hot and Cold reversed. OK, I'll try to remember! Of course I kept forgetting. I went to take a shower, and fortunately thought to check first, and sure enough the Hot and Cold are reversed. My gosh, someone could get hurt!! A child could get burned. We mentioned this at checkout, and were told that no one else had complained. I offered to bring the desk clerk to our room to show her, but she said she wasn't able to leave. It wasn't until we were driving home that it dawned on me: the H and C were for the spanish words for Hot and Cold! I get that, but there has to be standards and consistency or someone will get burned! The good news is that the hotel's room prices are low. That's a plus, since we only stayed about 7 hours. The clerk was nice, and the lobby clean.
