Strandhotels in Département Charente-Maritime

We recently spent 4 nights at the Premier Inn Le Masq hotel in La Rochelle, the hotel was spotless and the staff were extremely courteous and friendly. The breakfast was varied and of excellent quality and quantity with great juice selection. We stayed in a Queen Room (21m2) which had a tv with some English channels, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The only negatives were that the air-conditioning was centrally controlled and there was no walk in shower which I found unusual for a 4* hotel. Overall I would highly recommend both the hotel and La Rochelle itself and we will certainly make a return visit.

Tout était parfait, ce que je déplore, c'est le manque de serveurs qui devraient passer à la piscine pour prendre des commandes de boissons sous la forte chaleur. C'est désagréable pour les clients, de plus, l'enseigne perd énormément d'argent.

Dieses Hotel befindet sich in einer fantastischen Lage, inmitten vieler Geschäfte und Restaurants. Internationale Markeneinkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in einem Spaziergang. Die Ansichten vom Fenster sind hervorragend. Das Bett ist komfortabel. Das Personal des Front Desk war sehr hilfreich bei der Empfehlung von Orten zum Essen und anderen Orten. Meine einzige Beschwerde ist, dass ich mehrere Haare im Dusch gefunden habe, wenn ich das Zimmer inspizierte. Diese Frage sollte mit Hauspflege behandelt werden.

Hotel super bien placé, nous avons eu droit à être surclassé avec chambre vue sur le port de la Rochelle. Le personnel au TOP!!!! Ils nous ont gardé nos bagages à notre arrivée un peu plus tôt, mais aussi ils nous ont mis au frais nos aliments que l'on avait acheté au marché. La fête de la musique 🎶 🎶 était magique et nous pouvons en profiter de notre balcon. C'est sûr que l'on va le recommander auprès de nos amis..

I really like this hotel, the location is perfect for the old town, with shops, bars, cafes etc within a few metres walk. The main transport square is only maybe 50m away, with lots of buses and bikes. It’s such a cool vibe inside the hotel, like 70’s style. Very friendly staff, very good value. The breakfast is ok, like a continental selection, nothing hot (apart from boiled eggs) but it’s fine. I’m on the second floor and here is a slight fan type noise all the time, it’s quieter as you go down each floor, but I’ve slept well. The veranda is a little grubby, as is the central outdoor area, but everything else is immaculate. Don’t expect that perfect modern hotel look, the bathroom for example looks “dated” but that’s the point - it’s really clean and looks so cool and homely, not like all the usual modern hotels that have no character. Good selection of books downstairs. I really like the place, originally booked 3 nights but extended that to just over a week which says something. Only marked 3 for Services as there’s not much else other than rooms, a chill out area and the breakfast room, so don’t expect spas/pools etc

Good location in St Nicholas area. Very friendly staff. Breakfast 14€ for mini croissant, cake, yogurt, cereal and drink.  Our room was compact with a dodgy shower which kept falling off the shower stem. Otherwise all OK. Tea and coffee facilities in the room

Sehr ruhige Lage in der Nähe des Stadtzentrums, Autovermietung und Bahnhof. Das Zimmer schien sauber, aber da Sie für die Waschung der Gerichte (Maschinen) verantwortlich sind, wissen Sie nie, was der vorherige Gast getan hat. Rezeption ist nicht offen 24/24: es schließt auch zum Mittagessen, so beachten Sie Ihre Ankunftszeit.

Excellently located right at the Marina district and views of the very large Ferris Wheel. 5 mins walk to the central cafe precinct and boutique shopping strips. Pathways are very well lit. The area and wider Le Rochelle is a very safe place. The Motel is close to the Buzz of it all.

The lady on reception during check in was very sweet, very pleasant exchange.  The room was incredibly hot and stuffy, unfortunately no AC. Breakfast was superb. Hotel is old and tired but fully functional.  Also the washing service did not work (hence 2/5 for facilities) - it charged me via the app - a very expensive €6.50 and then it claimed to be out if service!

Il n'y a personne à la réception, impossible de sortir notre clé de la machine, la personne avant nous également, nous appelons le numéro affiché la personne répond après plusieurs appels. Pour le petit déjeuner, nous entrons dans l'accueil ou on nous demande de sortir car celui ci est prit dans un autre établissement. Le petit déjeuner est très sympa. Le personnel de salle aussi. La chambre est très bien mais la porte a du mal a fermer. L'hôtel est très bien pour le tarif, dommage que le personnel ne soit pas présent et à l'écoute.
