Santa Catalina Hotel is undeniably a historic architectural landmark, but as a hotel experience it fell well below expectations. On arrival, the service felt cold and somewhat pretentious rather than welcoming, with concierge staff coming across as detached and pompous rather than genuinely hospitable. A key reason for choosing the hotel was the prominently advertised rooftop pool and views, only to discover after check-in that access is restricted to suite guests. The spa is similarly limited unless you pay €15 per person for 90 minutes, which feels disproportionate given the modest facilities. These restrictions are not clearly communicated at booking and leave a sense of being misled. Several of the lounge and communal areas were also frequently reserved for corporate events and seminars, which further diminished the sense of a relaxed hotel environment. As a guest, it often felt as though you were secondary to business groups and functions moving through the space, even in more personal hotel moments such as walking through common areas in a robe. In-room entertainment is very dated, with a non–smart TV offering only basic local and satellite channels. Room service carries a €5 delivery surcharge, while on-site dining is largely limited to high-end fine dining with little casual alternative. It is also worth noting that Las Palmas sits under a noticeably less favourable microclimate than the south and west of Gran Canaria. During our stay, conditions were consistently cloudy, windy, and cool, which further limited the enjoyment of the hotel’s already restricted amenities. For those seeking reliable sun and beach weather, the southern or western parts of the island are a better choice. Overall, despite its striking heritage setting, the combination of underwhelming service, restricted access to advertised facilities, dated in-room amenities, corporate use of guest spaces, and disappointing weather made for a stay that did not feel justified by the price and is not somewhere we would return to. The atmosphere and clientele also skew noticeably toward an older demographic.

Unas instalaciones muy buenas. Ubicacion magnifica pegadisima a playa canteras y sin duda lo mejor, la atencion del personal del hotel. Desde la recepcion, el personal de mantenimiento que nos monto la cuna sobre la marcha o el personal de limpieza. Todo genial. Sin duda regresaremos en cuanto podamos

El hotel está bien ubicado y su personal es amable. Sin embargo, el desayuno se sirve en otro NH que se encuentra a 200 metros. En ningún momento se me avisó de esta circunstancia antes de la reserva. Las instalaciones están muy viejas, un hecho que se nota especialmente en el baño. La habitación no tenía luz natural y contaba con dos camas individuales realmente pequeñas.

L’hôtel est super bien placé : au nord de l’île avec une vue sur la mer. Petits bémols : il n’y a pas de parking sur place donc s’il vous arrive de louer un véhicule, ce sera difficile de trouver un endroit pour se garer. Le petit déjeuner était impeccable ! Rien à dire !

Gute Lage, kostengünstig, Balkon kann direkt auf das Meer sehen, die Zimmer sind relativ groß, die Zimmer sind auch sehr gut und sie sind dreimal billiger als das Bed & Breakfast, das wir nebenan haben. Ich bin ziemlich zufrieden. Ich bedauere, in Mingshui geblieben zu sein. Nachdem ich 20 Tage hier verbracht habe, war ich erst letzte Nacht hier. Wenn es eine Chance gibt, hierher zu kommen, werde ich diesen Ort wählen.

Alles war perfekt ich empfehle wirklich, Personal ist professionell, das Hotel sauber das Zimmer grande es verdient mehr als 3 Sterne, es ist nur wenige Schritte von allem im Zentrum der Stadt, die freundlichkeit des Personals ❤️❤️

Good value for money, but be aware that it's a very basic apartment hotel with small kitchen and thin walls, windows and doors. Neighbors can also be heard through the echoing courtyards. Room was not ready on time.

Das Hotel ist erstaunlich 😍, 1 Gehminut vom Strand ⛱️, das Personal wird jeden Tag reinigen. Alles in einer kleinen Spazierweiterung. Wird sicherlich wieder buchen.

La ubicación es muy buena, pero las instalaciones del establecimiento están muy deterioradas y desfasadas. Las fotografías no reflejan la realidad, la ropa de cama es distinta y parece tener varias décadas, quizá desde los años 80... la puerta de la ducha da miedo. Es una pena, porque con un poco de inversión (capex) el establecimiento podría ser una referencia. Actualmente da un poco de grima.
