I turned up to Travelodge Wakefield Woolley Edge M1 South 28th Jan, but on check-in, I noticed that I had mistakenly booked my room for the day after (29th) Wakefield Woolley Edge informed us that they were full, but I could transfer over my booking to Barnsley as there were still rooms available there. I checked availability for Barnsley on their website before setting off to their hotel, I also checked 2 other websites, and all websites were quoting £53.99 for this night. I had driven up from London, and after a long day I just wanted to eat, shower and sleep. When I arrived at Barnsley Travelodge, I was told that I could indeed transfer over my booking to them, but I would need to pay an admin fee of £10 and a further £35 on top of what I had originally paid which was £34.99. £21 More than the advertised rate for that evening!? I have no clue what the rooms look like as I didn't stay, instead I lost my money because I refuse to be exploited!
