Econo Lodge Cherokee Near Island Park

I will say this is a nice and clean place to stay. Have been to the mountains two and I choose to say here friendly staff.

We stayed here on our drive across the USA. The room was neat and clean. Beds were comfortable. Good location. Staff friendly and helpful. Rates were very reasonable. Breakfast supplied. Would recommend this hotel for the budget minded traveler.

VERY CLEAN ROOM!!! Staff was so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. Its on the river and in nice area of town. Just awesome to have nice clean floors, clean sheets, shower and no smells etc. Its also walking distance to shopping area. We will definitely visit again. Thanks!!!

We usually stay at motels with inside entry to the rooms so this was a different experience for us. The noise level outside was very detracting but the room was very good otherwise. The management was very attentive and the breakfast area and breakfast, though limited, was good and we enjoyed it. We did have problems with our keys twice but the manager fixed it right away with just a walk to the office involved. We stayed at the motel for 4 nights and used it as a hub for our daily activities in the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay after getting use to the noisy parking lot.

We stayed for one night at the Econolodge in Cherokee. We had two double beds. The room was clean and we slept well. Free breakfast included microwaved biscuit and sausage, toaster heated waffles and french toast, hot and cold cereals, cinnamon toast, real muffins and pastry, good coffee, hot chocolate packets and cartons of OJ and apple juice, yogurt and granola bars. Tip: Sweetbear Ice Cream and Coffee has very good ice cream flavors.

This is a wonderful budget motel near the south entrance of Great Smoky Mountain National Park. My room was perfectly clean and up-to-date. The setting is very picturesque, and they even have rocking chairs outside each room. Service was excellent, and my only regret is not being able to stay longer!

VERY clean hotel. All the staff we encountered were super nice. I had to call the hotel ahead of time and they were very helpful with my questions. Convenient location. Yes, older building but kept up. Firm king mattress which I like. Simple continental breakfast but stocked and clean.

We stayed here for 2 nights while in the area. From the minute we stepped in the office, we were greated by a very friendly staff. We were able to check in a little early. Average size room and very clean. There is a mini fridge in the room. A previous poster commented on how cool the room was. I am NOT cold natured and I was cool most of the time in here. I agree, it's due to being at the base of a hill and right up aginst it and my bed was closest to the window and I could feel the cool air coming from there as well. If you're cold natured, I'd bring a blanket as the sheets and what else they had on the beds was thin. The beds were harder that I like but it was okay for the time we were there. The outside noise does carry in the room as well, from the cars on the street, to people in the parking lot and walking by the rooms. But again, all of that was acceptble for just 2 nights. They had a nice breakfast. Mostly contientinal but several choices. Coffee, hot chocolate and granola bars out all of the time. Very conveient and close to everything. We drove to Bryson City to ride the Polar Express, walked to Oconaluftee Island Park to see the Enchanted Island of Lights and walked over to eat at All Fried Up (all have seperate reviews). We would definately stay here again.

Very convenient location, clean, hot showers, fridge, older but has been kept up, pet friendly, locally American owned. Friendly folks. I am cold natured the room was naturally cool because it’s at the base of the hill - probably perfect during summer. Heat worked great. The TV had minimal channels and didn’t show with the greatest quality but still watchable.
