Gutes Stadthotel neben einer Bahnstation und maximal 5 Min von einer U Bahn Station entfernt. Auch viele Buslinien fahren im Umkreis von 5 Min. um das Hotel herum. Entfernung per ÖPNV bis Airport circa 45 Min.. Hotel liegt zentral, sowohl Hafen, Strand als auch zentrale Plätze und Straßen im Umkreis von maximal 20 Fussminuten erreichbar. Hotelzimmer modern mit Klimaanlage, Safe (funktionierte leider nicht, da wohl kein Schlüssel vorhanden), WLAN schnell, Bad und Schlafzimmer sehr modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Bett sehr bequem und ausreichend Platz im Zimmer. Frühstück reichlich und qualitativ hochwertig. In allen Bereichen sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Vielen Dank für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt bei Ihnen.

I loved staying here. The common space and rooms are beautiful and the beds are comfy with curtains and lights, outlets and lockers that all work great. Staff was helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the common space. It was great to work and stretch in but also possible to have a nice chat with someone if you’re feeling social. It definitely has a more mature atmosphere so if you’re looking for a place to party and meet other young travelers this is probably not for you. I really appreciated this element and would definitely stay here again. Only down sides are the shower water smells a bit like sulfur and some of the sinks don’t drain well. Though for the very affordable price I’d say it would be tough to find something nicer.

Very cool and funky hotel in a great area. Location: center city. Very convenient to many of the sites, metro, shopping (high end), hop on/ hop off bus, nice restaurants, etc Hotel overall: just COOL with a very laid back, fun vibe. Daily free yoga classes. Free walking tour. Amazing breakfast. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. No language issues. Decor is fabulous and eclectic. Excellent use of old and new. Elevators from the last century. Circular staircases surround the elevators. Yoga studio with colorful, comfortable pillows. Tile floors. Lots of shared/common areas including library, study, terrace (great sitting area for cards and a glass of wine), communal kitchen with fridges, micro, plates, glasses, flatware... The room: we got a double with ensuite bath. The room was TINY and dark. Had a bed and an open ”warerobe” with a rod and couple of shelves and that was it. One window with drapes looking out over a small, dark inner courtyard type square. Not even bedside tables. The bath was tiny and the shower floor was ceramic and treacherous when wet. No grab bars, so be had to be very careful. The room was quite off putting at first, but once you ”let it go”, it sort of fit with the experience. It made us socialize more and enjoy the common areas. Met a couple of interesting people... No TV -- anywhere, including common areas. At first it was strange, but we ended up enjoying the break from the noise -- it fits with the Casa vibe. Price/rate: very reasonable, @$100us per night plus tax.

Checking in was good and we thought we were in for a great stay. After that it was sadly downhill all the way. Rooms ok but basic, and upgrading to a Suite is definitely not worth the extra money. Take earplugs as the noise from the roads, restaurants, bin emptying etc is constant. The bar was not opened for our whole stay, and the staff were very dismissive when we questioned why it was not available. One receptionist just shrugged his shoulders and looked back down to his paperwork. After check in they barely acknowledged us as we came and went. No air conditioning in the rooms so we had to leave windows wide open at night - cannot imagine what it would be like in summer. No tea and coffee making facility in the room. No outside space to use unless you go down the road to the sister hotel. Basically confined to your room, and you had to go out to find all your food and drink as there was no Room Service on offer either.

I stayed here for two nights in January 2022 as part of a group tour and overall had a pretty awful experience. I faced the following problems at this hotel- 1- The bathroom is open without any door so basically everyone in the room can see you inside the bathroom. This is not an ideal situation for any travelers except couples. Moreover, it ensures that the water from the shower falls into the room and makes it wet. 2- The bed provides no comforter or blanket. So when you feel cold you have to unwrap a brown paper full length cover that does not give any protection at all from the cold. 3- When you switch on the hand shower, the head shower comes on automatically, that too with ice cold water! 4- There is a large counter behind the bed to place items but when you put something on it, you get a loud metallic shrieking noise. 5- Air conditioning in the corridor outside the rooms is set to freezing temperature. 6- Breakfast timings were supposed to be from 7 am to 10 am, but when we went at 8 30 am most of the food was over and nobody was taking an interest in refilling the food. The coffee machine was not working properly. 7- We could hear everything that occurred in adjacent rooms, because soundproofing was poor. 8- We were given two separate beds in spite of being a couple. 9- Finding out which switches operate which lights was very difficult. Moreover on the first day we requested a wake up call which never came! The few positive points are- 1- Close to Fira Metro Station on the Metro Line 9 (4 minute walk) 2- Close to Gran Vía 2 shopping mall (12 minute walk) 3- Friendly and polite staff Overall I think the hotel needs to make a lot of improvements!

Ich war im Dezember 10 Tage in dem Hotel. Ankunft Zimmer hatte 25 Grad, leider kein lüften oder kühlen möglich. Fenster sind nicht öffenbar aus Sicherheitsgründen, aber bei Zimmern mit Balkon kein Problem, völlig unlogisch. Klimaanlage ist leider ausgeschalten. Nach mehrfacher Reklamation wurde das Fenster einen Spalt geöffnet, ich musste in der Zeit aber das Zimmer verlassen. Manchmal unangenehmer Geruch aus der Dusche / WC. Lage ist ok. Ist zwar etwas außerhalb, aber ca. 5 Gehminuten zum Strand und Metrostation auf der anderen Straßenseite. Die Metroverbindungen sind sehr gut und kommt man überall hin. Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Rezeption hält sich in Grenzen. Frühstück war ok, Rührei hatte einen sehr seltsamen Geschmack, habe ich dann gemieden. Wenn man allerdings dann lieber ein Spiegelei möchte, kostet dieses 5 Euro! extra, obwohl man ja Frühstück mitgebucht hatte. Das finde ich schon sehr frech und ist mir in einem 4 Sterne Hotel noch nie passiert. Gut war die Abdunklung der Zimmer, schlecht das die Böden alle gefliest sind, und man vom Nachbarn jede Bewegung des Stuhls gehört hat, extrem nervig. Größtes Problem war für mich die Sicherheit. Safe ist zwar vorhanden, aber man bekommt problemlos eine 2,3,4. Zimmerkarte ohne Kontrollen. Ich musste nur einen Namen sagen, dann wurde mir sogar noch die Zimmernummer dazu verraten. Die Hoteldirektorin sah keine Veranlassung die Sicherheitsstandards dafür zu erhöhen, und z.b. nach einem Pass zu Fragen oder persönlichen Daten wie Geb.Datum. Der Aufwand wäre zu groß, obwohl bekannt ist, das es zu Diebstählen kam und kommt, auch in der Zeit wo ich dort war.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Tembo hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das sehr gepflegte Hotel ist architektonisch sehr schön gebaut. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, ruhig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und die Bettwäsche schön weich. Das Badezimmer mit abgetrenntem WC und Dusche sehr schön und die Frottewäsche qualitativ hochwertig. Eine kleine Küche mit Geschirrspüler, ein kleiner Balkon mit Sitzmöglichkeiten, eine schöne Polstergruppe und Fernseher bot das Zimmer auch. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und alles frisch zubereitet. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend. Das Tembo liegt etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums von Barcelona. Zum Meer sind es knapp 10 Gehminuten und etwa 5 Gehminuten entfernt beginnt eine grosse Auswahl an Einkaufmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Ein schöner Strandweg führt bis ins Zentrum von Barcelona, Gehminuten ca. 1h bis 1.5h. Die U-Bahn liegt 5 Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt und führt in ca. 20 Min. ins Zentrum. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch nach Barcelona wieder im Tembo buchen.

Die Nähe zum Flughafen ist keine Option. Das Flugzeug kam sehr spät an. Wählen Sie hier. Die gesamte Umgebung ist ziemlich gut. Ich habe ein Zimmer für zwei Personen gebucht. Mir wurde ein Vierbettzimmer gegeben. Der Raum war riesig, aber ein bisschen wie ein Gefängnis. Aber es ist sehr sauber und das Frühstück ist recht reichhaltig. Das Hotel liegt nicht weit von der U-Bahn entfernt und ist sehr praktisch, um in die Stadt oder zum Flughafen zu gelangen.

Das Hotel ist nicht gut, aber im Verhältnis zum Preis wenig mehr kann man bestellen. Das Zimmer war sauber, das große und komfortabele Bett und das gute Frühstück. Um die Wartung zu verbessern, war der Bettkopf sehr verbraucht, und der Griff zerkleinerte. Der Empfangsmann war effizient und sehr freundlich. Außerdem nutzen wir die Garage kostenlos.

Wir waren mit dem Hotel selbst sehr zufrieden. Das Parken hat auch keine zusätzlichen Kosten verursacht. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war zufriedenstellend, d.h. man hatte ein offenes Büfett, aber weniger abwechslungsreich. Leider war es zu weit vom Zentrum entfernt und hatte kein Pool. Im großen und ganzen waren sehr zufrieden auch wegen dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
