Premier Inn Camberley

We had a fantastic weekend in Camberley, visited family in the area. We stayed in Premier Inn Camberley, where we were welcomed by a lovely lady on reception. We also had breakfast in the mornings, what was an excellent choice of food. The hotel is in a good location, clean, and we couldn’t find anything to complain about. Highly recommend it!

terrible beds, not enough towels for a pre booked family room, not clean, damp and smelly. Definitely won't stay in another Premier Inn, nothing premier about the place, just as well stay in a travelodge next time, at least they aren't trying to be something they aren't

Where do we begin? In the first room we were coughing all night and couldn’t understand why. In the morning we saw that there was black mold everywhere in the bathroom as a result of insufficient ventilation and the ceilings were cracking with paint peeling. We were then moved to our next room - the heat didn’t work and we were shivering through the night. Also they decided to put the designated smoking zone in front of the entrance so the entire lobby smelled like cigarettes. We ended up having to end our stay early and switch to another hotel. Would NEVER stay here again.

I remain a huge fan of the PI brand, for the most part it does what it says on the tin (in my personal experience) and the newer and newly refurbished properties really are a major stepforward IMHO. However, the Camberley Inn has definitely seen better days, and the additional cost of car parking now makes this one a no-go for me. Rooms are OK but very tired, service is mediocre - cannot comment on food as did not eat here. I sincerely hope this one is due a revamp and that Whitbread can do a deal with the local Car Parks to offer a discount.

We stay at Camberley Premier Inn regularly, on a Saturday night. The hotel is one of the better Premier Inns and we have never experienced a problem until our last stay a few days ago. No issues with the room itself which was clean, with the excellent bed and an amazing shower. The problem we encountered was with the service. The receptionist told us that we had 3 rooms booked and charged for, when in fact we had booked only 2 (for 3 people). She promised to look into it and to contact us in the room. This didn't happen so we went back to reception, to find that she'd left and her colleague who was now on duty had no idea about our situation. The colleague promised to message her and that we would be contacted. Nothing happened. We still have no idea what went wrong with the bookings - we do know that the website sometimes malfunctions and states that the booking didn't go ahead when in fact it does, so you have to be careful not to be charged twice. At the very least the receptionist shouldn't promise what they don't then deliver, and if they can't themselves address the issue they should pass it up the chain and inform the client. It was disappointingly poor service that marred our stay.

Was here for business, the young girl at check in was more intrested in playing with phone and arranging a night out with her manager than checking me in. Thought I'd have early night so decided to have food in reception. The table was sticky, so I asked to move, the manager on duty tutted and rolled her eyes. Then sent the young girl to take my order. After a long wait she came back to say they didn't have my order in stock. I gave up and went to five guys. Got up early the next day and went for breakfast. What a diffrence the waiter was informative and helpful. I asked if I could have a recipt for my stay when leaving and the manager on shift was happy to help no waiting. I told her about the night before and she apologised. If all the staff was like morning staff I would have left all 5 score but evening staff need retraining. Can't remember the lady in mornings name but I'm sure it started with M Maureen or Moner I think.
