I booked for 3 persons per room, with 2 breakfast so I was expecting to pay only for the additional breakfast of the extra person (no extra bedding requested), but was asked to pay for the full extra person with breakfast and no senior discount. I may have misunderstood, but the booking choices via Trip were also misleading (2person/room w/ 2 breakfast; 3persons/room w/ 2 breakfast; 3 persons/room w 3 breakfast; I chose the 2nd option).
Room service took a very long time, more than the promised 45mins.
One of the assigned rooms had a broken doorknob that wasn't fixed since it was on one of the connecting rooms.

#1 my nakapasok na snake sa loob ng resort which is unacceptable lalo na if my mga kasama kang bata
#2. Ang daming centipede na nkakapasok sa loob ng room. I even saw crawling on the bed!
#3. Masyadong OA and strict sa guest as in bilang nila ang guest pag pasok mo palang sa gate and iccharge ka ng 2800 plus per night!!
#4. Sobrang mahal ng foods. Not worth the price.
#5. Goodluck sa zigzag na biyahe🤮

Diebe !!

We went here by car, from Manila it took us 14 hours road trip and believe me it was worth the drive. Reaching near Misibis Bay we already knew we’re staying in Paradise. The place is so clean, the room is equipped with latest bathroom fixtures! What we enjoyed the most with our stay is the food, fresh sea catch grilled in front of you in their buffet. We also loved the boat tour in the whole Albay Gulp. Friendly staff is also a plus, they always greet you with a big smile! ☺️

The place is a beautiful tropical paradise, the accommodations were excellent, the hotel and restaurant staff were super attentive and helpful. They even upgraded our room accommodation upon learning that we were 2-time day trip visitors over the last 3 years and finally brought with us 9 more guests for a 3-night stay. I would have rated our visit a perfect excellent if it were not for some details that I noticed during the duration of our stay. The entire place seemed to be sorely lacking in maintenance. It would be a shame and great loss if the infrastructure deficiencies were to be left unattended. For example, the reception building had leaky roofs (it was raining the whole time we were there) and moldy stains were visible on the rafters. The glass roof was almost covered in moss. The rug and furniture fabric looked like it could use a total shampooing and cleaning. Concrete areas around the pool and concrete walkways could use power washing. Our room could have been a five star rating were it not for small details like broken veranda sliding door latch, a main door electronic door lock that always ran out of battery power and kept us locked out aeveral times until we we’re provided with a hard key. A bathroom doorhandle was loose and just needed an allen wrench tightening. I suspect the paint was still original from when the place opened originally although the walls and ceilings were clean. However, the bathroom wall paper was peeling off in places. Really small details that indicate that the management might be abandoning this magnificent resort. If this wee to happen, it would be such a great shame!!!

This was our return visit to Misibis Bay. Our first trip back in 2013 was a wonderful experience through and through (I have a stellar review posted here) and we were looking forward to this vacation, and we ended up incredibly disappointed. While the resort still looks great if a bit worn down, much of the younger staff, while polite and pleasant, borders on incompetent. For example: Housekeeping cleaned our room. They were done in under 10 minutes. When I checked, there were still stains stuck to the toilet bowl and the wet, dirty bath mats were not replaced. The plates, cups, glasses, and utensils used were not replaced nor washed. Later that evening, they knocked. "Turndown service," said the guy. I opened the door expecting him to come in turn down the beds. He handed me four plates of kakanin... and left. While the restaurant staff was mostly efficient, the food quality was a mixed bag - from an excellent Mac & Cheese to a completely inedible Spaghetti Bolognese. Grilled Shrimps did not seem fresh and were very hard to chew. A fried chicken dish that the menu said was made only of boneless thighs were mostly breasts. The breakfast buffet was okay, but lacked day to day variety. And there were so many unavailable a la carte menu items. You'd expect them to have adequate stocks since it's the NYE long weekend. Their golf cart drivers who take you to your room from reception drive at alarmingly fast speeds. Unlike in other resorts where they're cautious since they're on the same pathways as pedestrians, these guys are constantly speeding such that it seems they want you to just jump out of their way. The front office staff members were mostly polite and gracious, but one was lacking in the personal touch of engaging the guest with light banter. The water activities staff was extremely professional and helpful. They were the sole remnants of the perfect staff we remembered from our previous stay. What makes a resort memorable as a luxury resort is the amount of care guests receive without having to ask for it. In this case, you really feel the change with the current management, which I hear is a different group from when we first visited. So in short, it's still physically a nice resort, but there really needs to be improvements in the training of the staff to improve the customer experience.

Our stay was last Nov 1-3 as a group of 3 families with kids. It was a very pleasant stay however i was taken aback at the reception that after checking in we were asked to deposit another 3thousand each per adult wherein i have paid for the entire 3 days of stay already. I have paid for 5 bedroom seaview we were supposed to be 10 adults altogether and 5 kids. My brother in law couldnt take time off work. So technically 9 adults. I refused to pay for it and handed him a 3k cash instead which is refundable. Kids are supposed to be counted free in the accomodation and breakfast and yet they still charged me breakfast for them. It seems like the reception is a scam and then when you are checking out it is another scam. I didnt want to argue as i just wanted to get out of the overpriced food and drink. I have not even mentioned that i had to ask them 3x in a different occasion to fix the drain of the bath tub becauase it wasnt retaining water. My 8 year old son with autism only takes a bath and aftaid of shower. Tbh i could have also asked to be moved to a different room but i wanted to be closed to my parents and family so i have plugged the drain with plastic whenever we use it. The hot water is luke warm. The floor level is health hazard. The rooms are not cleaned everyday. The led lights from the mirror kept falling off and of course i was ignored again. No technician came in our room for the entire 3 days then they charged me for kids breakfast. The staff are corteous but service is really a downer. My husband ordered a sirloin steak that costs 700 pesos then after half an hour the waiter said the chef said to him that the only available steak was the expensive one that costs 1,500 pesos steak. My husband asked if it will be served to him and we are charged for the sirloin instead and the waiter came back and said no. At this point my sinigang soup with about 5 small pieces of tuna steak came and 5 pieces of kangkong and onions came in a big bowl with loads of water. Oh and rice doesnt come free with any of the menu. My husband ended up ordering chicken wings. Again we didnt argue because i just want our stay to be pleasant. My patience was tested that is what i like about the misibis. I over expected because i paid an overpriced accomodation ahead of my our stay. The DTI people should be called up to investigate on this resort and put a hold of their price just because the place is very secluded from any nearby town. In short, you cannot access a public market or tindahan if u wanted something to eat something cheap. Buffet food is great but not really much food for the westerners. They only grill seafood and of course no liempo or beef or even a fresh tilapia or tuna or chicken in sight. Only squid and mussels. A choice of milk should be in sight during breakfast however, there was none for any lactose intolerant. The champurado and goto is very soupy. I can only count how many grains of sticky rice is in a bowl. In fairness the
