PU Luong Bocbandi Retreat

We stayed here as a part of our Trip a Deal tour. Lovely place. I asked to change rooms for a better view and the staff were very accomodating. The steps are many and steep BUT it’s worth it for the views. Lovely food for this vegetarian. Freshly made omelette for breakfast was delish. Poolside with drinks from the bar made it feel like a fabulous and indulgent break.

I challenge anyone to find a better view from an infinity pool in any hotel in the world. It’s utterly fabulous! Initially, over rice terraces then over the lush near hills and finally to views of the far mountains on the other side of the valley. Wonderful. The rooms are great – big comfy beds and excellent showers, the bar is in the perfect spot and the foods good too. Come for the pool but stay for the rest!

Went as part of a tour. The hotel itself is lovely and scenic. Good options are average compared to elsewhere in Vietnam. The room we had was nice, clean, and everything worked as it should. Breakfast was not very inspired. The pool is nice to have on hot days. The pool bar was not always open. The thing to consider is the amount of steps to get anywhere. We counted around 120 steps from the road to the restaurant located in the middle of the site. Not too bad if you are quite fit, but add in 35 C temps, and 90% humidity, and it loses it's fun going down to the pool and back. Bit that is the hotel, the trade off for the great views, is a bit of a walk up and down stairs to get anything.

After a beautiful welcome, bags taken to your room, you may need to climb some steps, however on arrival to your room you will see the view is definitely worth it. Rooms are large, clean and have everything you need. Immersed into the mountainside, beside the rice fields. Chickens running around wild, it’s a beautiful place to get away and relax. Pool is amazing with sensational views and a bar located steps away also with another stunning view. Staff are so friendly. Wish we were here longer.

This resort is in an outstanding location. It is situated on the eco forest hillside with fantastic mountain view and fresh mountain air. The rooms are very private, spacious with 5 star rated facilities. A very comfortable king sized bed and beautiful garden fauna. Fully recommended for someone seeking eco forest experience. Stayed for 3 x nights. Loved it. Our view perfect (mountains, rice terraces, etc) but note that some units don't have that. Luck of the draw. Pool is beautiful and great spot for beers. Yes, bit algae on flooring but it's a freshwater pool. Food was lovely.

The accommodation is amazing! The views from our Balcony Unit were beautiful.This is a new resort built during around 2020-21.The horizon pool has views to the large terraced paddy field next door and mountains beyond.The staff were friendly and efficient.The cocktails and drinks were excellent and well priced.The large restaurant served authentic local Vietnamese cuisine,prepared in house.

We were so looking forward to our 3 night stay here but sadly it was disappointing. The pool looks wonderful but there was algae all over the bottom of it and it was particularly bad at one end. The staff were friendly but spoke very little English so difficult to communicate. The restaurant was hit and miss and most times it was miss. Breakfast omelettes were well done but coffee was a disaster. It was far too strong, often cold and milk was hidden away and only a jug equivalent to half a cup was provided at any one time. Guests had to wait until the milk was retrieved from its hidden location for the jug to be filled again. There was no hot water available so we couldn’t dilute the strong coffee. We ordered pizza for lunch one day and it took one hour to arrive. One meal we enjoyed was grilled chicken with honey which came with rice and a salad. We decided to order it again and a completely different meal was provided. This time it came with a thick sauce, chips and salad. Room service was adequate but the mini bar wasn’t replaced. I had filled out the form but it wasn’t taken so when I paid the bill I had to add it to the account. On checking out I was told I had to pay for the minibar but I pointed out I had already paid it. We were venturing out on a walk one day when it had been raining and the steps and ramps were extremely slippery and dangerous. My husband slipped and grazed his arm but it could have been a lot worse. We were wearing hiking shoes suitable for walking in these conditions so it wasn’t as if we were wearing unsuitable footwear. The concept of the resort is wonderful but unfortunately the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

My room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Be prepared to have a very quick shower as the water turns cold. Beware of the slippery surface when entering and leaving the premises. As you enter from the road and are facing the property enter via the right side. There are steps. Was a nice stay.
