Das Einchecken dauerte etwas länger als ein 5-Sterne-Hotel sollte sein. Ich bin um 1 Uhr nach einem Übernachtflug angekommen und benötigt einen Ruhezustand. Das Zimmer war nicht bereit, so gut kann ich warten. Bis 3 Uhr war es noch nicht bereit... nur in das Zimmer um 4 Uhr schließlich. Der erste Eindruck ist zerstört.

TLDR: keine Klimaanlage, ständige Stromausfälle, hauchdünne Wände. Wo soll ich anfangen? Erstens gibt es keine Klimaanlage, sodass die Zimmer heiß und ungemütlich sind. Es gibt Kanalventilatoren mit niedriger Drehzahl, die nicht viel bewirken. Aber das größte Problem ist die Tatsache, dass die Räume meiner Meinung nach mit Bewegungssensoren oder einer Art Timer ausgestattet sind, sodass alle 25 Sekunden der gesamte Strom abgeschaltet wird. Das ist keine Übertreibung. Dazu gehören die Lichter, die Kanne, der Ventilator – alles. Ich habe mir im Dunkeln die Zehen gestoßen, weil beim Herumlaufen das Licht ausging und sich nicht wieder einschalten ließ. Duschen im Dunkeln, da das Licht ständig an und aus ist. Viel Glück beim Kaffeekochen, Duschen, Fernsehen oder Ähnlichem, ohne dass dies durch ständige Stromausfälle unterbrochen wird, die Sie in den Wahnsinn treiben. Ich habe das kleine Zimmer gebucht. Auf den Fotos sehen sie klein aus, aber in Wirklichkeit sind sie sogar noch kleiner, und ich hatte das Gefühl, ich würde ersticken. Die Zimmer sind winzig und heizen sich wie verrückt auf. Das kleinste Hotelzimmer, das ich je gesehen habe. Außerdem sind die Wände hauchdünn, so dass ich die Gespräche meiner Nachbarn Wort für Wort hören konnte, selbst mit Ohrstöpseln. Wenn es eine Klimaanlage und schallisolierte Wände gäbe, hätte ich den extrem kleinen Raum ertragen können. Schreckliche Erfahrung. Kümmern Sie sich nicht einmal um diesen Ort. Das Abstract hatte viel Potenzial, da es sehr schön dekoriert war, sich aber im Stich ließ. Es befindet sich außerdem in einer gefährlichen Gegend im Zentrum von Auckland. Sie sollten also sicherstellen, dass Sie in der Dunkelheit und in der Nähe vieler betrunkener Obdachloser in Ihrem Zimmer sind. Nachdem ich in der ersten Nacht aufgrund der Hitze, der Stickigkeit und der Gespräche der Nachbarn überhaupt nicht geschlafen hatte, beschwerte ich mich und ließ mein Zimmer freundlicherweise in ein größeres umbauen, aber die gleichen Probleme blieben bestehen: ständige Stromausfälle und auch in diesem Zimmer gab es keine Klimaanlage. Zumindest war es etwas kühler, da es größer war und ein zusätzliches Fenster hatte, außerdem gab es keine Nachbarn. Der Kundenservice war ziemlich gut. Da vor Ort keine Parkplätze vorhanden sind, müssen Sie in einem Parkhaus auf der anderen Straßenseite parken. Das Essen im Restaurant war durchschnittlich, aber das Highlight war der wunderschöne Essbereich im Freien.

Nicely appointed rooms, if a little small. Good bathroom space. Wardrobe a little small for two people for a few nights stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We had excellent service during our entire stay. Housekeeping staff were lovely and checked each day to see that we had enough coffee, etc. Parking onsite is helpful, if cramped, and does need good driving skills and a small vehicle. It is easy to get to places from here. A short walk to K Road, only 2.5km from New Market (walk, don't use a vehicle). An easy walk to Britomart and even though we did not use the buses this time, on a bus route, with the stop almost outside the door. We would easily stay here again.

Bitte geben Sie diese Ski-Firma nicht an die Kunden, damit es das Hotelbild nicht beeinträchtigt.

A centrally located hotel within walking distance of the harbour and other attractions. Stayed here for two nights to recover from a long flight before setting off on our New Zealand odyssey. Check in is efficient and our room was on the 23rd floor which afforded views across the city. The room was spacious and clean and the king size bed very comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with good quality accessories and the shower was powerful and hot. Ideal. However, we were close to lift and the whooshing noise when it was in use would annoy some. Breakfast was a little disappointing. The buffet is expensive for what’s on offer and the quality of the food we found average at best. At the time we stayed there was major construction work in progress outside the hotel although we were out during the day so it didn’t bother us.

Alles war gut. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Ich hatte nur zweimal mit dem Personal an der Rezeption zu tun, bei der Ankunft und bei der Abreise vom Hotel. Beide Male war das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer selbst war gut. Eine sehr anständige Größe und hatte auch eine Couch in der Ecke. Die Klimaanlage war nicht so toll, aber besser als nichts.

This is definitely the best hotel with top service in Auckland. We were on a group tour and stayed in several hotels all over the country, Horizon stood out as the most accommodating, comfortable, and friendly. It's just a few minutes walk from Weta, the neighborhood is clean, modern and convenient, surrounded by convenient stores and restaurants. I carelessly left my spare phone in a hotel in Wellington, and I am super grateful that the Concierge at Horizon went out of their way to help get it back... (it was a slightly complicated situation as I left New Zealand before the phone reached Horizon).

I'm in LOVE! Cosy, Welcoming, Boutiquey. Went for a night away from my boys felt like I'd had a week at a spa. The staff were attentive and kind without being stiff necked. Room service from the restricted late night menu was DELICIOUS and the in-house breakfast was a perfect selection of light continental or eggs any way. The open fire was warm and inviting being tended by a waiter but i really did feel like I could put a log on it if I had I had itched that urge, My room had views of the city ferry's coming on a gloomy day. I happily watched them from my bed tucked up with my selection of pillows and the soft cotton and wool blanket. I'll be back sooner than later I expect and I'll be asking for the same room. An awesome example of the best of what our city has to offer. Made me proud to be a JAFFA!

On March 13 to March 15, I stayed at the Intercontinental Auckland. My first night at that hotel was probably the worst of any hotel stay in my life. We arrived at 930AM from international flight from the US. The hotel did not have a room ready, which was understandable. There actually were rooms ready, but the front desk did not want to assign an upgrade. The bell hop held our bags and was to place our bags into the assigned room. We come back at 515PM, get the room keys. We go to the room and we cannot enter the room because the security flapper was closed. We go back to the front desk. The assistant manager goes up with us to the room. Of course, he cannot open the door. We are told to go to dinner, and the hotel would cover half of dinner. At 630PM, we are given another room, and told that dinner would all be comped. We wait in the new room for 4 more hours. Just after 1020PM, a bellhop brought us our bags. We waited 5 hours for our bags. We were tired after a 16-hour flight. We needed our meds and our CPAP machine. During this period there were numerous conversations of we’re doing the best we can. Hogwash! I spoke to the assistant manager at our room’s door at approximately 730PM. I told him he needed to drill the locks on the interconnecting doors. Because you see, our room was identical to the previous room. We only reserved one room. The assigned rooms had interconnecting doors. We suspect that the person who put our bags into the first room, exited from the other room after closing the shared doors. That person never checked our room’s security flapper. Comping our dinner, did nothing for the situation. The hotel should have put us in the nicest suite available. As that would have been the best service recovery! I know they were available, because I checked the IHG app. Instead, we get verbal apologies that never addressed our needs!!! Hello, we could have had a medical emergency, and this hotel plays with keys? There was no formal apology from the general manager, who never seemed to get involved. The comedy of errors and lack of empathy was astounding. At one point, I felt that the hotel was insinuating that somehow, we did this! Like really, how is that possible? The actual hotel is very nice. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The location cannot be beat if one is leaving on a cruise from Auckland. BUT, we would never stay at this hotel again! The actual operation of the hotel is very poor for a 5-star property. There is no good reason for what happened to us. I left after our 2 night stay, furious, aggravated and disappointed!!!

So sauber, komfortable, schön und voller Grünland mit einem Garten und einem kleinen Quellen. Guter Wert und eine angenehme Überraschung! Es fühlt sich wie ein schönes Landhaus, aber mit guten Betten, Kissen und Service.
