Booked a last-minute room here at Roomie due to road closures up in Northland and a long day of flying. The price seemed excellent, and the pictures online, whilst a bit vague, looked pretty nice. I did email the place to enquire on Reception Hours, as I was not going to be arriving until late. I was told there was a 24-hour reception, and someone would be on the desk to greet me. Little hard to find the place. Located down a One Way Street by the Avondale Train Station. There was no signage I could see that told me that I even had the right building. It was dark, so there may have been a Unilluminated one, but it was tricky at the time. I pulled up to the gate, which didn't open. It appeared I needed a key card. I double parked down the street and then tried to get in through another gate, which I also found needed a key card. I had to run back to the car and get a torch to be able to read the little sign, which told me I needed to Buzz the Reception who would open the Gate. The Gent at Reception was pretty quiet and disinterested. Sign In was done on those annoying tablet things, where you need to enter email addresses, etc. I went back and got the car to bring it into the Hotel CarPark. Unfortunately, you actually have to pull in, then get out of the car, and Swipe you Key Card to open the gate before jumping in and driving through. The only Car Park I could find was right at the bottom in a very tight corner. Unfortunately, there is only one entrance, so you have to walk back up and past the desk. Unfortunately, no matter what I tried, I could not get the lift to work. It just would not go to the level below. It just kept taking me up and down, but never to the level below reception where my room was. The Gent didn't seem too interested in the problem, just pointing over at the stairs. So I thudded all my bags down the stairs to the lower level. Here, I found there were no signs pointing out where the rooms were. I literally had to wander the corridors until I found my room. It wouldn't be hard to put up a poster, a map, or some signs, pointing out the directions of the rooms. Especially when the reception didn't seem to be detailed in his directions. The room was delightful. It really was. Clearly bigger than the one I booked, I was really taken with its layout and design. The main part had a sofa, small dining table, and a large telly with Freeview, but also ChromeCast. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with enough stuff to cook a decent meal. Even had a dishwasher to boot! Open the fridge only to find the dreaded UHT Milk, and only 3 little pottles at that. What an absolute letdown. A small bottle of fresh milk just makes so much difference. A large bed lay off to the side. Unfortunately you could not see the TV from Bed, which was a shame. The bathroom was smallish, but it did have a separate toilet room and an amazing shower. Super hot and with generous pressure. A shower you could spend a long time in. There were a sachet

On the website one can already see this property is in need of a far overdue renovation. Rooms I mn the original building are not soundproof, have stuff which was common in the eighties and will never return and somehow cannot make up its mind whither target market is. It seems they cater to the elderly, while their guests are younger. Therefor a mismatch. The spa is excellent and so is the food in the menu. However be prepared to eat this wonderful food in an outdated restaurant setting. With a marvellous view of Auckland though. The staff all seem happy to be here, but lack attention to detail. An email sent to me prior to my stay spoke of a road that would be closed on may something, while the booking was made in July for august… furthermore, make sure to clean in top of cupboards in guest rooms too (spiderwebs dust, dead insects where abundantly present). Why is the bar in the cosy fireplace lounge lit up like a cristmas tree which takes away all atmosphere again? And why is the music soo off compared to the atmosphere you would want to create here (and only audible in the reception area by yet again… speakers that date back from the eighties and create a creepy twin peaks like feeling? Just a couple of examples of the many things we saw.. With so much potential it seems only logical that an investor will buy it at make the needed changes in all perspective.

TLDR: keine Klimaanlage, ständige Stromausfälle, hauchdünne Wände. Wo soll ich anfangen? Erstens gibt es keine Klimaanlage, sodass die Zimmer heiß und ungemütlich sind. Es gibt Kanalventilatoren mit niedriger Drehzahl, die nicht viel bewirken. Aber das größte Problem ist die Tatsache, dass die Räume meiner Meinung nach mit Bewegungssensoren oder einer Art Timer ausgestattet sind, sodass alle 25 Sekunden der gesamte Strom abgeschaltet wird. Das ist keine Übertreibung. Dazu gehören die Lichter, die Kanne, der Ventilator – alles. Ich habe mir im Dunkeln die Zehen gestoßen, weil beim Herumlaufen das Licht ausging und sich nicht wieder einschalten ließ. Duschen im Dunkeln, da das Licht ständig an und aus ist. Viel Glück beim Kaffeekochen, Duschen, Fernsehen oder Ähnlichem, ohne dass dies durch ständige Stromausfälle unterbrochen wird, die Sie in den Wahnsinn treiben. Ich habe das kleine Zimmer gebucht. Auf den Fotos sehen sie klein aus, aber in Wirklichkeit sind sie sogar noch kleiner, und ich hatte das Gefühl, ich würde ersticken. Die Zimmer sind winzig und heizen sich wie verrückt auf. Das kleinste Hotelzimmer, das ich je gesehen habe. Außerdem sind die Wände hauchdünn, so dass ich die Gespräche meiner Nachbarn Wort für Wort hören konnte, selbst mit Ohrstöpseln. Wenn es eine Klimaanlage und schallisolierte Wände gäbe, hätte ich den extrem kleinen Raum ertragen können. Schreckliche Erfahrung. Kümmern Sie sich nicht einmal um diesen Ort. Das Abstract hatte viel Potenzial, da es sehr schön dekoriert war, sich aber im Stich ließ. Es befindet sich außerdem in einer gefährlichen Gegend im Zentrum von Auckland. Sie sollten also sicherstellen, dass Sie in der Dunkelheit und in der Nähe vieler betrunkener Obdachloser in Ihrem Zimmer sind. Nachdem ich in der ersten Nacht aufgrund der Hitze, der Stickigkeit und der Gespräche der Nachbarn überhaupt nicht geschlafen hatte, beschwerte ich mich und ließ mein Zimmer freundlicherweise in ein größeres umbauen, aber die gleichen Probleme blieben bestehen: ständige Stromausfälle und auch in diesem Zimmer gab es keine Klimaanlage. Zumindest war es etwas kühler, da es größer war und ein zusätzliches Fenster hatte, außerdem gab es keine Nachbarn. Der Kundenservice war ziemlich gut. Da vor Ort keine Parkplätze vorhanden sind, müssen Sie in einem Parkhaus auf der anderen Straßenseite parken. Das Essen im Restaurant war durchschnittlich, aber das Highlight war der wunderschöne Essbereich im Freien.

Die Lage des Hotels ist in der Nähe des Sky Tower und auch in der Nähe der Queen Street. Die umliegenden Restaurants, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Transportmittel sind sehr bequem. Das Zimmer ist sehr groß, das Bett ist 2 Meter breit, die Schalldämmung ist gut, das Badezimmer ist von Nass und Trocken getrennt und die Rezeptionistin ist nett.Kurz gesagt, es ist das zufriedenstellendste Hotel, in dem ich in Neuseeland übernachtet habe Es muss gelobt werden.

Die Unterkunft ist für eine Woche für eine intensive Arbeitsreise und es war wirklich schön, jeden Abend wieder in dieses sehr saubere und komfortable Hotel zu kommen. Das Rezeptionpersonal war großartig, vor allem Shane, der unglaublich persönlich und hilfreich war, ging er oben und weiter, um sicherzustellen, dass ich alles hatte, was ich brauchte.

**Bewertung des Kiwi International Hotels, Auckland ** Während meiner Aufenthalt im Kiwi International Hotel in Auckland wurde ich von einer unfreundlichen und kalten Rezeption von einer Inselfrau auf dem Vorderbüro begrüßt. Wenn es nicht für meine vorbezahlte Buchung und die Erschöpfung eines langen Fluges gewesen wäre, wäre ich sofort verlassen. Trotz des unweltgefälligen Starts waren die Zimmer komfortabel, obwohl die Fenster rutschten und in kalte Luft gelassen. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem sehr zentralen Lager, nur 100 m vom lebendigen Nachtleben von K'Rd und 200 m vom Onkel Man's, dem besten malesischen Restaurant in Auckland.

Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite hotels during my 2-week stay in New Zealand. It is located in the heart of Auckland’s cbd area and close to everything (shops, restaurants, bars, harbor). It is a 6-minute walk to the Sky Tower where you can pick up the Airport Express bus for $17 nzd. The hotel entrance is on a significant incline. The reception is on the 2nd floor which you can take either an elevator or escalator up. The cafeteria and small lounge are to the right of the reception desk. Breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, toast, yogurt, cereal, fruits, muffins, and other pastries. Due to the high volume of clients the 2 coffee machines were usually low on milk to make certain coffee drinks. I love the room set up. The closet is across of the bathroom and had plenty of room for your luggage. The shower is enclosed in a glass cube with wave designs. A nightlight in the bathroom saved on electricity if you need a little light to move around the room. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked. The reception staff was kind to let me stay an extra hour past the check-out time for the room that I had with my tour. The room that I booked after the tour was ready early and I got to settle in at 11 am before my afternoon tour. Construction is happening around the hotel with the streets being torn up and a new building under construction next to the hotel. The hotel is well insulated that I couldn’t hear any of the construction.

Mein Mann war einmal hier zufällig und jetzt ist es der Ort, wo er die meisten Wochen verbleibt, Große, saubere, ruhige Zimmer, mit allem, was Sie brauchen, Kaffeemaschine, Mikrowelle, großer Bildschirm-TV, das komfortable Bett und ein großes Badezimmer mit einer guten Dusche . Aber das Beste von weitem ist das Personal, von der freundlichen Willkommen und aufmerksamen Service, Sie konnten nicht mehr, wenige Touchs wie die Erinnerung an Ihre Namen, bedeutet viel.... Wenn Sie Pawan eine besondere Erwähnung geben müssen, ist es genau wie ein Freund, der Sie begrüßt, ein wahrhaft freundlicher Willkommen jederzeit wiederkommt, macht Sie sich wie zu Hause fühlen. Wie immer gut, außer dass die Einrichtungen der alten Hotels in Neuseeland relativ veraltet sind, aber der Service ist hervorragend und das Personal ist sehr enthusiastisch
