Acropolis Plaza Smart Hotel and Spa

I booked a room for 2 people, with a bed & chaise lounge. When we arrived we requested to use the chaise to sleep on but were told it would be an additional 50 euros to do so. They refused to provide linens for the chaise unless I paid extra. Even though there was no mention of this on the website when booking. Which is a bait & switch. I also had to purchase more toilet paper for the room as their was no one staffing the front desk, when it was needed. I arranged airport pick up thru them & the driver never showed up nor answered when they tried to track them down. But despite this poor customer service, I was still asked to pay extra to have bedding. The neighborhood is sketchy. We were followed twice at night. Not a good option for solo travelers. It's noisy all night & in need of sound proof windows. All of this & poor customer service makes this a place to avoid.

Everything here met my expectations. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is well located to reach all parts of Athens easily on foot and has also got very close links to public transport.

This is a brand new property with spacious and bright suites. Ideal location next to metro station. coffee shops and restaurants just in walking distance . Highlight for sure the view of Acropolis from the rooftop. Super clean rooms with fast WiFi smart tv and workspace ,professional staff and very friendly, happy to assist you in every way. It’s totally recommended and I will choose for sure for my next trip to Athens .

I have visited Iasonos Suites during the end of March. My experience there was perfect and thus I highly recommend it. The room was very clean, and had everything we required, tv with Netflix and YouTube, the bed was super comfortable, and I loved the view. The people there were so friendly and helpful. They provided us with all the info we needed to enjoy our 5 days stay in beautiful Athens. My favourite spot, apart from the room, was the roof top where you could relax and enjoy the stunning view of one of the nicest graffiti in town and of course Acropolis. The rooms are equipped with kettle, ac, coffee machine and a nice shower. I will visit them again in June for business purposes, as the hotel combines proximity to metro and the city centre is within a few minutes walk.

Awful location. Taxi driver didn’t want us staying there because it was the “bordello area”. This was confirmed by the front desk staff. Had to stay one night and then move elsewhere The hotel is nice though and the front desk lady very helpful

Around the 8th of August we were charged £278 on one of our Visa payment cards by this HOTEL. We have NOT booked or even looked at this place. On a lot of web sites it is listed as closed including google maps. I believe it may have re-opened as IOSONOS SUITES, check out their website! ALL I CAN SAY AS SOMEHOW I HAVE BEEN HACKED WHILST LOOKING FOR ACCOMADATION IN ATHENS AND, NOW MY HUSBAND & I, HAVE BECOME VICTIMS OF FRAUD.

The Acropolis hotel was booked as part of a pre cruise package 2 years ago. The taxi driver picked us up at the airport and took us to the address on our voucher. The property was in total darkness in a a dark dingy side street. On the outside it had Iasonos Suites. We phoned the emergency number on our voucher and the man said he didn't know what we was talking about. At that point a man came through the property doors and we asked him if he knew where the hotel was...he said it hasn't been there for about 2 1/2 years and gave us a card with a telephone number on for Iasonos Suites. Our taxi driver phoned the number who agreed with what the man had said but our rooms were still reserved for us. It seems our cruise company hadn't been informed we needed pass codes to enter the building and passcodes to get in our rooms. The facilities that are advertised are no longer in use...breakfast area, bar and restaurant, spa pool, 24 hour reception as well as a whole lot of other facilities. Luckily the rooms were clean, the bed was comfy and there were towels provided. The area surrounding was extremely noisy, people shouting and motor bikes tearing up and down through the night. Next morning when we opened our curtains it was like a war zone....dilapidated buildings full of graffiti, rubbish everywhere. Its about 20 mins walk into Athens central, but you can jump on the hop on hop off bus nearby. I personally wouldn't recommend staying there at all, but i suppose for one night its possible if there wasn't anywhere else to stay.

Terrible place, that’s the reason is always cheap. It is located in an area full of junkies in Athens. The hotel locks the main entrance door during day time - that does tell you something. Reasonably central, they didn’t lie about that but you wouldn’t want to walk there. Rooms are basic, although clean, Wi-Fi so so. I spent an hour in the room and found a better place. Of course hotel didn’t offer any compensation.

We really liked this hotel and we’re shocked to read the previous guest review The area is interesting and a nice change for the over touristy areas . Lots of local eateries nearbye and very easy to access all areas of Athens via the metro. It was a 29min walk to the Plaka . Rooms were great - clean and modern and exactly like the pictures. New bathrooms, big desk, fridge - perfect The large rooftop area had a terrific view of the Acropolis and we had drinks there every night (BYO ) Staff were super helpful and even made sure we had ice for our rooftop drinks. My only small criticisms were that the taps in the bathroom were hard to work out and some of the fittings needed to be fixed. The hotel was great value for money
