Hotel Lido Bewertungen

I booked a week at Hotel Lido but it was so bad I checked out a day early. The location is central but the area is dreadful - the balcony overlooked homeless injecting ***** openly in the street , trash bins and some kind of sweatshop in the building opposite, oh and the Indian restaurant plays Bhangra music til 2am. The room - dirty. When I saw the Cockroaches I took photos. The receptionist blamed me for eating in the room. I told her I didn’t eat in the room. She then blamed me for leaving the balcony door open. She said the rooms are ‘cleaned’ everyday , NO , all the chambermaid does is leave towels and makes the bed. The same long black hairs and bits on the floor , the blood where I killed the cockroach etc etc were there all my stay. However other reviews said about ‘insects’ so evidently cockroaches are a problem. She definitely needs some customer service training- shouting at the guests checking in - she is in the wrong job. Btw… On the website they have faked a roof terrace. THERE IS NO ROOF TERRACE! If this sounds like the hotel for you then great ! You’ll have a bargain stay in Athens ! I have stayed in hostels that are cleaner (without cockroaches) … I wish I had spent a few more €’s , listened to the other reviews and stayed elsewhere. Ecomony should never mean dirty. For my last night in Athens I booked into a lovely hotel without the ‘insects’ because I wanted to get this awful place out of my head and end my visit on a positive.
