🚗 Verkehr: In Bezug auf den Verkehr, da Assuan nicht sehr groß ist, ist es sehr bequem, überall hinzufahren.Der Nil ist besonders schön, wenn das Wetter schön ist. 🧹Hygiene: Das Hotel wird hygienisch sehr aktiv gereinigt, es fühlt sich überall sehr hochwertig an und es gibt keinen Müll. Nirgendwo ist es schmutzig. 🍃Umgebung: Unnötig zu erwähnen, dass die Umgebung sehr angenehm ist. Die Kellner sind sehr engagiert. Sie tragen Smoking, wenn das Wetter sehr heiß ist. Die Serviceeinstellung ist sehr gut. Grundsätzlich kommen sie oft, um Sie zu begrüßen. Was brauchen Sie? 🔔 Service: alles einfach perfekt super

Ein 5 Sterne-Mövenpick-Hotel weckt große Erwartungen, welche leider nur teilweise erfüllt wurden. Meine vor Reiseantritt eingereichte E-Mailanfrage zur Organisation eines Taxi-Shuttles vom Flughafen und zur Möglichkeit eines vorgezogenen check-in (Landung in Assuan um 07.40 Uhr) blieb leider unbeantwortet. Gebucht hatte ich ein Superior-Zimmer mit direktem Nilblick, zugeteilt wurde mir zunächst ein Zimmer im alten Haupthaus mit direktem Blick auf die benachbarte Baustelle südlich des Turms. Nach Reklamation dann Zimmerwechsel in den Altbauseitentrakt mit schönem Blick auf Kitchener-Insel und Felsgräber. Dieser Trakt ist aus meiner Sicht der beste und ”ruhigste” der gesamten Anlage, sofern man überhaupt von Ruhe sprechen kann. Die altersschwachen Balkontüren vermögen es kaum, Geräusche von außen abzumildern, so dass man den Eindruck hat, unter freiem Himmel zu schlafen. Ausflugs- und Partyboote mit teilweise lauter Musik kreuzen bis tief in die Nacht (3.00 Uhr morgens) vor der Hotelanlage. Gegen 04.30 Uhr ertönt dann der erste Muezzinruf und ab 05.30 Uhr ist mit ersten aufbrechenden Hotelgästen zu rechnen. Die Nachtruhe ist also regelhaft empfindlich gestört. Überhaupt wird das Hotel überwiegend von Reisegruppen unterschiedlicher Nationalität gebucht, welche offensichtlich nur 1-2 Nächte vor Ort sind, es herrscht also ein ständiges Kommen und Gehen einschließlich umfangreicher Gepäcktransporte. Insbesondere das Barpersonal im alten Trakt ist mit diesem Ansturm regelhaft überfordert, hier kam es zu deutlichen Servicemängeln. Über die Performance der allabendlich in der Bar auftretenden Musikgruppe mit identischem Programm kann man geteilter Meinung sein. Der alte Bautrakt mit seinem historischem Charme erscheint mir attraktiver als der unterkühlte und durchgestylte Neubau, allerdings sollten die Altbauzimmer und öffentlichen Räume dringend umfassend renoviert werden. Insbesondere sind der alte verdreckte Teppichboden, die fleckigen und wackeligen Lampen, die angegrauten Gardinen und verkratzten Möbel nicht akzeptabel. Das riesige Buffetrestaurant vermittelt eine gewisse Bahnhofshallenstimmung, das Panoramarestaurant im Turm ist angenehmer gestaltet. Positiv aufgefallen sind: Die entspannte Atmosphäre und der exzellente Service am Pool, die gepflegte und sehr großzügige Gartenanlage, das freundliche und bemühte Personal, die umfangreichen Buffets einschl. guter Hygienestandards, der rund um die Uhr funktionierende Bootstransfer zur Stadt. Fazit: Wer keine großen Erwartungen an elegantes Interieur, individuelle Betreuung und insbesondere Ruhe hat, kann in dieser Hotelanlage einen akzeptablen Urlaub verbringen.

This hotel is located in downtown Aswan close to everything. We were in one of their suite rooms that had 2 rooms inside with a bathroom with a huge jacuzzi. The staff was friendly. Check in was easy and the breakfast was excellent. We had the amazing view of the nile river and the city. Will surely stay here again when we come to Aswan

I really loved this hotel. The view from my room (5th floor) over Aswan, the cataract, Elephantine Island, Aga Khan monument, was breathtaking. As the hotel is on a hill, I cannot imagine any other hotel offering views like that. The rooms are very clean, though a bit dated, and large, with a balcony. Very generous outdoor grounds, nice swimming pool and a perfect breakfast buffet. Nice little shopping center with very good prices for souvenirs. All in all - a hotel I would like to return to.

Das Hotel hat im Oktober 2019 als Management eine Namensänderung durchlaufen. Wir haben in einem der drei Zimmer in der Nähe des Pools geblieben, was es sehr bequem machte, die Terrasse, den Pool zu erreichen und die Übersicht über den Nilen zu schätzen. Die Einrichtungen sind sehr schön und gut gepflegt. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig mit ein paar Dinge zu verbessern, Die Dusche musste unschließbar, da es fast überflutet und die AC war inoperativ, dankbar Zeit in der Nacht im März und es war nicht erforderlich, und auch Lärm war ein Problem In der Nacht, da die Menschen in der Poolzone bis spät Stunden erlaubt sind. Das Personal war sehr Gastfreundschaft und half uns, eine Reise nach Luxor mit einem Halt in ein paar Tempeln zu planen.

Not a luxury hotel by any means but a good sized room and bathroom, with everything working well in the bathroom. The room was a bit spartan in decor, but many of the views are just superb. The hotel is high on a hill at the south end of Aswan. Thus, it has a great view up the Nile and over the rest of the city. Breakfast is available here and at the related hotel next door just down the hill. Because the hours started earlier at the latter, that's where I ate. It was good, fairly standard breakfast buffet. The desk staff was friendly. You will hear the call to prayer from a nearby mosque, sometimes before 5am. The hotel is quite close to the Nubian Museum. Cabs are inexpensive here, but I walked to restaurants about 10 minutes away, again on the southern side of the city. It is a longer hike though if you want to get to central Aswan, but on a short stay I had no reason to go there. At not quite $100/night I think it was a good deal.

I arrived from Luxor after staying at the Luxor Pyramisa Hotel and I have to say this place is sooooo much better!! Not just the location or the size of this place but the most important thing was that all members of staff are really friendly, welcoming and always smiling, greeting you when you walk past. A few members stood out very well to me, who are Carlos & Christine from guest relations, who are really friendly and made sure that I had everything I needed and my stay was pleasant. They also sent a complimentary drink to the pool when they saw i was taking a swim. I think these guys definitely deserve a reward!! Mostafa and Ahmed from the taxi/souvenir shop booked a few taxis with them and also an excursion to the Nubial village. Good prices and the taxi were always on time and waiting for me. Finally, I can't forget Faisal, the lifeguard/swimming pool guy. Very friendly, and as soon as he knew I couldn't swim that well, I decided to give me a couple of hours of lessons! a shame. I only went to the pool once on my last day at the hotel. But in general all staff are great but these guys are the ones who I spoke with on a daily basis while staying at the hotel. The hotel, in general, is kept in immaculate condition. The gardens are nice and green and perfect for an evening walk. It's on an island, so no one to haggle you outside and the crossing is free, runs 24hrs, every 20/30mins. Rooms are a bit old but you have to remember we are not in New York or London and in fact very south of the country where its remote and for the price its a good deal!! Views are good, and sunset and sunrise while crossing on the boat to mainland is a view for sure!! I had half board so that was breakfast and dinner on a buffet service. Good selection of hot and cold food at both times. Can't say anything bad. Drinks are extra and the fresh juices are great! Will definitely be staying here again for a longer time when I visit next time!!

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Nil. Der Preis ist günstig, die Zimmer sind komfortabel und der Besitzer und das Personal sind sehr gastfreundlich. Es ist eine gute Wahl, hier zu übernachten, wenn Sie nach Assuan kommen!

Pros The hotel facilities were absolutely beautiful with an amazing view. Traditional Nubian style house. Every corner makes you want to capture the space. We had a rocky start but the hotel staff tried to redeem themselves. We lost an apple watch which the hotel helped us get back ASAP before we reached Luxor. We are grateful for this. Cons Awful communication and hospitality. We were the only guests in the entire resort because of low season but still received shitty service. The hotel is in a secluded place making it difficult to reach.It’s on top of a mountain on a dusty rocky road. The hotel offers a tuktuk. We did our research prior and contacted the hotel to arrange getting to the hotel from the village and check in since we knew we’d land in the AMs. We were ignored. We arrived at the village meeting point at 1:45 but only ended up getting to our rooms around 3:50am because reaching the hotel via call and WhatsApp was so difficult. The staff had no sense of urgency. We were frustrated and anxious in this wellness resort. Our taxi driver refused to take us up the mountain and the tuktuk refused to take us because of our many bags (which is understandable). I’m very disappointed in the service and I know the staff has lots of potential to improve on their service delivery. The hotel needs to be more cognisant of their customer service and guests hospitality. Staying here was stressful. Recommended if you want aesthetic vibes,a beautiful picturesque hotel with good breakfast. Don’t recommend if you prioritise great guest services, comfortability and peace.

Das Hotel hat eine wunderschöne Umgebung und eine wunderschöne Dekoration! Die Bettwäsche ist sehr bequem! Das angebotene Frühstück besteht ausschließlich aus kalorienarmen und gesunden Lebensmitteln und das Personal ist sehr freundlich! Sie nutzen Batteriewagen, um Gäste und Gepäck bis zur Tür zu transportieren, was sehr praktisch ist, ich werde es meinen Freunden empfehlen.
