Ruthliz assisted us to get a ferry ticket when we could not get one on the day we needed to return from Savai’i to Upolu. She was amazing in this regard and we really appreciated that. Otherwise this was the worst place. First off I had booked and paid months in advance for a two bedroom, comfort villa. When I got to Upolu and meet with Ruthliz she advised that they had bought the accommodation from the previous owner and did not have my booking so I had to pay more money for a room that was way inferior to the one I had arranged. I had hoped for a place with cooking and washing facilities in the room, but the room we got had communal cooking and washing facilities and the washing machine did not work so I had to go to a laundromat in the end to get my washing done. The room we got at least had an electric frying pan and a rice cooker so we were able to use those to cook, but the microwave did not work. By the time we realised this we were over it. The paint was bubbling on the walls and the bathroom was horrible. I would not have stayed there if I had a choice, but finding out when you arrive that your booking was not transferred left us in a tough spot. Again I am truly grateful that Ruthliz arranged the ferry ticket for us, but the accommodation left a whole lot to be desired and was not what I would have chosen in other circumstances. I am not sure about the other properties the new owners run, but do not stay at this one.
