Residenza Pansa B&B

Charming, small hotel, right in the middle of Amalfi, very convenient for the main square and port area. It is only possible to reach it on foot up two fairly steep flights of steps. However, parking and porters for suitcases is organised by the hotel and everything worked just fine for us. A very helpful lady greeted us and showed us to our room with a small balcony and sie view towards the sea. Breakfast is served in the main square via a voucher and is very good. Bathroom a little on the small side but had everything you require and the bedroom was a decent size with excellent shutters to ensure darkness for sleeping and quietness from the road below.

We really enjoyed this property. Our room was spacious and had a really nice balcony with a partial sea view. The location is absolutely perfect - very close to the Duomo and right in the middle of all the charm of the old town. Everyone was very friendly - we received great directions at check-in to all the activities that interested us. Breakfast is served at a separate property, but it's only a 2 or 3 minute walk, plus we had a breakfast table right in front of the Duomo! Highly recommended.

This is our first stay at this charming B&B. We had a 5 night stay in mid April. The weather is rather cool this time of year, upper 50’s to low 60’s with periods of rain. I am extremely pleased with the decision to stay here having only seen the B&B online. However the visit was nothing short of what I’d expect from a stay on the Amalfi coast. Rooms are average size, some with ocean views. Staff is very friendly and speaks English. Cleanliness is a 10+ with rooms cleaned daily by the nicest lady. Her attention to detail is amazing. There are about 75 stairs to climb to reach the lobby, but anyone in average health can manage unless you are physically challenged. Once you’re checked in the dining opportunities and places to see are endless. This town is to be savored slowly as it’s very special. Bus loads of tourists come and go but they’re usually gone by mid to late afternoon. We canceled our rental car and took a taxi from Naples airport to get here for $150. Good choice as a car isn’t necessary and parking is $35/day. There are buses to Amalfi from Sorrento and Salerno. There are also ferries coming/going to many nearby towns, including Positano and Capri

A pleasant stay at Residenza Pansa!! Susy & Noemi at Reception were very friendly and helpful. The Room was comfortable with a terrace and partial seaview. It does have many steps to the Hotel but was aware of this when booking the accommodation.

Great location for this lovely hotel. Hotel room was perfect for what we needed with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the sea and great sun loungers. Very clean. The two ladies on the front desk were super helpful and very lovely. Could not do enough for us giving us all the information and even going to the restaurant to get us milk - thank you. The hotel is in the middle of Amalfi town so a perfect location however it is up a set of maybe 60 steps so bear this in mind if you struggle with steps. Would definitely go back !

Very stylish small hotel close to the waterfront & main piazza in Amalfi. Very helpful receptionists, clean comfortable room with terrace (some have views to the waterfront). Voucher for a Lovely breakfast at a restaurant in the piazza below across from the Duomo.

The location of this B&B is perfect, just a 2 min walk from the main square and 5 min to the beach&port. There’s 2 sets of stairs to get to the B&B but we managed fine with 3 cases. The room was clean and spacious and the terrace was beautiful with a sea view. The staff are very friendly and helpful and you get discount in their restaurant in the main square (it’s the one with the best views and a great menu, as seen in the pic)

We stayed at Residenza Pansa middle of last month 16th & 17th July 2022 for 2 nights. Loved the location as it’s so close to the Duomo square which was ideal! Some of the reviewers have mentioned a lot of steps which is absolutely correct & anyone with mobility issues will struggle to get to Pansa. If you want to stay here you will need to book early as it’s a small place & gets fully booked months in advance. The website says B&B but there is no restaurant at the location. The owner has a restaurant in the square where you can get meals at a discounted rate. We had already read about it on Tripadvisor so were fine with it. If you contact Pansa they will get back to you with whatever information you require. Receptionist was always very helpful & polite. Porter service is available & they will carry your bags from the car up to Pansa but reception need to be informed ahead of time. Pansa can also arrange valet parking through a third party who will keep the keys as location is not close & charge €30 a day but remember that they take only cash. Once again this needs to be arranged with reception in advance. Towels are changed everyday & toiletries are provided. We had booked a superior room with a partial view. This was the only thing that was slightly disappointing as view of the sea wasn’t what I expected. I think I would stay here again just for the location.

My wife and I stayed here for three days in October 2021. The place describes itself as a bed and breakfast. it is not. Perhaps pre-covid it was but now they give a card to use a restaurant on the plaza for a 30% discount. the communication via email with the hotel was excellent since our arrival time kept changing they accomodated us. we were dropped off of the main plaza and were met by Roberto. Who didnt introduce himself; we assume he was the proprietor? He arrranged a porter service to get our bags up to the hotel; as with most amalfi there are stairs, lots of stairs. it says this on its website so they are up front about this. the two staff at the hotel were nice and professional. housekeeping is very good; the place was very clean. The room is basic and comfortable. we had a large terrace with a partial view of the water which was nice. the room was quiet. we were out late one night and felt safe; we are older couple. there was a problem with the lock on the outside door the whole time we were there and they kept saying it would be fixed. it took us ten minutes one night in the rain to finally get it open. hopefully, they have addressed that problem the price was competitive with other hotels; if we went back we'd probably try a different place since we were specifically looking for a bnb. over all its a nice small inn with six rooms.
