"Ich hatte einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt hier. Es ist eine solide Wahl, wenn Sie auf der Suche nach einer zuverlässigen und erschwinglichen Basis in der Umgebung. Der Preis ist sehr vernünftig, und das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Einrichtungen sind gut gepflegt und bieten alles, was Sie für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigen. Das Hotel selbst ist großartig, aber bitte beachten Sie, dass die Lage eine gewisse Planung erfordert. Es ist ein wenig von der Bahnhofsstation und dem Schloss Alnwick entfernt. Der öffentliche Verkehr (Busse) in diesem Bereich ist sehr begrenzt und selten. Ich empfehle sehr, die Zeitpläne im Voraus zu überprüfen und viel Zeit zu verlassen, um sicherzustellen, dass Sie Ihre Verbindungen nicht verpassen."

"As a regular traveller and user of many types of hotel and / or hotel / BnB I must say that The standard of decor and cleanliness was the worst I have encountered. Wallpaper was hanging off / earth wires in the bathroom were exposed. Towels were dirty with rust on them. All the walls were marked / dirty or chipped. The bedroom carpet in room 30 was SO dirty we could smell the dust. Bedroom lights did not work. Halls and stairs were dirty with wallpaper hanging loose and dirty. Stair carpets were so dirty they smelt. Stud walls were hanging loose. All ceilings had dirty marks… I could go on and on and only hope that this review initiates improvements or prevents others from booking. We did not eat here due to the poor first impressions however the staff seemed happy and welcoming."

"Really enjoyed my first stay. Staff were very pleasent. Breakfast was pleantiful and well presented. You must have your own transport as there were no buses. There's too much of a long walk into Alnwick by the A1 mortorway. That's not very pleasent or safe. The only issue I had was with the awlful television (It certainly needs updating) in the Cart Shed accommodation. The hand controller was useless."

"The hotel is located in a seaside town and within 10 minutes walk to the beach. A superb hotel or can be understood as a homestay: downstairs is a restaurant, dinner is eaten at his house, it tastes good; there are 7 rooms upstairs, the layout is very comfortable, especially like the linen carpet of his house. It is worth staying!"

"Arrived late afternoon and hungry. The manager recommended the pork belly Sunday roast and I was not disappointed 😍 room was good for the price. Bed very comfy and easy access to car when I needed to unpack later after arrival and dinner. Car park entrance is a great challenge for all drivers which I passed. Thank you for the hospitality"

"We liked this guest-house and the welcoming Jo, and would return any day. The room was comfortable, and overlooked the pretty street, and the place is extremely convenient for the castle and the town's amenities and sights. There are bus-stops right outside, so we got to the likes of Seahouses (boat to the Farne Islands), Warkworth (castle and ancient hermitage) and Alnmouth (beautiful estuary and nice pubs) on different days, all fantastic; and there's a peaceful and civilised micropub, the Ale Gate, right next door, with some wonderful beer in it. Some larger people might say that our room's bathroom was a little compact, but we found this no problem; and the whole set-up suited us perfectly. They don't do breakfast, but there are good places nearby for this, not least the amazing Barter Books, to which we'll be allocating a whole day on our next visit to Alnwick. A marvellous stay which will remain long in the memory."
