Alles war großartig. Schönes Zimmer. Badewanne hatte etwas Schicht um sie herum, aber andere als das Zimmer war großartig.

I have stayed in other hotels near Pittsburgh airport before and for the shuttle bus alone, Hyatt Place kicks butt and I can highly recommend it. Regarding the room, it's a forgettable random U.S. airport hotel; the room was ok but nothing remarkable. Regarding breakfast, the only thing I ate were the fruits because the rest did not look particularly inviting. But that was not the highlight of the stay. Despite this being a run-of-the-mill airport hotel, there was one unique feature worthy of mentioning - the shuttle from the airport. I saw on their website ”free shuttle” so upon arrival I called the hotel and asked where to go for pick-up. They asked for my phone number and informed me that I would receive a link with instructions - they were ordering a Lyft ride themselves on my behalf. Because my Lyft account was linked to my phone number I could also open the app and see where the driver was although it would not be a necessity for a guest to have a Lyft account and app. It was probably the nicest hotel airport shuttle bus I have ever seen, well... because it's not a bus! It's not exactly close either, about 8km from the airport and I noticed in Lyft that the ride cost about $30 so $60 round-trip. That is great for guests, but I am less sure about the hotel, how can they make money if they pay this out of pocket? I took Lyft both ways, to and from the airport. Hyatt Place has similarly mediocre rooms as other hotels near PIT airport but the shuttle makes the entire stay smoother so I would return in a heartbeat.

I always start a review with the positives. I also don't like to be part of the problem but part of the solution and try to always offer helpful suggestions if I make a valid complaint. That said... The room at the Holiday Inn PIT Airport was PRETTY clean. I saw dark, long hairs on the bathroom floor (my hair is short and blonde,) and in the tub which led me to think the bathroom wasn't clean. However, the toilet and sink were seemingly wiped down and plenty of towels were accessible. The beds are comfy, the rooms are large, and we appreciate the outdoor pool in the warmer months. My husband and I stay here quite often, as many as 4 times a year or more, often with a multi-night stay, and we enjoy using the pool. The location for us is convenient to restaurants, shopping and the airport. Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport in general meets our needs. The breakfast is very good. Lots of a variety of hot foods and coffee. The waitstaff is always helpful in bringing out supplies, refilling coffee, hot food, a ”to go” bag if needed, etc. That all said, there is this very heavy set MEAN blonde lady with glasses that makes us cower and cringe each time we enter the hotel. We DON'T want to ask her for anything as she ALWAYS makes us feel like we are BOTHERING her. She seems to work the day shift, from early morning til 3 p.m. or so, as we have noticed and we try to make my requests and ask questions AFTER she is gone for the day. How ridiculous is this?!! Case in point: During one particular stay, I asked for more bars of soap for our room. I prefer bar soap. I shouldn't have to feel ”sheepish” about asking. They are mini and not full-sized bars of soap. We usually stay an average of 3 nights when we come to town and the hubs and i prefer bar soap to the bodywash and need more than one teensy bar for the two of us between the shower and sink for 3 days of usage. Get this one....She told us to use the bodywash in the containers on the shower wall and asked us if we had checked to see if the container of body wash was full!!!?? She seems to like to provoke an ARGUMENT! Then she preceded to tell us how she was instructed to hand out the minimum as in the case of the soap. I was thinking: ” Lady, please just open the drawer behind you and give us the dang soap!!” It's NOT a difficult request. I'm thinking: What happened to the old adage, ”The customer is always right?” The staff certainly should not ARGUE with the customer. A hotel front desk clerk works in the hospitality business and should provide the customer with ”hassle free” service. NOT! We don't ask for much. We don't ask for the room to be serviced with fresh towels, etc. during our usual 2 to 3 night stay. Was asking for mini bars of soap too difficult of a request? Today in our hotel room, I went to wash my hands after leftovers from an early lunch (around 11:00 a.m.,) to find that there was NO WATER. It had obviously been shut off. Why? We called the front desk to find out what happene

Als Mitglied des Goldenen Bonvoy versuche ich, so weit wie möglich in Marriott Eigenschaften zu bleiben. Da ich am nächsten Morgen einen frühen Flug aus PIT hatte, habe ich dieses Hotel gewählt, um zu bleiben. Aufgrund einer Verletzung, die ich vor dem Einchecken erhalten habe, habe ich den Front Desk gebeten, sie zu fragen, ob sie mich entweder für einen näheren Lobbyraum oder für eine Person mit Behinderungen zu bestellen. Sie konnten mir die Menschen mit Behinderungen Zimmer, Zimmer 155 geben, die einen Spaziergang in der Dusche hatte. Die Wassertemperatur war gut, und zum größten Teil war das Zimmer eine komfortable Temperatur. Die Betten waren komfortable, und alles funktionierte gut. Das ist der Ort, an dem der gute Teil des Hotels endete. Der Grund für die beiden Punkte Dock war das Front Desk “Supervisor” Dianne. Sie hatte ein HUGE Einstellungsproblem, erkannte mich nie als Gold Bonvoy-Mitglied an, und als ich später aufforderte, den Namen des nahe gelegenen Pizzaplatzes zu erhalten, schien sie die Gespräche mit einer Schneid-Einstellung zu beschleunigen. Vor der Einreichung einer förmlichen Beschwerde beim Bonvoy Kundenservice hatte meine Verlobte die Geschäftskarte des Hotelmanagers erhalten. Ich habe mit dem Assistenten Manager Andreal per E-Mail gesprochen, und er hat mich für die Probleme mit Dianne ausgeglichen und sagte, er würde sich um die Probleme kümmern, die ich mit Dianne hatte. Würde ich noch einmal dort bleiben? Wahrscheinlich, aber nicht, wenn Dianne am Frontdesk arbeitet.

Es ist kostengünstig, zum Flughafen zu fahren, um einen Morgenflug zu nehmen und hier zu übernachten, und der Flughafen-Shuttleservice ist sehr praktisch. Wir gingen abends zum nahe gelegenen Wal-Mart-Supermarkt und der Sonnenuntergang war spektakulär.

Mein Flug wurde abgebrochen und ich war drei Stunden von zu Hause, so dass der Flughafen Pittsburgh/United Airlines ein Shuttle zu diesem Hotel und Gutscheinzahlungen lieferte. Ich traf einen harten Büro-Gewerkschaftsmitglied, aber Herr PATEL hat die Situation richtig gemacht. Er ist ein sehr nettes Mann, und so ist seine Frau. Wenn Sie Probleme haben, werden sie sie richtig machen. Ich würde hier wieder bleiben. Und das Bett ist sauber und komfortabel.

Das Zimmer war schön und sauber, die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück bei 4am war besonders schön der Kaffee. Shuttleservice rechtzeitig zum Flughafen. Es ist wert, hier die Nacht zu bleiben, wenn Sie einen frühen Morgenflug haben, nimmt den Stress aus dem Fahren auf 3am
