Cantinho do Mar

This block of holiday apartments is just a 15 mins walk from the beach and 20mins from the square in Albuferia old town. The site manager, Victor is a most pleasant and welcoming host and responded to our every need. We found the apartment to be clean, tidy and comfortable. It may not be the most modern but doesn't suffer as a result. The pool is excellent and was properly maintained every morning before the sun came up. What's not to like?

Stayed here for a second time in September. We were last here 5 years ago, late check in very easy and straightforward. We were in apartment 103, big and spacious with everything we needed. Air con in the bedroom was great. Apartment was well managed and cleaned daily with new towels every couple of days. There is a lovely pool that we used twice, plenty of sunbeds and never too busy. Viktor the owner is a gentleman and so helpful. These apartments are also in a great location. They are between the old and new town. There is also a shopping centre nearby with a large grocery shop. We will definately be back again. Thank you Viktor.

I booked this after seeing the good reviews it had. And it all went downhill from that. We arrived late, very hard to find because it isn’t on the maps. When we got in there was no one to greet us, the place was in pure darkness. Got our keys and let ourselves in, the bedsheets were filthy! The tv didn’t work, the mattress was like a brick. The bathroom door handle was broke. There was a dirty towel left in the bath, cracks in the sink, toilet was leaking water. The shower was a shower head of Amazon and was covered in mouled. There’s no bar or cafe or bar snacks anywere lol just a pool with about 10 sunbeds and I didn’t see the pool being cleaned once our entire stay, not to mention towels arnt changed unless you stay for more than 7 days and there changed 4 days in?!! No thank you will not be returning and to anyone that doesn’t want to feel like they need a bleach bath after their holiday avoid at all costs.

The location and facilities are good nothing to complain about but the manager vitor and his assosiate are two of the most unwelcoming,unhelpful, stuck up, ignorant fools ive ever come across. Upon arival we werent greeted instead we were lectured about behavior and asked for a 400€ deposit, to which we were giving back at the end. But they were not happy to give us back this deposit and it was like we were walking on eggshells the whole time. When checking out we werent spoken 10 words to and when checking the room that we left spotless they were reluctant and shook their heads. No goodbye no thank you for staying was giving and i will not he returning here because of this

Just finished a three week holiday here and it is a lovely place very well stocked apartment and very spacious.The owners were very nice there is a supermarket and restaurants about 2 minutes walk.The swimming pool is clean and a nice area to relax I will be back

Great place with very big room and great furniture and utensils also very welcoming. I emailed the hotel beforehand asking for the highest floor possible and they organised it for us with the top floor and open balcony. The man at reception was very nice and welcoming and showed us all the best activities that are around albufeira. Definitely will be booking here again when I come back to albufeira, very good value for money.
