I made a booking for Luce among hotels I booked across Istanbul, Capadoccia, Alacati/Cesme and then again Istanbul on ********** earlier today. While all the hotels were refundable as I need to get stitches from a surgery removed day after before I can get the green signal to travel from the doc, by mistake I made the Luce booking as a non refundable one. I called both ********** and Luce within 2 hours as soon as I realised my mistake on seeing the email. And on Hotel Luce’s request, also sent them an email explaining the issue and my request (and can share medical proof if they would like). Somehow I got the feeling my money is not coming back, it was just the way in which my calls got transferred, and I so hope I am wrong. I am writing this review in the hope that both these highly rated organisations will be able to take notice and get my booking cancelled with full refund, for what was an honest mistake, which was identified immediately. With the ratings that this hotel has on Trip Advisor I am hoping they would indeed look to make customer service a delight and focus on treating their users as they would like to be treated themselves if they were in our shoes :)
