Das Hotel Marad ist ein großartiges kleines Hotel, nur weit genug von Neapel, um eine entspannte, kleine und freundliche Atmosphäre zu haben. Wir haben dieses Hotel für 4 Tage als Basis genutzt, um das Gebiet ein wenig zu erkunden und hatten Tage in Neapel und Pompei. Das Hotel ist eine 10-12 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bahnhof, der den Zugang zu den oben genannten Schlüsselpositionen wirklich einfach macht, plus Herculaneum, Sorrento und darüber hinaus, und die Häfen in Neapel für Boote zu den Inseln usw. Ein Taxi nach Neapel ist ca. 45 €, so dass es nicht exotische ist. Das Hotel ist freundlich mit sehr hilfsbereitem Personal und ein gut gepflegter Pool, der selten überbeschäftigt wurde. Das Zimmer war bequem genug (auch mit einem Doppel- und zwei Einzelpersonen), gut gepflegt und der Balkon ist angemessen groß. Trotz all unserer Taschen hat das Reinigungsteam eine wirklich gute Arbeit gemacht, um es unter Kontrolle zu halten. Obwohl wir ein paar Mal essen, serviert das Hotelrestaurant gute Qualität zu vertretbaren Preisen und das Warteteam ist hervorragend. Es gibt eine sehr coole Dachbar, die überraschende Aussichten auf das Meer und bis zum Vesuvius hat. Nicht viele negatives hier überhaupt, nur dass das Frühstück nicht den Rest des Marad’s Angebot passt. Aber es ist ok genug. Schließlich ist es wert, die lokale Stadt (Torre del Grecco) zu erkunden, die einige sehr gute Restaurants und, wenn Sie Kinder haben, ein paar gute Strandclubs, wo Sie am Tag mit den Kommunen Camping finden können. Es fühlt sich so, als ob dieser Bereich erst jetzt wirklich für Touristen offen ist und es eine große Basis bildet.

The location of the hotel is twofold - not in a very tidy area, but that's not the hotel's fault, but it is only a 10 minute walk to the port to catch a ferry to the Isle of Capri and there is a supermarket (with alcohol) just around the corner). It's a large hotel, with a huge foyer/lobby, which houses the reception area, a lounge (with a large TV), a bar and two central lifts - two lifts in a hotel; what a bonus!! The total area had retro furniture, but it was a little sterile, perhaps too cavernous and the bar was only open for limited hours. Notwithstanding that, the accommodation was good. A large room, comfortable bed, good shower, although perhaps the bathroom was a little small in proportion to the room, air con, safe, fridge and free wi-fi. No complaints whatsoever. The breakfast room/restaurant is on the top floor with a great view over the port and the Tyrrhenian Sea and on a clear day, you can sea Capri. It is an enormous room with some very large, round tables, which is great for a group of people to converse with each other, but with 14 and 30 seats respectively, perhaps just too big. Breakfast was good for cold options, although no orange juice or decent bread for toast. Our tour included dinner in the restaurant as well and that too, was very reasonable. All in all, a good stay for two nights.
