Das Hotel war in Ordnung. Das Bett war für westliche Verhältnisse etwas hart, aber alles war sehr sauber. Ich kann gar nicht genug Gutes über Herrn Micheal Chen sagen, dessen Englisch außergewöhnlich und seine Höflichkeit unglaublich waren. Er half uns sogar, unsere Fährtickets nach Gulangyu zu buchen! Wenn Sie ihn treffen, fragen Sie nach Fawlty Towers! 🤣 Das Gleiche kann man von einer Dame, die am Frühstücksbuffet arbeitete, nicht sagen. Ich bekam einen Teller Brot zum Teilen und mir wurde gesagt, wenn ich Brot so sehr mag, dann verkaufen sie es!!!! Es kam mir so vor, als würde sie uns jedes Mal mustern, wenn wir etwas essen gingen. Ich bezweifle, dass sie das zu irgendjemandem mit einem Teller voller Knödel sagte. Wir fühlten uns jedes Mal unwohl, wenn wir danach zum Frühstück gingen, und das ist kein Zeichen für ein gutes Hotel. Ich werde nicht nach Xiamen zurückkehren, aber wegen ihr würde ich, wenn ich es täte, ein anderes Hotel wählen.

Had a wonderful stay with my small family at Xiamen Swiss Grand. The check in was very quick and the receptionist was so kind and tried to use English with us even though we can speak Chinese 😍. All their staff were so professional starting from the hotel car boy till the Ayi. Hygiene is so great. Room was very spacious with fantastic sea view. Not to forget the mouthwatering breakfast: OMG so many varieties especially western, we enjoyed the pastries most. All amenities are available here even kids can enjoy 3 hours playing for free, Yuna is the responsibile there and provided great service for the kids. Late checkout too without any disturbance to hurry up like some other hotels do. Price is affordable: you get what you pay for. It's recommended. Thank you Swiss Grand

金沙灣，在這次旅途中給了我們家一般的温暖☀🌼 帶娃出行感謝酒店營銷部盛總給升級了海景房，打開窗就是大海，幸福感滿滿，客房部送來歡迎水果看到我們有小朋友，特地給我們加了小床，送了小童拖鞋和挖沙玩具，感謝客房部霍經理和所有的服務人員，温馨周到的服務！必須要贊一下酒店的環境，房間乾淨整潔，走兩步就到沙灘和環島路，晚上的夜景也很美，早上因為天氣原因沒有看到日出，但是也感受到了晨曦之海，吃過早飯還可以去感受一下親子環島路騎行，很贊！如果下次還來廈門，金沙灣首選，因為值得奔赴！

Das Hotel hat mich überrascht. Es hat einen französischen Herrenhausstil, der mir sehr gefällt. Vor dem Check-in ergriff Kaige die Initiative, mich zu kontaktieren, um meine Check-in-Anforderungen zu bestätigen, und wertete mich zu einer Suite mit Meerblick auf, was sehr schön war. Sie waren auch sehr geduldig bei der Beantwortung meiner Fragen und kümmerten sich auch aktiv um einen längeren Check-out für mich. Vielen Dank an Veuve Clicquot für Ihren Service und Ihre Begleitung. Ich nutzte das sonnige Wetter am Morgen und machte viele Fotos im Hotelzimmer, die mir sehr gut gefallen haben. Schade nur, dass es am Nachmittag geregnet hat und ich nicht draußen fotografieren kann. Wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Xiamen komme, werde ich hier bleiben und so viel fotografieren, wie ich möchte.

Okay, but much better options exist if you have the money and book in advance. First of all, its a separate class of hotel situated within the very same Marriot (which is higher end), so consider this a class below the actual Marriot. The exit is separate, and leads mostly to nowhere, and you will most likely enter the real Marriot part of the building at first, but thankfully staff knows this is a common mistake and leads you through a small hallway of about 200m to the other reception where you will be greeted by just as professional staff. They don't include any toiletries but will deliver them swiftly to the room door if you need any, I guess its ecological, in their mind, but practically..ultimately pointless and saves no one's time and energy. The room itself is a bit of a step down from regular 4* chain hotels - the size, the leather on the furniture is torn and worn a bit, and it shows its age and class. There are similarly priced competitors within the same 1-2km range, who do a much better job, plus better view, for a few bucks more. It should be priced a bit lower in order to be a good deal and vibe for the money. Ultimately an okay hotel, no one will be disappointed, but the value to me just isn't there, and the real Marriot is in the same building, but you are getting the cheaper version of it, watered down.

The sea view is excellent, the location is near the beach. Hotel has a great range of local and international food for the breakfast buffet. The flower decorations are very well done as well. Hotel service is smooth and good. Special thanks to Fiona Yang who helped assisted us during our stay.

Die beste Wahl für ein Familienhotel mit perfektem Wohnerlebnis.In der ersten Etage befindet sich ein Outdoor-Gartenpool und in der zweiten Etage ein Outdoor-Infinity-Pool.Im Winter leider nicht geöffnet. Vom Zimmer aus haben Sie uneingeschränkten Meerblick und der Strand liegt direkt gegenüber. Jetzt sind die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel auf der Huandao Road sehr gut ausgebaut, und Sie können zum Ruijing Commercial Plaza gehen, um in der Nähe zu essen, und es gibt viele Möglichkeiten.

A little rough around the edges, particularly when it comes to service. Although, the concierge staff were pretty helpful. The restaurants are a mixed bag, the Japanese place is great. Nice views of the harbour, but a bit of a journey to most of the local attractions. Rooms are about what you'd expect from a place like this. Overall...pretty average. Could probably do better at the price point, but could definitely do worse.

Positive: The hotel is spacious, though it’s starting to show signs of age. Nonetheless, it is well-maintained and clean. The room was large and comfortable, with the staff ensuring it remained tidy throughout our stay. Its location, about 20-30 minutes from central Xiamen, makes it convenient for accessing various parts of the city. The hotel offers two large swimming pools, and the locker rooms are equipped with both dry and wet saunas. The staff were generally friendly. Negative: The exterior pool area lacks sufficient seating, making it difficult to relax by the pool, which is a significant drawback if you’re there for a vacation. The hotel’s considerable size is a downside, with only one central set of elevators, leading to long and tiresome walks down the corridors. Moreover, there are no power outlets on one side of the bed, nor are there any USB outlets. The area surrounding the hotel is rather dull, with little to offer beyond a shopping mall, a wharf, and a small stretch of beach. General: While we had a comfortable stay, this hotel is not ideal for a vacation. It’s recommended only if you specifically need to be in that location.

When we arrived at the quarry it started to rain. The luggage pickup service was done by a middle aged man who seemed like a really nice guy, however he was ill-equipped for rainy weather. We walked through the rain and the luggage was completely soaked. (No buggy except for government related service, so the man used a trolley) the hotel room seemed sparse for its price, we booked the suite with panorama view. The night view is fantastic, but the toilet is easily choked, the staff came up to unclog the toilet explained that the piping was since time ancient and therefore cannot take any tissue. Luckily we only booked one night. Also the trip booking system seemed to hold the $$ for ‘preauthtorisation’ and the hotel requires you to pay again for the actual payment. Quite a number of guests were also buffled by this arrangement. Do take note of you are paying a guarantee to trip.com or the actual hotel. Only one young male staff was very enthusiastic and helpful, the rest did not seem like they want to work here. The atmosphere at front desk was generally quite gloomy.
