As a result, trains scheduled to run between these stations will be cancelled. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

The Met office have issued yellow and amber weather warnings which will disrupt various routes on the ScotRail network. Due to these adverse weather conditions, blanket 50mph speed restrictions will be implemented from Network Rail across all ScotRail routes. Further to this, services on the following routes will be withdrawn from 12:00: Edinburgh - Fife / Perth / Dundee, Perth - Dundee / Aberdeen / Inverness, Dunblane - Perth, Inverness - Aberdeen / Wick / Thurso / Kyle of Lochalsh, West Highland Line (Helensburgh Upper - Oban, Fort William and Mallaig). Customers holding tickets for travel on Monday, 4 August, can use their tickets to travel on services today, Sunday, 3 August, Monday morning, 4 August or Tuesday, 5 August.

The Met office have issued yellow and amber weather warnings which will disrupt the Lumo network. Lumo are advising that customers do not travel between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Services will start / terminate from Newcastle. As the roads will be affected also by the storm, Lumo are unable to offer any rail replacement transport for services between Newcastle and Edinburgh. As a result, your ticket dated Monday 4 Aug 2025, will be valid for travel on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 on Lumo services only.

The Met office have issued yellow and amber weather warnings which will disrupt Caledonian Sleeper services. The advice is for passengers not to travel. Caledonian Sleeper have had to make the difficult decision to cancel services to the Highlands. Services between London Euston and Inverness / Aberdeen / Fort William will be cancelled. Caledonian Sleeper are able to operate the following services, however, due to the speed restrictions in place, the arrival times will be amended: Glasgow - London Euston - This service will now arrive at 08:15, London Euston - Glasgow - This service will now arrive at 08:30, Edinburgh - London Euston - This service will now arrive at 08:15, London Euston - Edinburgh - This service will now arrive at 08:30.

August 2025Zugbetreiber:South Western RailwayZugehörige Informationen:From Monday 28 July, Network Rail are carrying out repair works to the embankments at Crewkerne. This means trains between Exeter St Davids and London Waterloo will run non-stop between Axminster and Yeovil Junction, and not call at Crewkerne station. Rail replacement buses will run between Axminster and Yeovil Junction, calling at Crewkerne, in both directions. At present, it is expected train services will resume at Crewkerne from Monday 11 August. This is in line with a reduced temporary timetable that South Western Railway has introduced between Exeter St Davids and London Waterloo. One train will run every two hours between Exeter St Davids and London Waterloo. Journeys will take longer than normal. These timetable changes will be in place until further notice. Customer advice: If you're travelling by a replacement bus, your journey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete using this service. The car park at Crewkerne station will be reduced to facilitate the rail replacement bus service. The two accessibility parking bays will be temporarily relocated and will be directly in front of the station's main entrance.

LNER are advising that customers do not travel north of Newcastle until the end of the day. Alternative travel options will be extremely limited due to expected road closures and other train operators will also be affected. If you are travelling to and from stations south of Newcastle, please check before you travel, as trains may be subject to delay or short-notice cancellation. If you have an LNER ticket to travel dated on Monday 4 August it will be valid for travel at no extra cost up to and including Wednesday 6 August.

TransPennine Express are advising that customers do not travel as no services will run north of Carlisle / Newcastle today. TransPennine Express services WILL NOT operate on the following routes: Carlisle to Glasgow Central, in both directions, Carlisle to Edinburgh, in both directions, Newcastle to Edinburgh, in both directions. TransPennine Express services between the following routes are subject to delays and cancellations: Liverpool Lime Street to Carlisle, in both directions, Manchester Airport to Carlisle, in both directions. TransPennine Express will not be operating north of Carlisle or Newcastle today. As a result we are advising passengers do not travel. There are no trains or rail replacement buses running between Carlisle/Newcastle and Glasgow Central/Edinburgh in both directions. If you have purchased a ticket and your journey has been affected by this disruption, you can use your ticket dated Monday 4 August to travel on Tuesday 5 August at no extra cost.

Tickets to travel north of Preston dated for today, 4 August will be accepted for travel on Tuesday 5 August, at any time via the same route.

The Met office have issued yellow and amber weather warnings which will disrupt various routes on the CrossCountry network. CrossCountry are advising passengers do not travel to / from Scotland. Services will not run from Edinburgh towards Dundee / Aberdeen. After midday CrossCountry will not run services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central. CrossCountry services will be running between Edinburgh and England, subject to disruption caused by the storm. Please note CrossCountry expect these trains to be full and would advise passengers to defer travelling to Tuesday 05 August instead. Your ticket can be used at no extra cost, and without needing to amend your ticket, on CrossCountry services on Sunday 3 August and Tuesday 5 August.
