The Kuching Bau Fairy Cave, nestled in the limestone hills of Sarawak, Malaysia, is a mystical wonder. Inside, you'll find stunning stalactites, and shafts of sunlight piercing through the darkness, creating an ethereal atmosphere. The cave is named after the stalagmites and stalactites that resemble fairies and other mythical creatures. Exploring the Kuching Bau Fairy Cave promises a captivating journey into both nature and culture.Tips:Remember to wear shoes, sandals and slippers are not allow to enter. you will have to rent from them at cost of RM10.Make sure you go early to be able to adventure on it fully. its open until 4pm.Not suitable during rainy weather, plan ahead.

Serenity by the Sarawak: My Morning Escape at Kuching WaterfrontEnjoyed a lovely late morning stroll along the Sarawak River with beautiful views of the legislative assembly building. The area was quiet and relaxing with few people around - perfect for some peaceful downtime. Appreciated the benches under shady trees where you can sit and enjoy the cool river breeze. A simple but pleasant way to experience Kuching's riverside charm without crowds. Great spot for: - Leisurely walks - Quiet contemplation - Enjoying river views - Escaping the city bustle No frills, just a nice public space by the water. Ideal for travelers looking for a calm moment in between sightseeing. --- Note: Visit in morning/evening for best temperatures

Awesome. But really tiring. Should go when the weathers good or else you won't see anything except clouds at the summit.

I had a fabulous trek into Bako National Park, even though the weather didn’t fully cooperate. It was raining when I arrived, so unfortunately I didn’t get to see much wildlife along the trails but just as I made my way back to the base, I was lucky enough to spot one of Bako’s famous residents: the bearded pig!Getting there was an adventure in itself. I took a cab straight from my hotel to the Bako terminal to register. I felt super lucky because, as I arrived, I found a group of friendly strangers who had one slot left on their boat. Sharing with them saved me a lot of money, I only paid RM 40 for the round-trip boat ride instead of having to pay the full RM 200 if you don’t find anyone to share with. So if you’re planning to go solo, try to team up with other travelers at the terminal, it’s a great way to save some ringgit and meet new people!Once I got there, the rain had just stopped, so I decided to hike up Telok Pandan Besar and Telok Pandan Kecil. The first part of the trail was quite challenging, with steep slopes that really gave my legs a workout. But the views and the sense of adventure made it totally worth it.If you ever come to Kuching, I definitely recommend setting aside a day for Bako National Park. It’s such a unique place — you’ll feel like you’re stepping into another world of dense jungle, hidden beaches, and the chance to spot amazing wildlife.

The Cat Statue in Kuching is an absolute must-see. Whether you’re a cat person or just someone looking to enjoy a unique slice of local culture, this charming tribute symbolizes the whimsical spirit of the city. Plus, you might just leave with a newfound appreciation for the free-spirited cats running around Kuching. Last but not least, Kuching translates to cat in malay language.

The Sarawak waterfront water display is an enthralling spectacle that merits a solid 4 out of 5 stars in my book. A visual feast is created by the choreography of water jets against the backdrop of Sarawak's magnificent shoreline. The presentation incorporates cultural themes flawlessly, conveying a story through the interaction of lights, music, and water. The precision of the water movements is evident, and the brilliant colours bring a sense of magic to the night. The reflection of the display on the water's surface lends an added dimension of beauty to the waterfront's overall mood. While the spectacle is great, there were a few times that felt slightly repetitious, keeping it from receiving a perfect grade. Nonetheless, for locals, the Sarawak waterfront water display is a must-see.
