Hampton Inn by Hilton Ozona

This place needs to be shut down. The photos online are very misleading should be considered fraud. First of all, the area is horrid and feels very unsafe. Pulling into the parking lot, it’s desolate and there is a car with broken in windows parked in the lot. I walk into the lobby, which looks completely run down and unclean. I check in with the man at the desk and get to my room at 1 a.m. After walking into the room it’s instantly a disappointment. The floor was filthy, the walls were stained with god knows what, dust covered the baseboards and outlets, the door was broken and filthy, the slider to the outside didn’t lock properly and had a sign taped to it saying “keep door locked” which made me uneasy, there was a rope hanging off the balcony above the room I was in (as if anyone could climb down that balcony and break into the broken sliding door), the tub had water in it and didn’t drain, the towels were old as well as the sheets, the sheets were stained and worn out, the shampoo bottle amenity was half used, you could look into the room from the peep hole in the front door, the mattress was stained with blood that looked as though they tried to clean it out and failed, the roof was falling apart, the list goes on and on. The pool was closed and visible from my room. In the balcony you can see disgusting water, trash and plant matter inside and around the pool, all the plants surrounding it were overgrown and leaves everywhere, piles of trash and leaves all over. I was repulsed by the room, I did not feel safe at all. I felt like I was in a post apocalyptic video game foraging for supplies. I attempted to get a refund by going to the front desk, but the lobby door was locked with a sign on the door saying to see the cashier at the gas station next door. I proceeded to look for this gas station among the 3 buildings in the lot. I walked up to one full of trash with cardboard in the windows to block you from seeing in, but the lights were on inside. I then walked to the next building and find the clerk at the gas station who acted like he didn’t know anything about the hotel and refused to help me. It wasn’t until I told him about the tub not draining that he became interested in what I was saying. He proceeded to say, “no refunds.” It wasn’t until after I continued to demand a refund repeatedly and say how disgusting this place is that he called someone. At this point, it was 2 a.m., I felt unsafe and had to push another 45 to the next town, so I left. With no one at the front desk I couldn’t check out. I contacted ******* and they told me the hotel won’t refund me because I allegedly stayed “5 hours” and “used the electricity.” I had to make a fuss with ******* to get my money back. This place is a joke. Don’t ever stay here even in desperation. Fraudulent false advertisement. Deserves negative stars
