I used the lis hotel as a base to visit with friends. Hotel was great, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and well laid out. The breakfast was comprehensive, nicely cooked and hot, the fruit and pastries were fresh and the coffee was fab. I will definitely use this facility again I will definitely stay here again.

Cirencester (a former Roman city) is a gem, and the Corinium hotel is ideally placed to tour the town on foot. Located on a quiet street 5 minutes from the centre, with virtually no passing traffic, even for front-facing rooms. This latest was the third time we've stayed at the hotel. It's all olde-worlde, go someplace else if you want porcelain and glass modernity. The stairs to some rooms are steep, but ask for more accessible rooms if you're 'of an age'. Breakfasts excellent, serving staff anxious to please, helpful receptionists. The owners were about to sell up this year, but I'm glad they changed their mind.

I can't fault the hotel itself is gorgeous, perfect location and food for both breakfast and evening was incredible. The aesthetic is everything you would want in a Cotswolds escape with scenic walks surrounding the area and incredibly lovely staff. The food was some of the best food I have had for a while! The however - we were pre warned a couple of weeks before our arrival about an event taking place. I rang to ask how the noise would be, and would the bar or hotel spaces be affected to which we were told we wouldn't hear anything and no they would not, which was not the case. Until 11pm it felt like a nightclub, we had come for a quiet escape but instead had wedding music and singing and shouting, also using all of the bar area. Felt quite disappointed about this, mainly because we just wanted a quiet weekend in what would have seemed like a cosy and quiet place but instead it was chaotic and loud. We would have happily rebooked and enjoyed another weekend which wouldn't have felt as overstimulating. We did ask at the time to which we were just apologised to and it would go off at 11pm. There is always this risk when booking a hotel which has a venue, but equally if we were told when we rang this was going to be the case we would have simply rebooked.

Great Hotel in wunderschöner Lage - haben ein paar Mal geblieben und liebte es - aber leider wurde diese Zeit durch Personalmangel abgelassen - mein Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt oder keine frische Handtücher und Produkte ersetzt . Das Rezeption-Desk war oft niemand da - mein Kartenschlüssel für Zimmer funktionierte nicht - zweimal musste zurück gehen, um zu ersetzen und musste lange warten, bei beiden Gelegenheiten wie niemand auf der Rezeption - es ruinierte meinen Aufenthalt, diese Zeit.

Ausstattung: Sehr gut, aber die Toilettenspülung funktioniert nicht reibungslos Hygiene: sehr sauber Umgebung: sehr schön Der Service war ausgezeichnet Die auf dem Zimmer bereitgestellten Pralinen sind sehr lecker und auch die Kaffeetüten sind gut. Obwohl es nicht viele Frühstücksvarianten gibt, ist die Qualität sehr gut. Den Aufenthalt wert.

I went to the restaurant with a friend. Ordered a ribeye steak. I ate about quarter of my steak before I realised it was inedible. Full of gristle. I told the waitress who eventually sent a male college. I have no idea if he was a manager. He looked at my steak and apologised and said he agreed it was unacceptable. I told him I did not want another steak. He told me he would adjust the bill. When we got our bill it was for the full price. I asked the waitress to get it adjusted. She returned with a new bill showing a 10% locals discount. Really is that it? You add your service and then only give me a tiny discount. The waitress just looked at me. I did not want to make a scene in front of my friend so paid and left. My advice would be avoid this over priced badly staffed and run hotel. They have no interest in customer service. We were ignored on arrival and had to wait to be seated even though at least 3 staff members saw us they all ignored us.
