Heru Pyramids View Hotel

We booked an apartment for 5 nights and requested airport shuttle at time of booking - we walked out after the 1st night. There was no airport shuttle so we caught a taxi and they had trouble finding the place. They put us in a room with 2 single beds, 1 of the beds fell apart. There was no fridge in the room as advertised and they only put one in after I enquired about it. We asked for the free WiFi password and they said they’d get back to us in 10min - they never got back to us and my phone was not picking up any WiFi signal. The room was full of mosquitoes and the bed linen was dirty. There is no restaurant, just a sitting area and they said if we order food it will take at least an hour to get there. There was a bar near the pool but it didn’t have a single drink anywhere near it. The room was not clean, the shower did not work properly and leaked all over the floor. Breakfast was a tiny omelette with bread, honey and jam, to be eaten without any cutlery. They asked if we would like coffee, we said yes but 45mins later and still no coffee…..We tried to get an Uber to go find food but 3 drivers cancelled on us so we walked about 15mins to find a taxi as there are no restaurants or grocery stores nearby. We got the taxi and decided to go book in to another hotel. When we returned for our things there were no staff around to hand the key into or ask for the rest of our money back. The only positives of this place was the view of the pyramids and the pool which just aren’t enough considering all the negatives. Judging by the layout of the hotel I don’t think the apartment actually exists and most of the property photos are fake.

Great hotel for family vacation, looks right at the pyramid (great view and perfect for pictures especially at sunset), clean room, friendly staff, great looking rooms, nice pool, you'd enjoy hanging out there at night, great for family and couples, great getaway from all life distractions.

Dit hotel is echt Egyptisch…. Het is niet netjes afgewerkt en de service laat weleens op zich wachten. Je moet sommige dingen een paar keer vragen: toiletpapier, handdoeken. Maar ze doen hun best en willen echt dingen voor je regelen. Wij hebben met onze drie kinderen in ieder geval een fijne tijd gehad. Maak je niet druk en neem de tijd, dan heb je echt een prima vakantie. Het uitzicht op de piramides is geweldig! Een heel groot pluspunt! WiFi is bij het zwembad prima, pas wel op in het zwembad: onze blonde kinderen hebben nu een groene gloed in het haar. Als je er op uit gaat: het hotel ligt erg afgelegen. Neem een kaartje van het hotel mee, de taxi’s en Ubers kunnen het anders niet vinden.
