Beautiful, unusual hotel with open plan rooms and individual pools. There are now some new rooms (a total of 14) and a restaurant. Rooms 1-7 are at the front, 8-14 are staggered just behind, but still have sea views, although not as expansive as those on the front. Without exception the staff are all very diligent, friendly and helpful. It was mostly full but with only 14 rooms this is an extremely quiet place to be and there is no communal pool. The only time you may see people is in the bar/restaurant, but lots of people choose to eat in their room. The grounds are lovely and although the beach here isn’t very picturesque, you are spoiled for choice locally. We recommend Artolithia beach about half an hour away. You definitely want a car if you’re staying here. Pools are not heated and in May the water was pretty chilly, but they’re cleaned every day and spotless. There are so many positive things I could say. Things to do- Museum is only 10 minutes away (near Lidl) and well worth a visit before going to Nicropolis ancient theatre. Don’t miss the Roman villa either, or the Odeum just behind the Byzantine city walls (check google maps). When we visited in May we literally had these places to ourselves! Archeron springs (50 mins) is a stunning gorge walk/swim, but I dread to think how busy it gets in peak season. Parga and the castle are also worth visiting (1 hr away). The wetland reserves of Amvrakikos and Salaora are stunning if you like bird watching. You can drive over the amazing causeway to Ákra Korakónisa. Akrotiri restaurant is a few minutes away and very nice (use the free hotel bikes) and don’t miss out on the authentic restaurants in Preveza (Crazy Shrimp is good). It’s a working town but the centre has some great streets.
