Savvas-Demar Hotel

Bei einer Landmeile das schlechteste Hotel, in dem ich je das Pech hatte, zu übernachten. Bei der Ankunft wurde mir mein Pass abgenommen und nicht zurückgegeben, bis unsere Strafe beendet war. Der Pool hatte eine ekelhaft düstere Farbe und dein Kopf sah aus, als wäre er von deinem Oberkörper abgetrennt, wenn du dich in dem grausigen, schmuddeligen Inhalt befindest. Das Zimmer war eine absolute Bombenstelle, unser Badezimmer bestand aus ein paar rostigen Holzstücken, um darin eine Dusche zu bekommen, und einem Sumpf, der mehr als Bubbles missbraucht worden war. Die Betten waren steinhart und hatten mehrere Flecken auf den zerfetzten Laken. Das Personal war so nützlich wie eine Schokoladenteekanne, als die Rezeptionistin nach unseren Transfers fragte, zuckte die Achseln, und als wir versuchten, den Ort der Qual zu verlassen, wurden wir wie einige illegale Einwanderer zusammengepfercht und mussten warten, während sie das Zimmer inspizierten. Gleichzeitig weigerte ich mich, meinen Pass zurückzugeben. Was auch immer Sie tun - bleiben Sie NICHT in diesem Hotel, Sie werden es bereuen und ein körperloser Körper sein, dem Ihre Seele für mehrere Tage fehlt.

Room was broken into by two men, my friend and I had to run out the front door while they were coming in the balcony door. We ran by reception crying and they didn’t care, security laughed when they found out. We spent the rest of the week in our friends room sharing single beds as we were too scared being on a bottom floor balcony with a broken door. There’s extra charges when you arrive around €80 per person. The rooms aren’t cleaned and most of the stuff in the rooms are either broken or dirty. There’s also reps selling drink and food wristbands in the hotel for €250pp but then when you get to use them the hotel change the rules and say you can’t. For example my friends tried to use theirs to get breakfast at 11:00 originally been told they could be used till 12 they refused to serve them and said breakfast closed at 11, the next day they said 10 so we had to get up early, then to be told you can’t order of the breakfast menu it’s their own set breakfast they choose (which would be fine but this wasn’t what they said when purchasing the wristbands)

Out in Laganas for your typical lads holiday, 5 of us. I had my own room and the other 4 lads shared a room. When we arrived, the first thing we was greeted by the reps. DO NOT BE FOOLED! The reps although may seem kind, are there for one reason only and that’s to take your money! 4/5 of us got talked into buying a wristband for €220 each, which allowed us to get free drinks from 12:00-22:00. The reps said we could get anything from the bar. However, when using the wristbands we noted, you could only drink what was on tap (not including bottles or cans) and the drinks you could get were significantly watered down. This was the first disappointment but not uncommon amongst cheap hotels. The reps also mentioned stuff such as being a party hotel with party’s going on until 8am in the morning etc (which is what the general person in the area was looking for). However, quite a few residents at the hotel mentioned they had noise complaints from staff!!! At a party hotel!! At times such as 1am in the morning which is ridiculous. Reps out the way, let’s move onto the rude woman behind reception, named Efe I believe. We were made to pay €35 for the air conditioning which said it was included with the original purchase of the room. I was made to pay €70 cause I was on my own. Then extra charges came for use of safe, city tax all the usual rubbish. Before she was showing me to my room, she tried to convince me to squeeze in with my friends (would have then been 5 to one room). After a lot of back and forth saying that I had paid for my own room already, she finally broke down and took me to where I was staying (on the complete opposite side of the hotel). It was obvious that the intentions were to squeeze me in with mates so she could resell the room I’ve already paid for. Once I had arrived at my room, the state of the room was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. The room was located next to a petrol garage so the view was rubbish. The room had 3 beds, I only needed one. The sheets were absolutely filthy. The balcony was unusable due to a colony of ants taking over the balcony, therefore I couldn’t hang any clothes or towels out to dry without ants crawling everywhere on them. All of this and I’ve gone to have a shower. The shower bracket which is connected to the wall, the bottom half was hanging off the wall so when the shower was turned on, the shower head would swing everywhere and water would spray all along the bathroom (no glass or shower curtain was present and it was an open tiny box shower). I’ve gone to the reception to raise my concerns. The handyman fixed the shower, it functioned as it should however as it was an open shower, the bathroom still flooded everytime after use. They mentioned they would put deterrent down for the ants but they didn’t disappear throughout the whole stay. I complained about the issue multiple times but it was disregarded by the receptionist everytime. I had to put up with the above conditions for

The hotel is great to stay in, the rooms are spacious and very clean. Although this is a party hotel it is good for adults if you like to mingle with different age groups. I have stayed here on numerous occasions and find the owners and their families to be very welcoming and the pool & bar areas are great to chill and have a drink, sunbathe and to eat. The food is amazing. I will be back in May/Sept 24 so see you all then.

Great hotel great family couldn’t ask for more extremely welcoming would definitely recommend close to bars and beach excellent pool and bar food was really good staff great can’t wait to return next year rooms really clean and well kept nothing was to much trouble thank you for making my holiday Maria Dena and everyone else

Not really sure where to begin. I'll say first off that Zante is a lovely place if you fer a car and go exploring. Like any holiday it is what you make of it. We booked in and had to pay €80 for city tax, aircon and the safe....... we stayed for ten days and they tried telling us we'd been charged wrong for the aircon and owed them more because we were there for 10 days not 7. We refused to pay and they cut it off. 80 EUROS! absolute scam. City tax is 1.25 a day...... and I'm not why you'd need the safe as the rooms don't get cleaned.... We were immediately accosted by the reps selling the wristbands, telling us we had to make a decision there and then we couldn't go away and think about it. He told us it was the biggest party hotel, there will be people **********, loud music, ****, and people doing balloons at all hours... as soon as we said thar wasn't really our vibe and we didn't want wrist bands he literally turned his back on us. We entered the room, and there were 5 single beds for 2 people. 3 of the beds were broken. The TV was smashed. The bathroom was mouldy, with an open shower so everything got soaking wet through. The toilet hasn't seen bleach in many years. The towels we were given were literally falling apart, old, stained. We had to request new towels, toilet roll and for the room to be cleaned. It was cleaned one. In 10 days. Only when asked. The 'kitchenette' is a mini fridge, a sink, and a plug in hob. That's it. Oh and a kettle. Not self catering facilities at all. The mattresses were mouldy the bedding didn't get changed. We got charged 20 euros for an arm snapping on a cheap plastic chair. We used the pool area once.... there's a film on the water it's that dirty. It's cloudy, there is mould round the edges.. everyone was getting bitten round the pool. The sun beds are all rubbish and need replacing. We used a lovely clean pool at the next hotel Aeon. The rep was right... it was loud at all hours, smell of **** and sound of people doing balloons. It kicked off most days at 4 am with guests falling out with each other, fights, doors banging, quads and bikes coming right up to the rooms. One night a woman was walking round with a corkscrew wanting to stab someone!!!! We didn't really have much to do with the staff, but heard then shouting. We were out all day most days and made it a good holiday... I 100% would not come back to this hotel. Love holidays need to advertise it at a party hotel, as it states on their own website. They should not be taking bookings from elderly couples and families. My friend and I are neither of those we are girls in our late 20s, so would look for 'lively' but this really was something else !! Laganas in general is an 18-30s resort. I was shocked at how young the clientelle were. Clubs full of 18 year olds... wearing nothing more than a bikini.. I'm all for a good time.... but Laganas was a little too much/young for us!

Great room, tidy bathroom, lovely balcony and nice people. We were two girls staying here and we had some trouble with a lad who kept bothering us aggressively, I mentioned it to a young, blonde woman in reception who IMMEDIATELY told me that she was on it and not to worry about it any more. She absolutely bollocked them and kept our identity private. She made us feel SO SAFE. Thanks Savvas staff :)))

The perfect hotel for a girls/boys holiday! The hangover cure breakfast was yummy and certainly was the cure!! Good vibes, music and swim up bar at the pool. Our room was clean and well equipped. Staff were all lovely and friendly, especially Maria! The bars playworld and 1st stop were also fab. We would definitely stay here again.
