盛岡から山形方面に一般道を使って南下している時、立ち寄り湯をした感想です。 雫石から横手に抜ける岩手・秋田県道１号線を走り、湯田高原を過ぎて少し進んだ後左折します。ヘアピンカーブの続く細い山道を下って行くと集落に入り、さらに少し進むと南郷夢温泉共林荘が現れました。思っていたより規模の大きな建物です。 駐車場は結構広いのですが、地元ナンバーの車が多数駐車しています。日曜の午後だった事もあるのでしょうが、地元の方に人気のようです。受付も混雑していました。入浴料金５００円、PayPayが利用可能でした。 この施設には泉質の異なる２つの源泉があり、本館元湯と新館大浴場で、それぞれのお湯が源泉掛け流しで提供されています。本館は内湯のみ、新館には小さな露天風呂があります。 先に新館大浴場の方に入ります。脱衣所も内湯もゆったりした余裕のある空間です。アルカリ性単純温泉のお湯は少しヌルヌルしていて、匂いは殆どありません。 露天風呂の湯口では黄土色をした湯の華が多数舞っていました。露天風呂だけ、冬の間加温、塩素消毒、循環ろ過と書かれていましたが、その気配は私の鼻では検知できませんでした。 服を着て本館元湯に移動して再度入浴します。こちらは一転してコンパクトな造り。アルカリ性単純硫黄泉は結構硫黄の匂いが強かったです。ただ、浴室の窓が壊れていると書かれて締め切っていた事も関係しているかもしれません。こちらもお湯も良かったですが、換気不充分な空間に大勢の人が入浴して、コロナ対策上大丈夫なのかがちょっと気になりました。 素泊まりで税込５，６００円から、１泊２食付きで同７，３５０円からと宿泊料金も割安なので、宿泊してゆっくり入浴するのもいいかもしれません。豪華さは全くありませんが、温泉好きな方なら寛げると思います。
