"German (Deutsch): rste Eindruck beim eintretten im Empfang (ist im Pub), ist das man das Gefühl habe, das in ist hereingeplatzt im Krimi-Serie Mittsommer ****** und man schau ob man Barneby findet. Unsere Zimmer war super, Große Bed, Schöne Bad zimmer. Man wird sehr freundlich und aufrecht empfangen und man fühle , das man sehr verkommen ist. The Wallnut Tree liegt im eine kleinen Dorf (ca. 400 Einwohner) und es ist sehr peace voll, und es ist das richtige, wenn man ruhe und entspannen möchte. Wir war mit 18 Übernachtungen, die Gäste, das am längsten übernachtet habe. Wir haben jeden Tag zum Abend und manchmal auch Lunch gegessen. Das Essen ist hervorragende, küche bekommen von uns 11 Sternen von 10. Ich kann nur das Essen weiterempfählen. Im unsere Zeitraum wo wir Gäste war, sind wir mit sehr nahe an Wirt paar und Staff gekommen und ein Freundschaft ist entstanden. Außerdem wenn man offen für andern Leute so wir es ist, habe wir auch Kontakte zum die Lokale Anwohner machen können und all das zusammen, habe uns das Gefühl gegeben, das wir ein teil von Gemeine war. Deswegen möchte Wir unsere Dank an der Wirt Peter und sein Frau  Janine und natürlich auch an die Mitarbeiter (Kira, Barbara, Megan, Rachel und der junge bar keeper) aussprechen. Hier möchte ich auch an die lokale Leute (Jeff, Joe, Paul und Sharon) unsere Dank aussprechen, es ist schön Freunde zu haben, Danke. Wir können The Wallnut Tree jedenfalls weiter empfählen und wir wird wieder kommen.. PS: Es ist ein Dorf Hotel mit Pub, und wenn man von Großstadt kommt und möchte das hier Küche und Pub, 24 Stunden offen ist, dann sind man am falsche Ort. Hier hat man ruhe, viel Natur und wie gesagt, es ist Country site und es ist ein Dorf. West Camel ist ein Gute Ort als Basis für Ausflüge. Preis Leistung Verhältnis passt, nicht überteuert. English: The first impression upon entering reception (it's in the pub) is that you feel like you've walked into the crime series Midsummer ****** and are looking to find Barneby. Our room was great, large bed, beautiful bathroom. You are greeted very warmly and uprightly, and you feel like you've been treated to a very good life. The Walnut Tree is located in a small village (approx. 400 inhabitants) and is very peaceful and full, making it the perfect place if you want peace and relaxation. We were the longest-stayed guests, with 18 nights. We had dinner every day and sometimes lunch. The food is excellent; we gave the kitchen 11 out of 10 stars. I highly recommend the food. During our time as guests, we became very close to the host couple and the staff, and a friendship developed. Plus, when you're open to other people like we are, we were able to make contact with the local residents, and all of that made us feel like we were part of the community. We'd like to express our thanks to the landlord, Peter, and his wife Janine, and of course to the staff (Kira, Barbara, Megan, Rachel, and the young bartender). I'd also like to thank the locals"

"Das Hotel ist ein wenig alt, aber die Zimmer sind viel groß als die meisten der vorhandenen Geschäfte. Die Einrichtungen sind auch perfekt, und es ist sehr bequem zu bleiben und zu verlassen."

"Due to a breakdown in my marriage I have been placed here so I have warmth and shelter. I am severely disabled from a stroke last year and I am in a wheelchair although they do not have disabled rooms they adapted the room as best as they could to help make my life easier. I have been treated like more than just a customer and they are always up for a chat about anything. There is an Indian restaurant next door that is probably the best one I have been to and the service there is quick I give a hand to all the staff who work in there and if I could buy them all a beer I would. I was taken to hospital recently due to a fall and really damaging my back so when I came back I asked one of the guys there mohammed i believe is his name but I asked if he could check on me when he has time. Just due to the risk of me falling and not getting back up and he said that is fine with no problem I stayed in a travelodge before here and I asked if they could check in just knock the door and not one of them came. The staff at hawk house actually treat you like a person and not a number. I would recommend anyone to stay here. I am near a main road (A303) yet I don’t really hear it. And everyone who complains about it knows it is near a main road so they are listening for it. Yet the loudest noise I hear is the airbase nearby."

"The last time we were at Lanes was when we got married and held our reception there 4 years ago. That day was perfect in every way and we could not fault the service we received . Time has flown by and with Covid etc it has taken us this long to return . Shame on us ! We booked just the two of us to celebrate my birthday and what can we say . The service and food were superb . The staff were so welcoming , friendly and courteous. The food was truly delicious and presented beautifully . Just first class all round . The whole place has such a lovely ambience . We can not recommend highly enough . We will certainly not be leaving it this long again and plan to come next to one of their themed nights and book a room for the night . Many of our wedding party stayed at Lanes for our wedding and they all reported all their rooms were first class as was ours it was perfect . Thank you to everyone again for a wonderful evening ."
