Hotels mit WiFi in Yaounde

I spent a few nights in the Yaounde Hilton and it was a mixed experience. I arrived and went through what has to have been the grumpiest security check I’ve had in a while. Hilton - please ask your security to at least greet people, maybe even be friendly; or at least polite. And they were like this almost all the time… Anyway I had booked online (bizarrely it is far cheaper to book online that actually through the hotel), and when I asked for an extra night the hotel wanted to charge me almost double the rate it was on Hilton’s own website. My room was adequate. It was dated and needs a refurb - and the bathroom could do with a deep clean. Food was broadly ok; but disappointing. The breakfast buffet was quite limited and exactly the same each day. It is bizarre that in the tropics only very limited fruit was offered. The Safou restaurant was fair. Pricey but some good prawns. When you get charged $30 for a burger you want it to be good - and it wasn’t. I strongly suggest the Hilton kitchen engage some of the many local organic farms to increase the range of salad items, fruit, local butter and so on. It’s all available very nearby! In short while staff of the hotel were friendly and tried to be helpful, it’s sort of got the ‘I’m the only 5 star hotel in town’ vibe where frankly it is well below most decent hotel standards and certainly the worst Hilton I have been to. And it is a hefty price! That it is in Yaounde is not an acceptable justification - it could be a lot better and should be a lot better.

This is a good hotel, located a little away from the city centre (but near many embassies and international organisation offices). I asked for an airport pick up which went smoothly (CFX10,000 fee). The hotel is bright and modern and very clean. My room was well appointed and no issues at all. There is a small but decent gym and a nice outdoor pool though it is a city hotel so no garden area unfortunately. Breakfast was ok - a mix of western and Central African options. For CFX15,000 I had somewhat higher hopes. All in all a good option In Yaounde.

This was a great introduction to Yaoundé with a straightforward reception into a place with character and in which everything worked and friendly staff. Meal prices were not exorbitant for a 4 star hotel, and the rooms and shower well equipped. All was clean and comfortable. The first room overlooked the street and was noisy and after opening the window, it was difficult to close, but I got a much quieter room on the opposite side of the corridor. Carpets dampen the noise of guests returning to their rooms and I got a good night's sleep. You'll pay over U$150/night and breakfast is extra. There is a good menu and the lamb was delicious!

The staff is friendly, which is really the only positive point of this hotel. The exterior infrastructures have not been maintained for ages, which is a shame because the panorama is superb. Let's move on to the negatives: The wifi didn't work. It was impossible to get hot water, so I had to shower with cold water…. Finally I got up in the middle of the night and found that many guests were installed in the bathroom! A myriad of cockroaches were walking around the sink! In short: last time in this hotel which is a disaster!

Le Djeuga palace, plein centre ville J'ai aimé, plusieurs fois, j'y suis allé dans le cadre de mon travail. Un jour j'avais un problème de chemise froissé. Le problème a été résolu en un clin d'œil. Dies ist ein gut geführtes Hotel und ich fühlte mich willkommen, sobald ich in die Nähe der Rezeption kam - insbesondere Nina machte dies zu einem angenehmen Aufenthalt und nichts war ihr zu viel Mühe. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und haben einen hohen Standard mit schöner Beleuchtung und gutem WLAN. Der Teppichboden in den Fluren macht das Hotel sehr ruhig und die Zimmer in den oberen Stockwerken sind von der Straße weg. Das Essen und der Restaurant-Menüservice waren ausgezeichnet und bedienten europäische und einige lokale Geschmäcker, aber Sie zahlen 4-Sterne-Preise. In den Zimmern war meine einzige Überraschung, dass keine festen Seifenstücke zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Beim Auschecken stellte ich fest, dass ihr Kreditkartengerät seit 1 oder 2 Tagen nicht funktioniert hatte, aber als ich kein Bargeld bekommen konnte, organisierten sie die Reparatur und alles ging gut aus (aber es lohnt sich immer, in Kamerun viel Bargeld dabei zu haben, da es keine Garantie dafür gibt, dass Sie digital bezahlen können!) Ich blieb 6 Nächte und handelte daher einen reduzierten Preis aus, etwa 125 US-Dollar Übernachtung und Frühstück

Friendly Service. Ich kam zu spät, die Küche war gerade geschlossen, aber sie waren noch zur Vorbereitung etwas bereit. Sehr geschätzt. Ich fragte nach ruhigen Zimmern und sie setzten mich mit kleinem Straßenlärm auf die Rückseite. Zimmer sind, was man in diesem Preisbereich erwarten kann. Hotel ist alt und Sie sehen, dass, aber das Bett ist ok und Hotel ist sauber, was brauchst du noch? Zumindest in meinem Zimmer konnte nicht duschen ohne die Hälfte des Badezimmersbodens nass (Warum ist es so schwierig, eine Dusche zu machen, die nicht leckt?? Ich habe das so oft) Wifi ist ok, obwohl ich empfehle jedem, eine lokale sim zu kaufen, wo immer Sie in Afrika gehen . Es gibt keinen Flughafenschiff, sie fragen einen der Fahrer um. Wenn Sie kosten 10.000 CFA, die ich ziemlich teuer finde (der Flughafen ist jedoch eine lange Ausfahrt) würde ich es durchschnittliche Qualität in seinem Preisbereich betrachten. Wenn Sie hier bleiben und einen Fahrer brauchen, ist Samuel ein netter Kerl.

Es gibt viele Verbesserungen gegenüber meinem vorherigen Aufenthalt im Hotel Franco. Der Fitnessraum und das Schwimmbad verdienen mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Das Frühstück wird als Buffet serviert und umfasst eine Auswahl an exotischen und lokalen Gerichten, die von 06:00 bis 10:00 Uhr serviert werden. Schöner Ort.
