It’s pretty inside, but rather empty. I’m upset because they turn off air conditioning in all rooms from 10 am to 3 pm. I am sick and unable to go out. I need to lie down, but I’m forced to wait, coughing, in the lobby cafe, until 3 pm when I can return to my room. The front desk tried to banish me to two employee rooms. Disgraceful. The AC is centrally managed, so presumably they simply cannot turn on the AC in my room. The small gift shop is not open during the day either, so there is nothing to do here. The ocean nearby is a rocky cliff, plus it is steaming hot outside in August. If you are not sick, you can go out exploring all day and come back to AC in your room. However, if you are exhausted with time zone issues, sick and coughing, they do not accommodate you here. It could be worse. The lobby cafe is comfortable enough, but I am bored. The gift shop, when it opens, has no earrings or valid souvenirs for sale—just a bunch of dead fish items. Their onsen is co-ed and naked. Last night’s dinner in the restaurant was a vegetarian laugh of boiled lettuce. Breakfast was better. The cafe offers very little bariety of food. If you are vegan, you are out of luck. Pizza is gross with too much cheese with onions inside.
