Super 8 by Wyndham Grand Rapids/Wyoming

My son and I were in the Grand Rapids area for a basketball tournament. We got to the hotel around 7:30pm to check in. I waiting in the lobby for approximately 15 minutes before anyone was able to assist me. The interior of the hotel smelled like old cigarette smoke, the hallways were dirty, including the carpet flooring. When in our room (319), the bed linens were covered with cigarette burned holes and had some type of "stuff" on them that we could not tell what it was. After contemplating what to do, we decided to make the best of it because we were leaving early the next morning. We turned the heat up a bit and slept on top of the cleanest sheet on the bed, in our clothes, without covers. The two sconces on either side of the bed did not have any lamp shades, the lights did not work, nor did the electrical outlet on each of them. The easy chair in the corner had stains all over it and the arm rests were so tattered and dirty we did not want to sit in it. The carpet flooring was so dirty that when my son walked from the bed to the bathroom, and back, his white socks were completely black on the bottom. The bathroom door was bent so much, that the upper hinge on the interior of the bathroom was correct, but the lower hinge was totally missing as the frame looked like it had been bent in, so the door did not open or close properly. The whole hotel looked run down and not cared for at all........ This was very unfortunate and not expected. We travel often for tournaments and have been using Super 8 for a majority of them. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had. Thank you, Scott

I paid to include two breakfast and once there I was told they didn't provide breakfast yet was still charged for it through my trip app. Very dissapointing.

There is nothing unique with this property. Second time at this property and will be my last. The room was way below acceptable for the price I paid. The room itself is need of repairs (sink in bathroom is really slow to drain. Smoke detector needs batteries. The tile around jacuzzi needs repaired. The carpets needs replaced. The pillows are feathered with not enough feathers to make it full pillow. I had to ask for three additional pillows. Went to check out and nobody was available (after ringing bell three times).

Never staying here again The first room we were put in wasn’t clean/beds weren’t made. The second room had a door that wouldn’t lock. The third and final room we were put in smelled bad, had a whole wall of outlets that didn’t work, had 1 working light and the bathroom was so gross, I wore flip flops to shower. If we had somewhere else to stay, we would have.

The smells inside of the room was really bad. We couldnt stay not one hour, floor was filty with stuff spilt on the floor. Absolutely disgusting

Staff was helpful about needs. Nobody present during Check in.not answereing phone one Bell. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, blankets had several burn holes. Surface of some furniture had a greasy Film. No Towels or washcloths in bathroom.
