Petwood Hotel

Nice room very comfortable four poster bed, nice view over the gardens. But would eat elsewhere if I visited again, very disappointed with our anniversary meal it rather spoilt our stay, the restaurant manager was not too pleased that we complained

We arrived home today after an exceptional two day break at The Petwood. Check-in was easy with pleasant receptionists dealing with our booking. Our room was well equipped with all we needed. Evening meals were delicious, with exceptional service , especially Karen, who remembered us from previous visits . Breakfast was good with a great choice of hot and cold options. I must mention the pleasant ladies of housekeeping, always a pleasant good morning from them. Checkout was easy , with , again, pleasant Receptionists. We will return in the future

We wey were attending a wedding at Abbey Farm. Good stay and very good for families with young children. We had a round table for all of us in the restaurant which was nice. Just one niggle the pillows were very hard two too much and one not enough.

Impromptu one night stay as it looked fantastic online. We weren't disappointed! Family trip to the area to see memorabilia to do with the Dambusters linked to a A-level physics activity of our sons. We were amazed at how much there was to see in the hotel itself as well as outside. It's like a museum. The building is beautiful. The staff were friendly and the rooms were excellent. The little bar was good and liked boardgames were provided in the lounge atea. Very homely. Windows in the lounge area were chilly but hey its an old building with masses of chracter. Good breakfast also. Very relaxing and fascinating. Visited the Lincolnshire aviation museum after - very moving and educational.

Very peaceful night after a busy and tiring day of moving house. Room service with the flat iron steak was excellent

My family booked the Squadron Bar for a surprise birthday party to celebrate my 60th. When we arrived at the Petwood there I was thinking my wife and I were just going for a quiet meal for two, the staff played along with the ruse really well, stringing me along by ushering us into the dining room, whereupon shortly afterwards they announced there’d been a mistake with seating arrangements. We did an about turn and were brought to the Squadron bar, and a few seconds later as we opened the door the entire family were there singing Happy Birthday!!! So well done to the staff for executing their part of the surprise, it definitely worked! The evening went really well, the food was excellent as was the wine we were served and the staff were really attentive and polite throughout. Since three of my sons are serving RAF servicemen, the fact that we were dining in this fantastic setting which is steeped in RAF history was very moving and a great night was had by all. Most of the family including myself stayed overnight at the Petwood and were treated to a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast in the morning which certainly helped with the hangover! Well done to the Petwood, and all the staff who helped make my birthday so memorable!
