Hammock Cove Antigua - All Inclusive - Adults Only

The resort is about 35 minutes from the airport over some very bumpy roads. Our room and bath were very large, but we were disappointed that there was no dresser in the room to store your clothing . Instead, there were shelves. If you have any walking disability, this is not the resort for you. To get to the beach involves many many steps. The same situation applies to the Lighthouse restaurant where you have to climb up 25 steps. The Lighthouse restaurant has excellent dinner food and the restaurant manger, Troy, and the head chef made sure that my wife's food allergies were taken into consideration each time we visited Lighthouse. The food at the breakfast restaurant was also good, although at times the service seemed very slow.

Top end luxury beds so comfortable food amazing. Service excellent staff brilliant . Chef Marco produces wonderful dishes at the Lighthouse a real experience, while Troy & Collet run front of house. We had so many memorable experiences with kind helpful staff just to many to mention a big thank you to you all.Jambo Kenya asante for your help with buggy rides and looking after us . Breakfast staff brilliant. Never short of a drink on the beach .

Pros: - Exceptional service and staff. The 24/7 assistance from your ambassador, including a provided cell phone, was a great touch! Surprised with cute towel animals - Outstanding cuisine: Chef Marco personally visits tables during dinner, demonstrating his passion in every dish. Irina’s breakfast and lunch were delightful. Don’t miss the beach BBQs featuring a fantastic array of seafood and meat. - Peaceful and quiet resort with a maximum of 80 guests at a time. - Great selection of water sports, including sailing, canoeing, and kayaking. - Spacious, clean, and beautifully designed rooms. - The cooking demon class was a highlight and incredibly enjoyable. - Equipped air conditioned game room Cons: - The main lobby lacks air conditioning. - Irina’s sushi night and dinners were disappointing and had a limited, bar-like menu. - No ATM on site. Tips: - Bring cash for tipping. - For men: Pack collared shirts, long pants, and closed shoes, as they are required for dining at the Lighthouse. - Pack earplugs to block out the loud crickets at night. - Be sure to have dinner at the Lighthouse every night.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Lighthouse Restaurant. The ambiance was both inviting and romantic, perfect for a special occasion. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, making it difficult to choose just one! Each dish we tasted was a delightful exploration of flavor and presentation. The service truly impressed us. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and their recommendations were spot on. The wine pairing suggestion complemented our meal perfectly. Overall, Lighthouse Restaurant provided a memorable dining experience. We highly recommend it for anyone seeking a romantic evening with exceptional food and service. Thank you Chef Marco and team!!

My wife and I just returned from a stay at Hammock Cove. Based on the price point to stay at this resort there should be a much higher delivery on customer service, food and quality of the resort and villas I will start with the positives. A select few of the staff members were fantastic and very friendly especially the men and women working at the beach and pools. They were fantastic. We had great conversations and service there. The pools, beach and cove itself were amazing and always very nicely kept in the public areas. The massages at the Serenity Spa are also worth the money but not much else. The cons stand out more especially for a resort that charges $10k USD for a stay. First the quality of the villa itself leaves much to be desired. We had rain and cockroaches entering our room via the wide open space in the main door. When an employee tells you to put a towel across the bottom of the door to keep the cockroaches out then-that is a major issue. The private pool also had stone breaking apart which left us walking across concrete stones everyday. The biggest issues with the resort itself were the ambassador program, food and customer service. Our experience with the ambassador program was awful. They never made a single reservation at the lighthouse for dinner for our entire stay until the last night, even though that was the first topic covered when we arrived. We arrived at dinner every night to be told we didn’t have a reservation. They also never delivered an itinerary for the entirety of our stay even though we made multiple requests both about the dinner reservations and itinerary issues. We never saw our personal ambassador unless we called which we only did one time to order room service. The ambassador program should have been the highlight of this resort but it was the biggest disappointment. The other customer service through out the resort was not great as well minus a select few. No one cared to have conversations and it seemed like non one wanted to be there nor did they want to deal with the guests. Finally the food was a disappointment too. They have a very limited menu so if you have special needs especially with allergies or just didn’t like the offering that day you were left to have pizza or a burger. The light house dining experience left much to be desired. The menu was too focused on presentation of dishes instead of the food itself. My wife and I left hungry most nights especially with the limited menu offerings. The best meal each day was breakfast with the fresh coffee as well as fresh squeezed orange juice. I don’t believe this resort is worth the money but a lot of people love this resort based on the reviews. We just wanted to give our fair and honest opinion. We will not be returning based on our experience which is disappointing to say the least.

My husband and I recently returned from a weeklong vacation at Hammock Cove. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with luxurious amenities, this is the place to go. Our villa was beautiful! Our outdoor patio with its own infinity pool, various seating, and a bar was amazing! We really enjoyed our dinners at The Lighthouse Restaurant as Chef Marco and his staff made the most delicious dinners! We enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Marco as well. The Bistro was great for breakfast and lunch too. I took advantage of the yoga classes and spa treatments while there and I loved them both! All of the ambassadors and other staff members catered to our every need. The resort is extremely clean, and everyone was very friendly. We loved the peace and quiet of the resort! While on the beach, service was great for drinks and food as well. We chose to stay at the resort as we have been to this island before, but there are many excursions available if you want to explore the island. Hammock Cove is a wonderful vacation destination!

Returned for a second year to Hammock Cove. In fact with a little trepidation (we never go anywhere twice!). We shouldn't have worried. Pleased to report that all areas of the hotels were still at their excellent levels. Food, Staff, Premises. All great. If you are considering this hotel, this is a fairly small, quiet, boutique hotel. Its not party-city - there are other places in the Caribbean for that.

We had a wonderful 12 night return to Hammock Cove. When you repeat a visit there is always the possibility that things won’t be as good but this was certainly not the case. Our vacation was as good as the first time, probably better as we were more relaxed and not doing the trips we did the first time. Food was excellent and Chef Marco retains his enthusiasm and drive and was so interesting to talk to. It really is fine dining in an all inclusive environment. Not sure what experiences people have who don’t rate the food. We just loved the nightly choices and the beach bbq. Staff are great, helpful, keen and so ready to engage with any requests. Again we didn’t really use the ambassador system as we are pretty self sufficient. It remains very much a resort for relaxation and peace and quiet with the odd noisy individuals in a distinct minority. We walked to Devils Bridge again and this time made the short walk (1 mile) to Long Bay - go early as it gets very hot but it is worth a look. Taxis are pretty good value and we had a short trip to see Half Moon Bay, Galley Bay and the iconic view of English Harbour from Shirley Heights. We also did the Calypso Cat again , an enjoyable 4 hour excursion. Only minor issues, room towels rather thin for a luxury hotel and beach opens late and closes early. We would have liked beach towels out consistently by 8am and the bar open until least 4pm but accept this may be due to lack of people as we noted that often the beach was almost deserted by 3.30. If you are looking for a quality, relaxing experience with great food, this is the place to be.

My entire life with travel has always been on the go to exotic places with constant motion, this was seven days of one place, two restaurant options, and tranquility. Needless to say, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves feeling that we got true value with respect to the property is cleanliness, outstanding and courteous staff, and the food was outstanding, but more on that in a second. Let’s first talk about the bungalows, our sat out on the bay number 10 and was perfect for this time of year with respect to memorable sunsets. Every night, the owner of the property understands the value of large spacious bathrooms, and that we had, our room, our infinity, dipping pool And porch were an oasis, and yet the rest of our property was also an oasis with only 42 cabins you never feel overwhelmed by guest getting in your space the beach is perfect size the toys available for enjoyment were great, and the staff attentive at the beach, and at all the cascades of the pool. Food was outstanding, specifically the lighthouse every night the menu changed with several variances of appetizers and main courses, all of which were true culinary experiences.. while an extensive inclusive, wine selection. They also had a reserve wine list, which you had to pay for, but worth it in value and not overpriced.. we did the pink panther tour, which we enjoyed thoroughly along with the Calypso cat snorkeling, half day trip, which was also very enjoyable. All in all had an excellent experience, tonight our last night is the seven course tasting menu and we look forward to that.
