Rus Mar Motel

I paid in advance for the hotel and when I arrived, no one was there. We waited 3 hours no one came!! We booked with booking so wee were trying to reach the hotel by booking but nothing. After 4 hours someone the rus motel writes to us that there is someone at the hotel.but was not true. So I tried to get a refund but they said to booking that they were on site. Thank to booking for the refund. DON’T GO A THIS HOTEL . I had obliged to repaid another hotel room at 21:45

Cleaning was poor, television not working, stove not working, second day no cleanup, room exceptionally small. There was no one in the office during our stay to speak to about our issues. They actually left the room unlocked with the key on the counter!Very dated bathroom, they only supplied 1/2 roll of toilet paper. Dog friendly, but room is so small that it was difficult to walk around the dog's bed.

We booked this motel for 1 night. It was one of the cheaper places in the area. We were placed on the second floor for an ocean view. The balcony area had 2 chairs which was the nicest thing about the room. The room itself was small but decent. There was an obvious broken dresser that was in the room. The bed had no comforter, only 2 bed sheets as covers. There was a kitchenette with no pots or pans to use and no coffee pot which was on the “charge list” of $30 if broken or missing but we never had one to begin with. The bathroom had stray hairs everywhere. Looked like it was just “wiped” rather than cleaned. The shower curtain was too small for the bath/shower. Toilet had a hard time flushing. Only the right side/ cold water worked on the bathroom sink.

There is a lot to recommend this place. Although our room was small, it was well equipped and immaculately clean. The motel is tiny, only nine rooms. There is no pool which means that it is pretty quiet. The owner is on site, very friendly and accommodating, and works very hard. The hotel is dog friendly and across the street from the boardwalk. The only negative is that the bed was very uncomfortable. Of course we are used to a king and this is a queen but it also was just not comfortable for us. We might stay here again anyway if we can get a room with two beds instead of one.

This was our first time staying at The Rus Mar and it was an excellent experience! Not only is it dog friendly, but the hosts are so accommodating and hospitable. Appreciated when I needed cups, more towels, or even extra shampoos, they gave with no hesitation! I would highly recommend this Motel to anyone and especially if you have dogs. I’m pretty sure we have a new annual booking in South Wildwood for the coming years.

The place was clean, close to the ocean and nice. The workers were so caring and friendly. A bit small and a bit outdated, but great value for being pet friendly, and close to the ocean. While my particular room would probably not work for families I highly recommend it to the person who wants to stay on the beach all day and have a nice clean place to sleep at night. I absolutely loved this motel

I initially booked a room at the Rio motel because the reviews were good, the rooms looked clean from the photos and they were pet friendly. When I arrived to check in I had to go to the Rus Mar motel which is owned by the same people. When I found out that the rooms on the ground floor were all kitchenettes and the room I had booked was on the second floor I was concerned because my dog can't climb a lot of steps which means I would have had to carry her up and down. Even though she is a small dog it would have been very difficult for me to navigate the steps while carrying her. I asked if I could change my booking to a ground floor room at the Rus Mar. The owner accommodated me right away. The room was very clean and included a small fridge, a microwave oven and, although I didn't have need for it, 2 stove top burners. There were also pots, pans, utensils, a coffee maker and a toaster. There were ample clean towels in the bathroom. The sheets were crisp and fresh and there were plenty of pillows. There was a flat screen TV that appeared to have a lot of cable channels. While it was nothing fancy, it was very comfortable and clean. My daughter was a participant in a competition at the the convention center, which was a five minute walk away, so I had booked for two nights. I had asked if I could extend my check out time from 10:30 am to around 2 pm until the competition was over and was told that would be no problem. Everyone I had contact with there (the owners) were helpful, polite and went out of their way to make sure my stay was a pleasant one. I would like to thank Priya, Ali and Kushi (sp?) for their kindness and understanding and to let them know that if I get the chance to come back to Wildwood I will definitely stay at the Rus Mar motel!
